Chapter 12 - First Singularity End

After the explosion happened due to Medusa's Noble Phantasm hitting Artoria, the group from Chaldea looked at the explosion wondering what happened. Felix could feel the connection with her through his contract so he knew that she was fine. But then Medusa jumped out of the smoke and landed beside them as she kneeled on the ground.

"Medusa. Are you okay?" Felix said as he stood beside her though he didn't try to look at her face.

"I'm fine Master. Thank you for asking." Medusa said as she put on her blindfold.

"Good to hear. Medea, please blow the smoke away." Felix said to the Caster who nodded to him.

She then used her magic and blew the smoke covering where Artoria is as it revealed her. She is currently kneeling there using her sword as support as they could see that almost all of her body has been turned to stone as she looked at them.

"Impressive. You truly managed to defeat me." Artoria said as she looked at them.

They saw her body turning to motes signifying that she is disappearing from there. Medusa stood up from her place as she faced Artoria with the rest of Chaldea.

"The most impressive among them was you, Master of Chaldea. You are different from most mages." Artoria said as she looked at him.

"Thanks for the praise. Ow." Felix said though he winced a bit as he leaned on Medusa a bit surprising the Servant.

"Are you okay Master?" Medusa asked her master concerned.

"Yeah. But my body is a bit sore from all of that fighting." Felix said to her as he took a deep breath and let it out.

"You'll need a master like that if you want to fulfill your goal." Artoria said to them seriously.

"And what does that mean Saber?" Cu said as he appeared from the entrance.

"Mister Cu!" Mash said happily when she saw him.

"Yo! I managed to defeat that bastard Archer and came to help. But it looks like you didn't need it." Cu said with a smirk.

"What do you mean by that?" Olga asked the alter Servant seriously.

"The Grand Order. The battle of Chaldea to protect the Human Order. There are still many battles left for you to accomplish that." Artoria said to her in response.

"Oi Saber! Tell us clearly what you mean?!" Cu said to her a bit irritated as he reached the group of Chaldea.

"You will know soon." Artoria said before she disappeared in front of them.

"Oi-! Damn it. Ah shit." Cu said before cursing when he saw his body turning to golden motes.

"Cu." Felix said as he saw him.

"Guess my time is up. Now that Saber has been defeated there is no need for me here. And kid?" Cu said as he looked at Felix.

"What is it?" Felix asked him already having an inkling about what he is about to ask.

"Next time you summon me, summon me as a Lancer okay. That's suits me more." Cu said to him as he put his staff over his shoulders before he disappeared.

"Sure." Felix said as he watched him disappear.

"At the very least we managed to correct the singularity." Mash said as she looked at him.

"Yeah. Thanks Medusa, you can let go of me now." Felix said to her as he stood straight.

"As you wish Master." Medusa said to him as she let go of him.

"The Grand Order. How did she know about it?" Olga thought to herself aloud.

"Thanks." Felix thanked Medea for using her magecraft to heal his body.

"It isn't a big deal." Medea said to him with a nod.

"Still, thanks for the help. My body was hurting a bit from overexerting it." Felix said to her with a smile.

'Not to mention the fact that what we're about to meet.' Felix thought to himself as he clenched his fists not noticing the blush on Medea's face.

"Director?" Mash asked Olga as she looked at her.

"Oh! Uh, good work Master Felix and Mash and Rider and Caster. With your help Chaldea has managed to correct this singularity. Good work." Olga said to them with a serious face.

"Thank you for the praise." Felix said with a smile.

"Me too Director." Mash said with a smile.

But then suddenly the sound of someone clapping can be heard from around the cave as the people became alert as they looked for the source.

"Impressive. I truly never expected you to make it this far." The familiar voice of a man was heard.

"That voice?!" Olga said shocked when she heard that.

The members of Chaldea looked at the cliff that Artoria had been standing and saw a man wearing green clothes standing there as he clapped his hands. The three from Chaldea recognised the man as being Lev Lainur from Chaldea while the two Servants got on guard when they felt him. Mash and Felix also did the same as they looked at him while Olga had a look of hope on her face.

"Lev! You're okay! Lev!" Olga said with hopeful tone.

"Professor Lev!" Roman's voice came from Felix's watch.

"Yes Olga, I'm fine. And it looks like you're fine as well Romani." Lev said with a smile.

"Oh Lev!" Olga said as she walked to him only for Felix to grab her hand and stop her causing her to look at him and glare at him.

"What are you doing? Unhand me now!" Olga said furiously.

"Sorry director. But I don't trust him." Felix said as he held her.

"Let go of me this instant!" Olga said in anger as she pulled her hand.

"You have good senses candidate Felix. It was my mistake to think that you were remarkable. If not then Olga would not have been alive right now." Lev said with an edge in his voice.

"Wh-What?" Olga said as she was surprised when she heard him.

