Chapter 7: Special Identity

Ratata!

Bang! Bang!

Sounds of various guns resounded in the classroom.

Since this was his first time encountering this, Cale felt a little unpleasant due to how loud the guns were. He enclosed his ears with his hands as he looked at the situation, analyzing and assessing every detail, both small and large, that he might use in the future.

As he already predicted, although there were dozens of students firing unrelentlessly at the octopus teacher, it still managed to avoid every plastic bullet with ease.

The octopus teacher was so fast that there were several flashing afterimages wherever it went.

"Nyehehe~, such a very, very warm greeting from my precious students! Your teacher is so happy!" The octopus teacher giggled as it continued to dodge every bullet easily as if he had done this a hundred times before and was already well-versed in it.

At this moment, only its joyous laughter and rattling firearms echoed in the room.

Eventually, the guns in the students' hands ran out of bullets after continuously firing for several seconds straight.

Tak! Tak! Tak!

The students then stared at the firearms in their hands, looking at the smoke coming out of the barrels, then they shifted their gazes towards the octopus teacher, whose state was still similar to earlier, still looking fine and healthy.

Even 1 bullet out of thousands of bullets didn't scrape the octopus teacher!

He was too fast!

Some of the students sighed in resignation while others groaned in frustration. They all felt powerless and helpless in front of the freaking fast alien.

"Damn it!" Ryoma Terasaka gritted his teeth as he banged his table in irritation.

He couldn't have this! At this rate, the world might be destroyed by the vicious and nasty alien!

No matter what, he must slay it before it obliterated the earth and turned it into countless debris drifting mindlessly in the space!

"As I anticipated, we still couldn't kill it even with our joint surprise operation..." Nagisa Shota murmured as he absentmindedly sat on his chair before taking out a notebook and starting to write on it.

He was jotting down what had just happened and would further examine it when he had free time. After several days of being with the octopus teacher, Nagisa Shota had already managed to see some of its behavior and a few small weaknesses and noted them on his paper.

Regardless, he had 1 year of time so Nagisa Shota was confident that he would be able to see its fatal weakness and formulate a perfect plan to kill it in one fell swoop!

Nagisa Shota paused before tilting his head, he discreetly peeked at his new classmate.

'I don't know why but I feel there's something special about him.' Nagisa Shota inwardly thought. He was truly curious about the transfer student.

The way he moved his body, it was neither stiff nor soft. The way he walked on the cardboard floor only created soft footsteps. It should be known beneath the wooden floor was empty, nothing to absorb the shock, and the floor itself was thin but durable, so walking on it would cause loud noises, even if they wore rubber shoes and tried their best to stay light.

Moreover, he was too calm about the current situation. Firstly, the sudden appearance of the octopus teacher didn't shock him too much as it did to them several days ago.

Kayano had already hinted him, so he could someone understand his apathetic reaction. But, even after witnessing his classmates pulling out a variety of guns and unhesitatingly firing at their teacher still not startled him.

Nagisa Shota glanced at the indifferent expression of Ayanokoji for the last time before refocussing his attention on his notes.

Cale could feel several curious and cautious glances from his several classmates but he decided to ignore them. He then proceeded to sit on his chair before tilting his head.

Inside of his desk apartment laid a pistol and several full magazines.

Curiosity got the best of him as he grabbed the gun and felt its weight.

Surprisingly, the gun was light.

Was it because the pistol was plastic or his body had become stronger?

Cale dismissed his assumptions since he could try them later on when he was free.

He lightly tossed the gun to his other hand and started fiddling it.

This was the very first time he had a pistol in his hands in his entire life even though it's plastic, but for some reason, he had some sort of familiarity with it. It was like he had been practicing it for a few years straight.

The octopus teacher stood behind the desk and looked at his students. Seeing that most of them had proceeded to sit down and began paying attention to it, the octopus teacher lightly coughed to gain the rest of the students' attention.

"Ehem! Since the warm greetings had finished, let's start the clas-" Its words were abruptly cut off.

Bang!

A gunshot abruptly echoed and the octopus teacher in front suddenly vanished, nowhere to be seen.

Most of the students hurriedly twisted their heads and looked in the direction where the gunshot came from.

There, they saw the transfer student holding a gun with his right hand while pointing the barrel to the place where the octopus teacher previously was.

'The recoil wasn't that strong.' Cale inwardly said.

Silence dawned upon the room. The rest of the students and the teacher were taken aback by Cale's sudden action.

