Chapter xx

It's been a month since i returned home and i have never been happier. I am in touch wIth Lucy and she is amazing. It was Cheng's turn to meet my family and i was so nervous. I am making dinner for them because they are both coming to my apartment. Cheng was coming straight from the airport and my Mum and Dad from the office so yeah. They were the first to arrive then Leo and Lily followed who i had no idea were coming but i figured the more the merrier. "So who is this person that you are so nervous to introduce us to?", Dad asked with a serious face that Leo had too. "Guys come on", Mum said in a warning tone just when there was a knock on the door. I released a breath then opened it. "Hey Cupcake", Cheng said hugging me, i hugged him back then ushered him in. "Chef Young?", dad said with shock. "Riverson", he replied. "Lina are you sure about this?", Dad asked and i nod my head not saying a word. I did not trust my own voice. "Ok then. If that is what you want", he said sitting on the dinning table", i went to the kitchen with Lily right behind me. "This is a disaster", i said nervously. "No it's not. Leo didn't say anything and he wont because i already had a 'chat' with him so relax", Lily said making me feel relaxed. "Fuck i think i need a tampon, do you have some?", "Gosh no...i just finished a pack...oh god!", i said on panic mode now and Lily caught up to it. "Lina, are you ok?", she sounded worried bringing me back to reality. "I missed my period Lily, oh god, this can't be happening", i sat on the kitchen stool not trusting my legs to remain strong. "Hey calm down", "Is everything ok?", mum asked entering the kitchen. I cleared my throat hoping that she wont ask too many questions. She helped setting down the food. I sat next to Cheng who held my hand kissing it and dropped it on his thigh.

"So what are your plans with my daughter?", dad asked. Cheng looked up to him, "I want to spend the rest of my life with her, if she will have me". He turned to face me as he said the last words making me smile. "And the distance?", he continued pressing. "Well i honestly don't mind moving here as long as am with her" Cheng replied calmly. "Ok", "Are you done with your bad cop questions love? I want to know when is the wedding", mum said making me choke on my food. "What? He already loves you and proposed to you so...", "Mum!", i said feeling embarrassed. "Well, am just saying why wait?", she said wiggling her brows. She is unbelievable. Cheng was laughing at something Leo said. I was happy that they were getting along. After eating the men went to the living room and they were talking about something they just saw on TV. They looked relaxed and liked it. "They like him, this is good i was so worried", mum said making me laugh. "Mum!", "Your dad had a hunch, same one i did but i kept on telling him you two were just friends but i knew he liked you so i was just hoping that i was right. I can see my tiny asian grand babies running all around this place", she said with excitement. I gave a fake smile just hoping that her dreams would not come true. I was yet to talk to Cheng about this and here i was missing my period and not even noticing it. I just hoped that i was wrong. Coming to think of it, i didn't feel different so that kept me on a positive. At least until i do a pregnancy test tomorrow.

"I missed you", Cheng said while attacking my body with kisses. I tried to kiss back but my mind was elsewhere. "Cupcake what's wrong? Did i do something?", he asked worried. "No, it's just that...can we talk?", i asked and he pulled away from me allowing me to sit on the bed. "I think am pregnant", i said nervously. He looked like he was trying to find the right words to say. "What do you mean you think Lina? Are you pregnant or not?", he asked calmly. "I don't know", i said feeling tears running away from my eyes. "Why are you crying?", he asked in a way that made me feel like i was being interrogated. "Cheng i swear to you that i didn't do this on purpose, i was...i am on a pill, i just don't know how this happened, am so-",i was cut off by his lips on mine, he kissed me hungrily. I found myself responding to him and ignoring everything else until he pulled back and looked into my eyes with his body on top of mine. "Now that we have that one sorted. How about we go to the pharmacy tomorrow and get that test because i want to have a baby with you and if that test comes out negative, am going to spend the rest of the week making babies with you. Is that a guarantee enough Cupcake?", he asked with a smile making me smile too. "Yes, thank you", i said whipping my tears away. "For what Cupcake?", he asked looking confused. "For being there for me and loving me", i said avoiding his eyes making him chuckle.
