I opened my eyes, rubbing my head in pain, slowly regaining my memories of what I did earlier. 'So that's what happened huh...', I remembered passing out but completing my task beforehand. From what I could gather, although a bit hazy to remember, was that the system transported me here or assumed to be the system. I remember barely seeing a blue light cover me, before I went here. Other than that, I felt different... .

Unusually so, my body felt lighter, and I felt much MUCH stronger, even with my adaption kicking in, I shouldn't be this powerful by my estimations. Next, I stood up examining myself, My skin was now a sun kissed white, with a faint brown complexion, my hair was far longer as well, easily reaching the bottom half of my back, and strangely it was a bit lighter than it used to be. With a extremely small part of my hair being pure white, ethereal was what I could describe it as, it was emanating a faint glow as well. I seemed to have grown a bit taller as well too, now being around 5,9.

I checked my appearance by a near by lake that was here. I was shocked to say the least. I was now a solid 5 or 6 in the looks department, My eyes having a faint crimson hue to them, I could probably go higher score higher if you take into account my new 'features' now , not that it mattered. I had no one to show said looks too.

Though, after examining myself, I thought about something strange. Going back through the events of what transpired an unknown amount of time ago, was the movements of the ape. like creature, I went through my mind palace, focusing on what I had seen with perfect clarity. The monster, I scanned through its behavioral patterns, and where it chased me and where it turned, every move that rendered it suspicious. 'Interesting, It's like it was purposefully leading me to a dead end...'. And that's when it hit me. If the monsters could grow strong physically, why couldn't they grow mentally as well?

That damn ape creature Knew my location the moment I got here, and it marked me for days!, the system told me as well that it was doing so. And its movements where in such a order, that it was leading me into a place I couldn't no WOULDN'T be able to escape. 'Tsk', I was foolish, to think it could be that easy, but, now I know why it was so 'off', but since I was focusing on survival. I didn't pay enough attention to its schemes.

Lessoned learned, higher zones have higher intelligent creatures as well with a possible growing intellect as well. Now that mental note was made, I needed to ask the system about what was going on. These changes that are happening with my body are clearly unknown and not by me either.

'Interesting', The system actively went of its way to help me recover, that can mean one thing. It has some sort of sentience or personality. This was good information, since it wasn't an asshole like the other fanfic systems that had ego or personality as well. It was nice and always helpful. This can be considered another perk as well in and of its own.'

AUTHUR: You guys might be saying he got way too strong, too quickly, but this was only due to the new race, perks, poison recovery and adaption kicking in. Serving to boost the MC to this level. Note that these boosts are rare, especially since the mc wont get himself into said situations often if ever again.