After all, they had tacitly acknowledged that no assassinations would transpire throughout the duration of their class.

Some scratched their necks, some others sighed, and some wry smiled. They recalled that this was the first day of the transfer student. Thereby, they believed that he didn't know the rules yet.

Most of them accepted this explanation except for one.

Tanaka who was already irritated became enraged by Cale's unexpected action. He smacked the surface of his table and stood up.

"Fucker! No assassination attempt should happen while the clas- Woah!" Ryoma Terasaka subconsciously sidestepped while covering his face with his arms when he saw the transfer student suddenly pointing the pistol at him.

"And that's it~. As classmates, no harm should be done against each other." The octopus teacher's voice sounded before instantly arriving in front of Cale, in one of its hands was Cale's pistol.

"I apologize, teacher." Cale stood up and bowed towards the octopus teacher.

"Nyehehe~, as long no harm is done, all is well, all is well." The octopus teacher let out a laugh before quickly disappearing and appearing in front of the class.

He seemed so nonchalant about Cale's violent reaction. After all, who would just point a loaded pistol at an unarmed teenager?

"Well, then. Let's finally start the class." The octopus teacher announced. It didn't force Cale to apologize to Ryoma Terasaka for many reasons.

One of them was to show Ryoma Terasaka that his actions would cause different reactions from different people. He must have thought that Cale would back off or even cower, but he certainly didn't expect Cale not to be either and directed his gun promptly at him.

Second, it was to make him ponder about this situation and learn to control his emotions, otherwise, bad scenarios could happen in the future.

As assassins, it was required for them to control their emotions to avoid unwanted outcomes.

But, most importantly, the octopus teacher could see its image in Cale. It was the image of his younger days when he was a little bit impulsive and irrational.

Moreover, the lack of emotions except for curiosity on Cale's face deeply unsettled the octopus teacher. It was as if Cale wanted to test his pistol to a genuine pig, wondering if it would cause irreparable or salvageable findings.

Meanwhile, while the octopus teacher was giving his lectures, the students themselves had inwardly made judgments about Cale.

'A psycho, that guy's definitely a psycho.' Ryoma Terasaka and others quoted.

'So cool. He looked like the overbearing CEOs and domineering princes in novels.' Many of the females and even some of the guys thought.

Time passed by and the school bell finally rang, signifying the time of lunch break had come.

As Cale watched his classmates burst into cheering, the octopus teacher suddenly appeared beside him.

"Come with me to the teacher's office." It said before disappearing with a gush of wind.

'Good grief.' Cale inwardly sighed before packing his stuff into his bag and standing up from his seat.

His classmates were busy celebrating that the sudden appearance of the octopus teacher beside Cale went unnoticed.

"Ayanokoji-kun, wanna eat together?" Kaede Kayano said from afar as she approached Cale.

"Sorry, the teacher called for me." Cale flashed an apologetic smile before heading out for the door.

"Okay." Kaeda Kayano nodded in understanding before going towards her friend, Nagisa Shota. She was not that disheartened not to be able to associate with Cale and get to know him more since she knew she had 1 year of time for that.

As Cale went on his way, groups of students would become silent when he walked near them and some of them cast cautious glances while others showed curious stares.

Some of the girls were about to call out for him when their friends stopped them.

They still didn't know much about the transfer student. And from the way he acted earlier, they would not be surprised when he suddenly punched someone right in the face.

For now, they wanted to know more about him before getting associated with him.

Cale ignored his classmates' clamors before leaving the classroom and making his way towards the teacher's office.

His soft footsteps reverberated in the empty corridor. After a few moments, Cale stood in front of the teacher's office door.

Fortunately, he had already bumped into this place earlier and with his new sharp memory, he easily remembered it preventing him from going around the building just to search for it.

'Is Koro-sensei will scold me about what I did earlier or is it about something else that I'm unaware of?' That was his thought since the time the octopus teacher, Koro-sensei suddenly appeared beside him.

Either way would not really matter that much. To him, Koro-sensei could scold him no matter how many times it wanted as long as his objective, his classmates and teachers' well-beings not in danger.

Cale then stretched out his right hand before opening the sliding door.

Inside of the small room was 2 people, one was Koro-sensei, while the other one was Tadaomi Karasuma, an agent that was sent to supervise Koro-sensei.

"Do you know what you've done, agent 007?" Tadaomi Karasuma asked while leaning on the closed window with a serious expression on his face. He looked somewhat cool.

'Agent 007? James Bond?'
