Genius of the leaf

Ryuu Uchiha, a young shinobi who has a rare bloodline of both Uchiha and Uzumaki goes through many tragedies. He lost his memories of his previous life but only retained the memories of his favourite anime world, Naruto, his previous memories are sealed and he can only recall things in a familiar situation. Ryuu is adopted by his father's greatest friend and rival Sakumo Hatake and he later learns of a secret power hidden within his body. (I don't own any naruto verse characters and stuff I only own my oc and some side characters and custom jutsus and powers) enjoy. Also, the first couple of chapters were not that good cause it was my first time but I edited them later.

Uzushiogakure Ruins

Once Ryuu was done packing, he left a note for Sakumo and went to meet up with a few more people.

'The first people I had to see before I left were Kakashi and Rikuto. I can't leave without saying goodbye to my brothers, can I?'

Ryuu found Kakashi walking around the village while reading a book.

"Stop stalking me, what do you want?"

Ryuu dropped his head depressingly.

"I came to say goodbye, I won't be here for about a month and to think, this is the last thing I'll remember you telling me?

Besides, you never mind when Mina stalks you."

Kakashi sighed and closed his book.

"Where are you going this time?"

"Well, I'm leaving to strengthen my fuinjutsu skills, recently I've realized my fuinjutsu skill set hasn't improved in years and I need to fix that, you know."

He nodded.

"Well, good luck on your journey."

Ryuu nodded, then left.

He went to meet with Kushina, who was with Rikuto at her house.

He knocked on her door, and she let him in.

"Ryuu, good to see you, I was just talking with your brother."

Ryuu nodded.

"I came here to say goodbye to both of you, I'm leaving to Uzushiogakure today."

Kushina widened her eyes.

"What do you want to see in such a place? It's all in ruins, you won't find anything, you know."

Ryuu shook his head.

"I've reached the highest possible level of Fuinjutsu, I've mastered all Fuinjutsu's and I also want to investigate our ruins, something has always rubbed me off about how we perished." Kushina nodded.

"Ryuu, even I haven't done all that, and I used to be considered a master in Fuinjutsu's," Rikuto said.

"That's right, Ryuu has surpassed most of our ancestors, we might even consider him to be on par with our great ancestor Ashina Uzumaki."

Rikuto nodded.

"He was so powerful there are tales of him defeating beasts and tailed beasts in seconds by just sealing them."

Kushina nodded.

"But anyway, my point is, there's no point in going there.

Uzushiogakure is a dead city, a dead village with nothing but ruins, if you're lucky, you could find something useful in those ruins but it's a waste of your time, you know."

Ryuu nodded.

"If you have questions, you can ask us too, you know." Ryuu nodded.

He sat down and asked a bunch of simple questions for an hour, and they both answered.

"Fine, now let me ask some tough questions." Kushina had a worried expression on her face and Rikuto seemed more interested in Ryuu's tough questions.

"Go ahead, I'm sure we can answer them."

Rikuto said.

Ryuu nodded with a grin.

"What are the exact details of the Uzumaki clan, I already know how the Senju and Uzumaki were blood-related, but they separated into these two clans and I want to know how it all happened, that's if you know."

A small smile appeared on Rikuto's face.

'Good one Ryuu, even I would like to know this, there was no mention in the original story except that they were descendants of Hagoromo Otsusuki.' Rikuto said to himself.

Kushina nodded.

"Well, this isn't much of a secret, but the only people who know it are the ones who were there during that time.

I'm not sure of it myself but from what I learned when I was a child, many centuries ago, a man who was a direct descendant of the Senju clan abandoned the clan because he had no special talents in Ninjutsu and Genjutsu.

Back then, having no talents which benefitted your clan in combat by the time you were his age was considered being a failure and so he abandoned his clan. He abandoned fighting. He only used violence as an act of self-defense.

There are countless stories about how it happened, and how he became a master at Fuinjutsu, but the most famous one is that he found a special artifact that gifted him multiple Fuinjutsu's and a large chakra pool greater than the tailed beasts.

Uzushiogakure had many tales of many special artifacts that were hidden in the village, which gave them special abilities.

You can find out more about these things in the Uzumaki compounds.

Although they're all mostly tales for children, none of them are real, you know.

You can also find more about the clan by looking at the three shrines outside the village, two are inside, with one of them being near the Uzumaki compound and the other not far on the outskirts of the village.

