"There's nothing on it?" Ryuu skimmed the book to see if there was anything written on it, but all pages were blank.
'Except page 12'
Ryuu opened the 12th page and read it.
"use your true eyes."
Ryuu's eyes widened.
'Cryptic message and blank book, I've seen this one before.'
He activated his Sharingan, and words appeared in the book.
'I should've known that would work and now I'm guessing this is mother's book.'
Ryuu said to himself as he read the book.
He sat on the floor, crossing his feet.
'Not long ago, I traveled back to my village.
I had recently given birth to my son Ryuu.
Hanzo wanted me to name him that because he would represent the ruler of the dragons Ryujin, he saw our son become like a furious dragon who could burn enemies to ash in mere seconds.'
Ryuu's eyes widened.
"Could he…
No, that seems unlikely, I'll read further and get to the truth.'
Ryuu continued reading the book.
'That Hanzo had one sick sense of humor, sometimes I believed him, how he used to describe things so vividly I would laugh at his stories until one day…
One day, he used his eye and took a wider glimpse of the future, and he was never the same.
He never told me much about what he saw, I remember him talking about how the world would change as soon as our second son was born.
I would never forget this day because of what he told me he'd have to do to ensure the safety of both our sons and the world.
Hanzo loved our sons so much he would've done anything for both of them, he took the heavy burden of having our firstborn hate him.'
Ryuu frowned.
His hands started shaking, was it anger? Fear? Or sadness?
He was confused about what he should believe anymore.
"One half of the story, dad was an abusive and hateful man, and on the other…
Everyone knew him to be a loving man… I… I don't know which one I believe…"
Ryuu skipped until the last page, there was a note written on the back.
'Ryuu, I know you'll be reading this after I die, and I know you know what happened between me and Rikuto.'
Ryuu's eyes widened.
'Dad…'
'I don't expect you to forgive me, but I am truly sorry for what I've put both of you through.'
By the time Ryuu was done reading, the book had stains of tears on it.
He put the book back on the shelf and wiped his tears.
"Dad, you…" Ryuu clenched his fist.
"Damn it!" Ryuu punched the ground.
A teardrop hit the ground, and once Ryuu was done, he stood up.
"Ow!"
Ryuu swung his fist behind him as he felt a sting in his neck.
"What was that?" He started panting and sweating.
"Huh?" A ball of red light glowed in the dark room.
Ryuu reached for it, but it rolled away.
"Hey wait a minute!" He tried running towards it but ended up stumbling and dropping some bookshelves down on him.
'Damn it, I could use a bit of Phoenix Flame right now, I must be poisoned by whoever or whatever hit me.'
Ryuu attempted to heal himself using medical ninjutsu.
'It's useless, it won't work.' He got up again.
The red ball stayed still as if it was waiting for him.
Ryuu threw shurikens at it, but it dodged them.
'How did this happen? I didn't sense any chakra at all. There's no one here, I'm sure.' Ryuu followed the ball.
He kept on stumbling and hitting the wall.
The ball led him to some staircases made of stones; it was a steep spiral staircase.
'This could be a trap or it could be a secret room.
In any case, there's only one way to find out, even so, I'm losing my vision, I have to go there quick.' Ryuu followed the red ball.
He was running out of breath and then…
Thud…
Everything went dark as he fell on the stairs.
"Ugh…" Ryuu woke up, holding his head.
He felt something wet on his head.
Ryuu looked at his hand.
"I'm bleeding."
Ryuu slowly got up as he was injured.
He tried healing himself using the mystic palm technique, but nothing happened.
'Anyway, it's Nothing that bad, just a few bruises.
But, where am I?' He looked around the room and couldn't recognize the place.
He was in a room shaped like a cube and had multiple sealing marks all around, written in black and red.
'I can't find the staircase from which I fell, I also can't find that stupid ball.'
"Yawn…"
Ryuu yawned and stretched.
"Well, there's absolutely nothing here and the person who attempted to trap me here must've forgotten who's the fastest shinobi alive."
Ryuu activated a seal he placed on the shore and then he vanished.
"Huh?" Ryuu looked around and found himself in the same place as before.
"The seal didn't work?" He tried it again and got the same results.
