'There's no way! How can his fire style be better than that of an Uchiha? I won't make it in time to dodge this and I don't think my fire style can counter his…' Shisui thought as his body resonated with his mind and let go of the pain he was feeling now and granted permission to his working limbs to use the body flicker jutsu one more time.
The golden fireball burnt and destroyed the ground causing the ground to turn black and hot with steam.
"Hmm, the way you let your body accumulate damage so easily, you Uchiha are too reliant on your visual prowess. Other ninjas on your level will not be so careless since they don't have aces up their sleeves unlike you Uchiha." Gilgamesh commented from his high position in the air as winds fluttered around his body, keeping him afloat.
"You…" Shisui said as he launched himself with a body flicker jutsu along with a clone at the same time. To the average ninja, they wouldn't be able to follow Shisui now, but even a jounin with some battle experience can see Shisui's movement since his body is limited by the injuries on his body.
"Slow…" Gilgamesh said but didn't move from his position.
Shisui, with his clone, appeared at the back and front of Gilgamesh launching flame attacks from his kunai from both sides using his left arm, trying to push his body against its limit.
The flames landed violently on Gilgamesh causing a small explosion but the smoke from the explosion soon began spinning and then totally dispersed outwards as if it was controlled by a tornado.
Gilgamesh appeared unscathed in that attack as his modified wind jutsu fended off that attack and still left him floating in the air.
'Pathetic. This is not enough. My new wind jutsu is so far from perfect but Shisui is not pushing me to develop it further. If I were a normal person with normal chakra reserves, my chakra would be half depleted just for dispersing that attack and also keeping me afloat. I have been expelling chakra out of my body and converting it to wind nature, which alone takes a lot of chakra, this isn't efficient.' Gilgamesh
was in deep thought as he ignored the panting Shisui who couldn't believe his target was still alive after that attack and worse, uninjured!
'This is beyond talent… he really wasn't wasting his time in the ninja library whenever I saw him go there. As a ninja, I have just been existing for the sole interest of the leaf village. I have no ambition other than to keep the village safe, but this bastard has awoken something in me that I thought I lost when my best friend died. Is this what it feels like to compete, to strive for a higher level of strength?' Shisui thought as he saw Gilgamesh in a new light.
Shisui straightened himself up and picked up his kunai in a battle stance. His chakra began to recover faster as determination was seen in his eyes.
"Ho, this one still doesn't learn the difference between us? Take this!" Gilgamesh said as he infused a little more chakra and mana into his fireball attack.
The temperature of the area rose again as Shisui began sweating buckets. From his last encounter, it took one second for the golden fireball to reach him and now it seemed the speed increased and the time taken reduced.
A part of Shisui wanted to give up and accept his death but he bit his lip which caused blood to flow to get himself back as his three tomoe sharingan began to spin…
A large explosion occurred and Gilgamesh snorted when he sensed something in the smoke.
A large rib cage with a green aura covered Shisui. There were some cracks on the rib cage but the rib cage began to heal and muscle covered it until it formed a humanoid torso seemingly made of flesh and bone and armour clothing. Gilgamesh had pushed Shisui so much that he made Shisui deplete his chakra reserves to give his Susano'o more definition and armour till he was left with very little.
Shisui stood up snakingly as he stood up and coughed blood multiple times.
Gilgamesh watched with a neutral expression as he landed on the ground slowly causing the wind the sweep the ground gently before his feet touched the ground.
If someone were watching the battle they would wonder how a kid managed to get Shisui bleeding this much and causing him to bring out his trump card. The truth was that people kept underestimating Gilgamesh because of his size, Shisui didn't underestimate him but still paid the price for attacking him directly without being aware of his surroundings at the same time which caused him so much damage in the end.
Shisui was only human after all, if has multiple injuries that could threaten his life, of course, he wouldn't be at his best in the middle of the fight. But now the tables have turned, that forced Shisui to activate his Susano'o.
"Surrender now Gilgamesh, you are strong but you ended up having an opponent like me. I can read attacks and jutsu faster with these eyes. Maybe if I didn't unlock the Mangeyko Sharingan in both eyes you would have ended this in that last attack, sadly it ends now." Shisui said as he stabilized himself.
"Don't make me laugh, why are you dragging this? Make sure you give it your all or you will regret not doing so." Gilgamesh said as he walked slowly to Shisui.
"You are a threat to the peace of the village, I will end this now." Shisui said as his Susano'o raised its lance against Gilgamesh and began spinning quickly until multiple small green needles or swords made their way in the direction of Gilgamesh.
The attack looked as if a medieval army defending its castle gates decided to use its archers at the gates to launch a barrage of arrows that covered the vision of the enemy. The needles came in quick and fast as they destroyed the terrain, Gilgamesh's eyes glowed for a second as a smile grew on his face.