Anyway, I've decided I'll give you this map. It has a hidden entrance to Uzushiogakure, and to the shrines, only one of the shrines can be found easily without these.

Anyway, if you go without it, you'll get killed by the whirlpools because there's only one entrance to Uzushiogakure.

Unless…."

"What is it?" Ryuu asked.

"There's another top secret entrance to Uzushiogakure, once you perform this seal on the ground directly ahead of Uzushiogakure you should find an entrance and on the walls, there should be some strange symbols.

It's believed those were ancient sealing formulas and about this entrance, it's a top-secret entrance that only a few Uzushiogakure members knew about, and the only outsider who knew this entrance was lord first.

Grandma Mito, myself, and your mother are the only people I know of who knew where it was and how to open it."

Ryuu's and Rikuto's eyes widened.

"Our mother knew about this entrance?"

Kushina nodded.

"Only the Jinchuriki, Royal members of the family, and a selected few members from our clan could open this entrance."

Ryuu and Rikuto looked at each other.

"But just in case, I'll still give you both entrances." Ryuu nodded.

"Well, I'll see you all in a month."

Kushina and Rikuto nodded.

"Ryuu, take care, alright?"

"You too Rikuto, while I'm gone take care of our village." He nodded.

After a while, Kushina found the map to Uzushiogakure and gave it to Ryuu,

She also gave him the scroll containing the seal needed to open the hidden entrance.

Ryuu left and began his journey to Uzushiogakure.

'I used my Mangekyou to teleport near the land of whirlpools.

Apparently, without knowing where I was, I once traveled near the shore while I was on a mission, so that made it easier to navigate.

The journey to get to the shore of the land of whirlpools only took one day.'

"Woah." Ryuu's eyes widened as he realized how far he needed to go.

'Uzushiogakure is an island and I'll need to get there, it would take excellent skill to sail through all of that but luckily, I have Kushina's help.'

He pulled out a map of the place and read the sealing formula.

"Directly in front of Uzushiogakure."

Ryuu murmured while holding the map and measuring.

He bit his finger, then did some hand signs and placed his hand on the ground.

The ground revealed sealing marks for a second and then it started shaking and it opened up a secret passage with strange symbols everywhere on the ground and walls.

Ryuu could only translate one part because they wrote it in strange symbols.

"In Uzushiogakure, blood is everything."

He shrugged, not knowing what that meant.

"Is this some kind of sealing formula? Or is this something else entirely?"

Ryuu didn't waste time and wrote the symbols down in a book.

He continued into the entrance, there was an underneath tunnel heading into the city.

It had steep stairs made of stones and it also had multiple torches that were off.

'If I had Phoenix Flame right now, I'd be able to light them all from here.

There was something familiar about this place I was going to, it's like I could feel some sort of presence, whatever this presence was, I tried ignoring it but this feeling was unshakeable.'

After a while, Ryuu finally reached the bottom of the steep stairs.

'An underground city, huh?'

He lit a torch, which triggered a bunch of other torches around the city.

Ryuu began his search for answers, he spent hours looking around and writing notes when he found something out.

'As I explored the underground city, I found what looked like a library.'

Ryuu entered the library, it didn't have a door but had a sealing trap which Ryuu avoided by unsealing it.

'Once I entered, I found a countless number of books, most of them were about Fuinjutsu and so I sealed them in scrolls to read later.'

As Ryuu was sealing, he noticed a shelf that had interesting books.

"Legendary weapons." Ryuu grabbed the book.

'This one is called Amenonuhoko, it's written that this was the weapon the founder of Uzushiogakure had, a golden naginata.

It granted knowledge of fuinjutsu and long longevity with a massive chakra pool.'

Ryuu skimmed through it.

"It would be nice if I could go back to the village with such a weapon, but anyway, it isn't what I'm looking for, plus the weapon looks too heavy for real fighting."

Ryuu closed the book.

"Cough! Cough!" Ryuu coughed as the dust entered his lungs.

"That's not helpful." Ryuu sealed the book.

Ryuu continued searching the underground city.

'Huh? What's this?'

Ryuu looked at a special book that looked familiar.

He picked it up and read it.

"The Scarlet-eyed man and his crimson-eyed son."

I didn't have lights the whole day but they came in clutch after nearly the whole day.
