Chapter 4- Is that a shelter?

Changing his method of using brute force to using strength with mind, like putting pressure and tearing the beak.

It was more useful than what he did previously as he can now damage the sparrow more with little effort.

As he was doing this, many other sparrows attacked him but his armour defended him completely from them without even getting a mark on the armour.

Arc finally killed that Bird.

[ You have killed an Mortal monster light bird, Sparrow ]

[ You have not obtained any Monster soul ]

[ To obtain Mortal energy points, consume the monster ]

These messages appeared on Arc's power screen.

Seeing one of them dying to Arc so easily, Birds were not relentlessly attacking Arc now.

But as Arc thinks that things have calmed down, three birds swooped down at once on Arc.

Arc thought that his armour could shield him from the attacks of birds so he let his guard down and focused on attacking.

But it was bad because one of the birds targeted the slight gap between the joints of his armour.

The beak of the bird was just enough to reach and scratch the body of Arc, while Arc killed those two birds in the same manner.

"Ahh, this sh*t hurt."

Then Arc grabbed the bird on his armour as well before killing it.

For a change, he has obtained the beast's soul this time.

[ You have obtained the Mortal monster soul of Light bird sparrow. ]

[ Beast soul- Mortal Monster- Light beast sparrow ( Category- weapon ) ]

Arc found that he could sense one more thing inside him. He called this beast soul and it materialized in his as a short dagger.

All birds have flown away till now, although still giving him berserk glances.

Arc who saw that thing around him was just a forest that may enhance many kinds of beasts.

Arc turned around to view at other side of the surroundings.

Some buildings seemed to be made out of some metal and stone materials combined.

"Um, is that a shelter that those people talked about? I have to go and check it for myself."

Arc walked down in that direction slowly but still looking out for some unexpected attacks from beats that might be hidden in the surroundings.

Reaching a little close to the shelter, a window pop-up appeared on his power screen.

[ Hint- Even Fellow humans can't be trusted so be wary of them, don't show your cards to others. ]

Arc pondered over this 'Hint' that appeared on his screen.

To stay on the safe side, he called back his beast souls. He was now in common form looking like what a normal human would look like.

He entered the perimeters of What he suppose is Human shelter.

Just then he saw a big white cat with a blue thunder mark on his body walking beside him, like it was not reacting to Arc.

Arc who saw this was now on his guard and quickly called the dagger monster soul he just obtained.

Finding that Cat did not react to him, Arc made good use of this opportunity and attacked it jumping toward it.

He slashed on the back legs of Cat but it did not have much impact as it made Cat bleed a little. It may be just a blood drop like a prick caused by do Blood sugar level test.

But what took him by surprise was that Cat growled at him which made him move back, but after that Cat started transforming into a human and a female at that.

"What do you think you are doing? Killing is prohibited by the mutual understanding of everyone inside the shelter. I will see you later outside the Shelter."

Saying this that female transformed back into the Cat before running inside the Shelter, but Arc saw that no one was reacting to it like it was a usual thing.

Arc's mind was like it was malfunctioning, but he went blank for a few seconds after getting threatened by an unknown female. 

'Wait, is that a transformation-related beast soul? I have a lot to learn about it.'

Arc walked inside the Shelter as well seeing many humans like him carrying weapons and having parties with other people to go for hunt. He has already called back his dagger beast soul.

When reaching the inside Arc was met with a reception-like area where a sharp-eyed female was sitting.

"Tell me your name, and after I check your entry here, you can go for your room."

"My name is Arc," Arc said.

"Your name is not a list of people in this shelter, Are you a newcomer? If so Then you have to fill up this form and then you would be assigned to one room in the shelter." Saying this Female handed Arc a form.

Arc grabbed pen and that form, before filling it in with the information that was required there.

Arc hesitated to mention his house address in the form but it was marked as required so he does have to fill it.

Completed filling form, Arc submitted to that Female.

"All good, Now this is your room number and some rules that ought to be followed by everyone. By the way, My name is Tanisha Nasir, your teleport station captain."

Arc got to know a lot of information in this short conversation with Tanisha.

Arc was in a trance while contemplating the information.

"Hey, do you know that once you get chosen for here, you can use the teleportation station here to go to Earth and the teleportation facility there to come here? Anyway, take your time to rest before going to Earth to learn things. You are lucky to survive and come to a shelter. Because chances of a person surviving is one in a thousand."

Arc looked at the room number on the page he was handed out along with the page for the rules of shelter.

'Room Number- 3612'

Arc walked in the corridor seeing the number of Rooms, seeing things from inside, Arc realized that Shelter was much bigger than he thought it would be.
