Chapter 6:

The Octopus-like Creature was about three meters tall and possessed a large, bulbous head, sporting a wide smile that seemed to never break, and had beady eyes.

Looking closely, Cale saw a pair of hidden nostrils, which made him appear to have four eyes if he was seen from afar.

"…" Cale's expression remained blanked as if he had already expected the arrival of the tall yellow octopus teacher.

His blanked expression baffled many, especially the students who were waiting for his aghast reaction.

After all, not many would experience being spooked by a creature, which they considered alien.

"Ho~Ho~Ho~. You look totally not surprised by my appearance, aren't you, Ayanokoji-kun?" The Octopus-like teacher asked, its beady eyes turning crescent.

Initially, Cale didn't know what to say or how to react at all. It was because he had no idea what was 'his' past in this world.

There was a high chance that someone from the government had already informed him about his teacher's unique identity, or maybe not. Hence, was the reason he couldn't come up with an appropriate response.

Should he show himself being shocked? Or amazed by its unique appearance?

He didn't really know.

After a second of thinking, he had already come up with a rather decisive response.

"Not really. Somebody notified me about you already, so I was kind of prepared." Cale said as his eyes darted towards Kaeda Ayano.

His subtle reaction was obviously caught by the Octopus-like teacher. Its eyes then whirled towards his student, who had quite a complicated relationship with him.

One of the 2 factors why it chose to become the teacher of the 3-E Class was because the previous teacher of the said class was his 'lover', who had died from saving him.

The other one was because of Kaeda Ayano, who was coincidentally her dead 'lover's' little sister.

"Well, well, well, I'm rather surprised that Ms. Ayano revealed such classified information to an outsider. Do you want to be penalized, Ms. Ayano, hmm?"

"W-well, he's a transfer student, so he's not entirely an outsider, I guess? Moreover, sooner or later, he will see you, sensei. I thought it's not a problem, really. So, please don't penalize me, sensei!" Kaeda Ayano clasped her hands on her chest before sporting a 'please forgive me' expression.

Truthfully, she didn't expect Ayanokoji-kun to believe her at all. She thought that Ayanokoji-kun would only consider it to be a joke or a hoax!

Kaeda Ayano then felt more despaired when she recalled that there would be a pudding shop opening later.

It was said that there would be free special puddings to be given to the first 100 customers.

Once she was penalized, she would be then counseled for 1 hour straight after school.

By the time 1 hour passed, more than 100 customers would have already visited the Pudding Shop by then!

"Well, since you gave me an acceptable explanation, I'll let you off the hook. However, please always remember that transmitting confidential information with civilians would result in rightful punishments."

"Thank you very much, Sensei!" Kaeda Kayano bowed her head, her face sported a happy smile.

She glanced at Ayanokoji-kun before letting a 'hmph' sound and looking away.

Although she knew that this was her fault, she still felt a bit of bitterness at Ayanokoji-kun for almost losing her once-in-a-lifetime chance of getting the special pudding.

"That being said, let's welcome our new student, Ayanokoji-kun!" Saying so, the octopus-like teacher abruptly vanished.

Cale then felt a presence suddenly appear behind him. He was about to turn his head when a voice suddenly sounded from behind.

"Oiya? You react really fast, Ayanokoji-kun." Standing behind Cale was the octopus-teacher, but instead of wearing his teacher uniform, he was donned in colorful clothes with words written on them: Welcome To The 3-E Class!

And on its head was a celebration cap.

With 2 popping sounds, the party poppers in its tentacle-like hands erupted, blasting colorful confetti in the air.

"As the protagonist of the party, why don't you introduce yourself to the class, Ayanokoji-kun?"

Cale nodded his head, he then went stood in the middle of the platform. He surveyed his fellow 'classmates', looking intently at their faces

'Except the Robot Girl, Karma Akabane, and the Octopus-boy, all the current 3-E students are here.' Cale noted in his mind.

Within a second, he had already made a few simulations of what to do and what to say.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. I wish we'll have a bountiful year together." Cale bowed his head.

"Let's give Ayanokoji-kun a round of applause!" The octopus-like teacher said. He clapped his tentacle-like hands but it only produced soft sounds.

After a second, a student finally clapped.

With one as the leader, a chain of reactions was triggered. One by one, the students began to clap.

Several seconds later, the clapping eventually stopped.

"And that's the end of Ayanokoji-kun's welcome ceremony. Let's start the class!" As its voice reverberated, the students, including Kaeda Kayane hurriedly went to their seats.

"Ara~, don't be shy and pick any available seats Ayanokoji-kun." The yellow creature said, looking at Cale who was standing all alone.

Cale nodded and surveyed the room. After a second, his eyes fall upon the empty chair beside an open window at the very back of the room.

'Neat.' Cale inwardly thought as he proceeded to wall towards the chair.

He reckoned that in the majority of the anime he watched, the main characters would always have a seat beside the window.

The yellow creature and most of the students stared at Cale with their scrutiny eyes. Other than his name, they didn't really know much about the transfer student. They were curious about him.

'I don't have a ba-' Cale's thought abruptly stopped when he felt something on his back.

It's like something was heavy was put on his back.

Turning his head, he saw a black backpack clinging to his back. It was as if the backpack was always there.

Not only did a backpack suddenly materialize, but his pajamas were also replaced by a school uniform that exactly looked like his other male classmates'.

Cale discreetly observed his surroundings, but although others were still watching him, they seemed to be oblivious of his changes, as though nothing out of ordinary happened at.

Fortunately, after experiencing all this ordeal, Cale's mental tolerance of supernatural and out-of-this-world things became stronger.

"Well, then. Let's start everyone!"

Cale had just been seated on his chair when the yellow creature's voice suddenly

A blue-haired teenager stood up from his seat, standing upright as he could. He opened his mouth and said loudly,

"Stand up!"

Simultaneously, all of Cale's classmates stood up.

Luckily, Cale's brain was now much smarter. Only half a second late, he successfully followed the lead.

Acting as the leader, the blue-haired teenager bent his upper body forward.

"Bow!"

With much discipline, the students followed his lead as they also bowed.

"Please teach us well today, teacher(sensei)!"

""Please teach us well today, teacher!!""

After shouting in sync, the blue-haired teenager slowly retracted his upper body. As the others started to raise their heads, something caught Cale's attention.

Cale stared at the firearms in his classmates' hands. They all suddenly raised their arms and pointed the barrels of their guns at the yellow creature, whose huge smile never left its slimy face.

Bang!
