Watching the carnage unfold before me, all sound from the battle slowly faded away, and everything seemed to slow down. Looking around, I tried to steady my beating heart. Then, turning towards the execution platform, I spotted three figures standing tall as if above the carnage.
My blood boiled as I glared at the three Admirals. How dare they act above everyone else. For the first time since reincarnating, I remembered my old life. A normal no-name who wasted his years away at an office job, going down the beaten path of so many before him.
Then I remembered how much my life had changed. I could do the impossible, suddenly everything snapped back into focus, and my smile slipped from my face. An alien serenity came over me as I made peace with the path I had forged, knowing I was nearing its end.
White knuckling Sanguinem, I launched myself at the platform. The three in front of me were the wall blocking me from creating a new path. In this world, my legend. Almost immediately, the admirals spotted me, my wind whipping away from my face from the speed I was traveling at.
The first to meet me was Kizaru. Faster than I thought, the admiral appeared in front of me, and with a look of disdain, he lashed out with his foot hitting me at the speed of light. I slammed into the ground but stood up immediately unfazed.
Sensing something moving fast to my right, I braced for impact, but I was a second too late as a beam of light struck me in the chest, sending me flying again. As I passed through the air, I opened my senses, consuming every happening around me at once.
My pupils glowed red as I thrust out my hand that was covered in the void just in time to pierce through Kizaru as he teleported above me. I smiled in triumph as I flipped around and landed on my feet.
But before I could land the killing blow, a pillar of magma erupted from the ground and engulfed me burning my skin and letting Kizaru, "You will die here today, you villainous scum."
I held up my arm and threw away the last vestiges of burning slag as Akainu walked towards me, the ground around him turning cherry red. I didn't respond, only brandishing my weapon as my haki exploded out of me with such a force that it cracked the ground.
Akainu scowled before turning into a tidal wave of lava, merging with the force of nature trying to drown me. Holding out my hand, I created a portal letting the lava pour in, the battle turned to a standstill as Akainu wanted to overwhelm me, and I scanned the lava for any sign of his natural form.
The lava flow eventually stopped, and Akainu reformed into his body, "You won't win just by stalling, you know?" I taunted the admiral, hoping to cloud his mind with anger. But Akainu just smiled, "I wasn't stalling."
He then slammed his fist into the ground, and a dome of lave surrounded me before the floor beneath my feet melted away, revealing a pit filled with lava several hundred meters deep.
I broke out into a free fall before growing a pair of wings and shooting into the air from the vent of hot air. As I flew out from the hole, the dome of lava appeared, and my eyes widened as I spotted the meteor hurtling towards the earth aimed to hit me directly.
Knowing it would be game over for the majority of my forces if the boulder hit the earth, I flapped my wings even harder, breaking the sound barrier as I rushed to intercept the chuck of magma breaking through the earth's atmosphere.
I infused Sanguinem with haki before creating a sheath and stowing the blade, hovering in the air. I watched as the meteor approach. The air was stained scarlet as the mass of rock rubbed against the air creating a fiery halo.
Then at once, my muscles seemed to double in size as I drew Sanguinem in a slash. There was no size of an air blade, but I smiled a second before the air in front of the meteor was split in half as space tore apart.
A chaotic energy that no force in the universe could deny opened, consuming the meteor and leaving no trace of it behind. Landing on the ground, I stood, letting the ash of the burning air dance in the air around me and point my sword at Akainu.
"If that was your best effort, I am sorely disappointed." Akainu scowled, "Do you understand what will happen once the World Government collapses. The world will be upended in chaos, and justice will be a forgotten world of the past!"
The admiral's scream with spittle flying from his lips as his face contorted into a mask of rage. "You are nothing but a pirate who wants to see this world destroy itself!" My face turned cold, and almost as fast as Kizaru, I plunged my sword into Akainu's chest.
I looked into his eyes as the light faded from them, "I am much more than a pirate." I kicked the admiral's body off my blade, glad to be rid of him.
Little did I know my entire fight was being watched by the whole world, "I have risen from hell to kill the gods!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, drowning out the rest of the battlefield.