"It's not that the seal isn't working, it's that somehow, someone contained me to only teleport in here.
How impressive…"
Ryuu slapped himself.
"Wait! Am I really trapped in here?!"
Ryuu started panicking.
He started pacing around the room and murmured the worst possibilities.
"But if I'm trapped in here, who'll teach Itachi? And what if I starve in here? I can't use ninjutsu? I can't even unseal Ichiraku Ramen!! What about love? Will I really die alone?!"
Ryuu went on for 2 more hours until he finally got tired and sat down.
'What if I use my eternal Mangekyou to teleport out of here?'
Ryuu focused chakra into his eye.
'It's slower than usual and harder to get, but I have to.' His Sharingan activated.
"Woah…" He looked around and saw writings on the walls.
"In Uzushiogakure, blood is everything."
'This is the same line I saw when I entered Uzushiogakure the first time, and these are the same sealing formulas as before.
Only, they're easier to understand…'
Ryuu dragged his fingers on the wall.
"Ow!" A small blade sliced his finger.
His blood dripped onto the floor.
"Huh?" He noticed something on the floor.
'It's like a pulse leaving a ripple effect and making a strange shape.
It looks like multiple swirls.' Ryuu traced his finger on the floor.
He widened his eyes as he figured it out.
"In Uzushiogakure, blood is everything.
I'm an idiot for not seeing the obvious message!"
Ryuu took a small tanto from his bag.
He cut himself on the wrist and spilled the blood on the floor.
The red energy from the floor started becoming more visible, and the ripple became faster.
Ryuu drew the Uzumaki clan symbol, then he drew it in reverse and after that, he drew one perfectly on top and in the middle of the other two.
He quickly wrapped his wound in bandages.
"Uzumaki seal: release!"
The entire room rumbled, and dust and small particles started falling from the roof.
Shink! A small sharp blade came out of the wall.
"Another blade?!"
Sigh.
"Fuck it."
Ryuu placed his finger on top of the razor-sharp blade.
It quickly retracted and cut him.
After a few minutes, the wall rumbled once again, then the wall pushed itself back and twisted in the form of the Uzumaki swirl and opened a door.
'I'm not going through that door before testing if my ninjutsu works.
Uzushiogakure has some crazy traps.'
Ryuu held his hand out and formed a Rasengan.
"Whew." Ryuu's Rasengan slowly disappeared.
"Shadow clone jutsu!" He sent seven clones through the door and waited a few minutes.
He received some information that only one of them made it through and then began walking inside.
As he walked, he healed himself using mystic palm and his ashes, it only took a second for the wounds to completely close up and heal.
"Shadow clone jutsu!"
Ryuu would make more clones after reaching the last place his previous ones were, then he finally reached the end after 5 hours.
There was a door with an Uzumaki spiral symbol in the middle.
Ryuu activated his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and inspected it to see if there was a trap.
He slowly opened it, not letting his guard down.
As Ryuu opened it, his eyes widened as what he saw was unbelievable.
A giant temple made of rocks and decorated with gold and behind it was a great waterfall.
There were many large trees, and all of this was inside a cave with no opening.
'I still haven't shaken off that feeling from earlier.'
Ryuu still didn't let his guard down and cautiously walked into the temple.
His jaw dropped as countless numbers of fuinjutsu scrolls were inside multiple shelves.
Ryuu didn't waste any time and ran to read the new fuinjutsu.
"All these scrolls, the lowest rank for fuinjutsu here must be an A-rank jutsu."
He spent 10 hours reading the Fuinjutsu scrolls nonstop, then took a break to have some food.
"Man, it feels like I haven't eaten in days."
He said as he ate his sixth bowl of Ichiraku ramen.
He had stacked up for an occasion like this.
"Hm?"
'Looking up, I saw an old painting of a man and his wife, she had long red hair. Some of it was tied into pigtails, green eyes, and a well-round jaw with a bright smile.
The man had dark, short, smooth hair, wore an eye patch and was partially smiling while holding a wooden staff in one hand and holding his wife in the other.
He wore a white kimono with the Senju crest on the left side of his chest and he had multiple tattoos of strange symbols on his hands and neck.'
"I'm glad you're enjoying your stay."
