I looked out from my advantage point of Akuma, tensions were high, and the air was heavy with expectation. Everything was ready. Today was the day that everyone in the world was waiting for.
I looked to my left and right. Both Whitebeard and Dragon were on their ships, each leading a fleet of fifty ships behind them. Turning around, I pushed my way through the crowd into the hold where Cal, Leana, and Robin were waiting.
"Is there a problem," Leana asked before I pulled her into a kiss. I repeated it with the rest of my women, giving them the attention they deserved.
Robin was the last, and when we separated, she was blushing, "My Soren, where did that come from?" I smiled, "This is the end. After this day, we will crush the Marines. Without their army, the World Government will fall, and then we will finally be free from their rule.
All my women smiled, as each had suffered due to World Nobles subtle hand moving the back round. As I looked at them, my mind flashed back to the first moment when I woke up in a cold cellar, confused and curious.
Looking up to the heavens, I said a silent prayer to the god who had reincarnated, 'This may be overdue, but I hope one day we can share a drink again.' Though I didn't get any direct response, I couldn't shake the feeling that he had heard it.
Coming back to the present, I could help smiled, "Know, I think it will be good for the troops to see us before the battle." Opening the door, all four of us walked through the awaiting soldiers, ready to lay down their lives for a cause they believed in.
And even though I was supposed to inspiring them, I couldn't help but be encouraged to win the upcoming battle. Just as we made it to the front of the ship, the fog cloud we had been sailing through cleared, revealing a very different Enies Lobby.
The gates were now a solid metal wall with countless cannons pointing outward read to fire upon any ships the drew close. Unfortunately, that put us as the primary target. A second later, the artillery opened fire, the air shaking the concussive blasts.
Holding out my hand, I created a portal covering the entire ship and watched as the cannonballs flew through before another portal opened above the walls. The same ammunition they fired dented their defenses.
"What do you think? Will they keep firing, thinking you can keep this up for long, or will they be smart and try and stop our approach?" Cal asked with a smile on her face.
I shook my head, "It doesn't matter. Hebi's already in position." Suddenly it felt like a second sun rose into the air as a beam of concentrated light pierced through the clouds melting straight through the metal walls.
The laser went or a warpath cutting a sizeable hole where we, "Alright, it looks like I'm up." Pressing my hands together and focused, sweat started to bead up on my forehead, and I tore through space and time and created my biggest portal yet.
Nearly two miles wide and several hundred feet tall, I heard Robin scream into her Den Mushi Mushi for all ships to charge through to portal onto the other side and prepare for combat.
"Please tell them to hurry. I can't hold this for too long, and I don't want anyone stuck in the void for eternity." I watched as the last ship went through before Akuma finally moved to enter the portal and appeared in the middle of the warzone.
"Alright, people, we only have one shot. This is all or nothing. Our destiny is to either die here or live and see tomorrow." There was a roar from everyone on board before they jumped ship and dived into the ocean, swimming towards the shore.
Cal gave me one more kiss before she jumped, soaring incredibly high, almost to the point where I could barely see her.
Leana's fur stood up on end as she started to spark with electricity, and Robin crossed her hands, creating several clones of herself, "I will stay behind and help crew the ship from here."
I nodded before launching myself into the air. Flying into the air, I scanned the battlefield looking at the execution platform where Evos was set to be killed. But I couldn't find him, which ate away at the back of my mind.
But I ignored it, breaking out into the dive and slamming into the ground behind enemy lines. As I stood up, I heard the firing of at least a hundred guns. In an instant, I drew Sanguinem from my palm and swept out in an arc.
My blade came away coated in blood as bodies fell to the ground around me. Stepping out of the crater, I looked at the sea of terrified faces and grinned, "Well, come on then make this dance entertaining, and I'll make your deaths quick."
While regular marines would be passing their pants, this was the headquarters. Every soldier here was of notable rank. A single gunshot rang out, and my head lurched back as the bullet hit me in the face.
Standing full up, I wiped my cheek, looking at the single drop of blood, "You almost took out my eye. Guess you guys are a cut above the rest." Stepping forward, I launched myself into the enemy line, leaving a trail of headless bodies behind me.
Flying across the ground, I descended on wings of death, reaping the enemy like wheat. As I moved from kill to kill, not a single drop of blood landed on me.
The air was red with blood in less than a minute, the miniature droplets giving the air a metallic taste. StoppIng for a second, I held up my hand and gathered all the blood into a single orb.
"Grim's Harvest." The words left my mouth at a barely audible level, but the reaction was anything but. The orb exploded lashing out with tentacles that cleaved into the enemy breaking bones with each sweeping blow.