"And Romani. I had told you to come to the command centre but you were late which left you alive as well. Truly worthless, can't even follow a simple order." Lev said with disdain.

"Professor Lev." Roman said as he looked at his screen with the others in Chaldea looking at the man.

"Let me introduce myself correctly. My name is Lev Lainur Flauros. The one charged with the eradication of mankind in this time!" Lev said with a wide smile.

Medusa and Medea glared at the man in front of them as they knew he was different but since they didn't know what abilities he had they didn't move but we're ready to strike.

"I'm sure you've already realised it. You can't contact the outside world. But that is not due to any fault from your machines, but rather it is because there is on one in the world left to receive it." Lev said in a tone of finality.

"As I had thought, it wasn't because our equipment was faulty. It was because everyone else in the world was eradicated." Roman said with a serious tone.

"That's right. It was supposed to go smoothly, but then things happened that I hadn't expected. For example, I did account for Master candidate Felix and his observation of my behaviour, which in the end led to him saving you from the bomb that I had planted under her." Lev said as he grit his teeth.

"L-Lev. You're not serious right! Tell me that what you're telling isn't true!" Olga pleaded to him in a desperate tone.

"What I said isn't false. I had planted the bombs which had destroyed Chaldea and I had planted one right under you. You would've been killed if it weren't for Felix jumping in and saving you. But I shall rectify that mistake." Lev said as the greater grail flew to his hand.

Olga meanwhile was scared when she heard him. The man that she had trusted more than anyone else had just admitted to having tried to kill her.

'C-Can't I trust anyone?' Olga thought to herself in horror.

Then her attention was brought by Lev making a portal which showed the globe Chaldeas which was glowing red which surprised her while the same thing was also happening at the command room in Chaldea.

"Ch-Chaldeas is red. H-How.." Olga said with dread in her voice.

"Watch it scion of the Animusphere family and see the result of your folly! There is no future for humanity left, you will all die like useless trash! You will die not because of any invasion by foreign beings, nor due to reaching an evolutionary end! But instead, you will die due to losing the favour of our King!" Lev shouted as he had a manic smile on his face.

"Medea!" Felix shouted as he glared at the man.

Medea immediately attacked Lev as the man simply waved his hand and great winds were created which destroyed the attacks causing her to click her tongue in response.

"While it is annoying that you had survived Olga. I will give you one last gift." Lev said speaking as if he hadn't just been attacked.

"Wh-What!?" Olga said as she felt a pull on her body as her body was raised.

"Olga!" Felix shouted as he grabbed her left hand with both hands and pulled.

"D-Don't let go!" Olga shouted to him as she held his hand.

Mash also grabbed her hand with Medusa also doing the same but Lev attacked them causing them to lose their hold of Olga as she was pulled towards Chaldeas.

"Wait no please! I don't want this! That's Chaldeas!" Olga screamed in fear and tears as she was getting closer to it.

"That's right. This is Chaldeas, it is safe to say that it is like a black hole. If you were to be absorbed into it then your body will be destroyed and then remade. Experiencing infinite death and rebirth." Lev said with a wide smile.

"No! Please! Someone! Anyone! Felix! Save me! I don't want to die! Why does this always happen to me! Nobody had ever praised me for anything! Help me please! Felix! Felix!" Olga screamed in fear as she neared Chaldeas and her right leg touched it as she screamed in pain.

But before her body was about to reach Chaldeas she was wrapped by chains from Felix and Medusa as they pulled at her with all their might. Medea also attacked Lev with an extremely powerful spell which caused him to let go of Olga which they used to pull her to them.

"Olga!" Felix said as he grabbed her when she reached him.

Olga didn't say anything and hugged Felix scared as she trembled in his arms and cried on his chest as he rubbed her back soothingly. Lev glared at him when he saw that but was then interrupted by the cave starting to collapse which caused him to click his tongue.

"So this is all that it can take huh. Had that damned Saber just used the greater grail for her wish instead of trying to prolong this singularity then none of this would've happened." Lev said with disdain as he looked at Chaldea.

Felix glared at the man as he hugged Olga tenderly as he was surrounded by Mash, Medusa and Medea who all glared at Lev with their weapons drawn.

"Don't be content just because you have won against me once. You will wish that you had died in the explosion. But until the time I meet you again, try and struggle all you can." Lev said before he vanished away.

The cave started to shake more as the group tried to stand still.

"Roman! Get us back right now!" Felix shouted as he held onto Olga.

"The cave is too unstable! I don't know if it'll work!" Roman said as he worked in the command centre.

"Just do it! We can't stay here any longer!" Felix shouted as he grabbed ahold of Mash's hand.

"Alright. Just think about Chaldea and don't think about anything else. I'm starting!" Roman said to them seriously.

The ground started to break as the five of them started to be enveloped in light though the ground opened as they fell down but halfway through they disappeared from there as the cave collapsed in on itself.
