Zusammenfassung

What would you do if you were betrayed? Would you wallow in self-pity or would you seek VENGEANCE? Vengeance is something so many innocents wish for but don't receive and so that's why our mc is going to deliver what is long overdue. .... Just thought that I would add; I dont have a schedule and this is purely for fun. I have a general idea of how I want the story to go, but I will still need to think of the events leading to those points and might take a while to do so. Planned Worlds: One Piece MHA ... DXD ??? (Probably a few randoms) ATG Disclaimer: I don't own any of the original works that appear.

The Runic Alchemist

Ben, a postgraduate chemistry student, envisions a future where science unlocks the secrets of the universe. But fate has other plans. In a sudden twist, Ben dies and awakens in a strange new world, reborn as a five-year-old boy named Damian Sunblade. Damian's joy at being part of a noble family is short-lived. His family, valuing gold over blood, sells him off to another noble house to be groomed as a homemaker husband, a mere pawn in their political games. Struggling with his new reality and the remnants of his past life’s knowledge, Damian refuses to succumb to his fate. In his new household, Damian discovers that this world is governed by magic circles, Runic symbols wielding immense power. Driven by his scientific curiosity, Damian begins to experiment. Applying the laws of physics to the Rune symbols, he deciphers their secrets and invents his own unique form of magic. However, The family that bought him has their own plans for him, seeing Damian as a valuable tool to enhance their power. But Damian, ever the independent spirit, has dreams beyond servitude. He longs for freedom, a place to call his own—a life where he can use his talents without restraint. And so Damian devises a daring plan to escape. His journey is fraught with danger and intrigue, as he navigates a world filled with mystical creatures, powerful adversaries, and ancient secrets. Along the way, he forges alliances and battles enemies, all while refining his magical and scientific skills. In "The Runic Alchemist," follow Damian Sunblade’s epic quest for independence and self-discovery. Witness his transformation from a forsaken child to a formidable Alchemist, determined to carve out an extraordinary future for himself in a world teeming with infinite possibilities. ***** Author Note : Hello! GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions known. Thank you.

Writing Quality: (4/5) Easy to read with little to no issue with the writing structure itself. Not perfect but still leagues ahead of many other novels. Stability of Updates: (5/5) I started reading when there were already a nice selection of chapters available, so I didn't really run into any update issues. Story Development: (1/5) Honestly, just read the One Piece manga and you'll know exactly what happens. I read up to ch 18 and nothing significant changes in the story. I mean, the MC does do some things that SHOULD make a big impact buuuut... nothing. Character Design: (1/5) The only true OC character is the MC and he feels like any other MC from the mass of other generic fanfics. I get that some events take place that make you want to care about him, but he just feels very.... boring, bland, edge lord almost in a way. Point is it's difficult to truly take him serious after a point. World Background: (5/5) I feel this one is kind of a cheap/cheat five out of five. While the novel doesn't feel like it fails at any world background connecting stuff, it also doesn't feel like it goes out of its way to actually try either. Summary: This feels like any other generic One Piece fanfic out there. The only thing the novel does is add in the MC to the One Piece crew and have the surrounding cast react to the MC's abilities or fall in love with him; all whilst following the original One Piece story line. To be fair though, the author does state that this novel is a wish fulfillment piece of work. Good overall for a first step into writing a fanfic; you got great writing punctuation and clean writing, so work and build off of that. As far as your next novels (or the next world for the MC if you want to go that route), just be more creative and be more willing to expand beyond the pre-established narrative of the source material. Be more courageous with just throwing your MC out there or something like that. Anyways, good job on your novel so far but I'll be waiting till it improves somewhat.

It's a bit on the edgy side for me coupled with the fact that I hate harems this may be a little biased but here goes. The writing quality is good I'm pretty sure he is a native English speaker and I have seen no mistakes in his grammar and punctuation. His speed on updates is pretty slow and sporadic but considering he is doing this for fun that is expected. Story development is predictable and simple and doesn't show much thought but again is expected since he is doing this for fun. Character design is complex and shows they're thought process which most of the time is reasonable. World background this is a fanfic so I guess it's just the way they present the background of it which I am supposed to review which I would say he (I'm assuming the author is a he) does a pretty good job but I feel like you would have to have general knowledge about one piece to follow the story which you should if you are reading a fanfic about it. 3/5 Overall Review: Is a decent fanfic which shows despite him doing this for fun he does put in effort. I would say Character Design and Writing Quality are the highlights of the fanfic he does research to help us the readers understand the concepts he is trying to get across better and in my opinion is a talented writer despite that this is not my cup of tea still 166 thousand people read the things you type so this definitely pleases a wide range of people so keep doing and don't get discouraged as people are reading your work even if it doesn't feel like it. In case you don't want to read all that: Decent fanfic not my cup of tea.
