11 Chapter 11 - A Surprise
Artoria flared her mana and pushed Medusa back but she was hit by powerful spells by Medea sending the King back a bit as she skid to a stop. She was then rained by bullets courtesy of Felix who infused them with mana and also used reinforcement on them and shot them.
"Annoying." Artoria said as she looked at the bullets impassively.
She raised her right hand and stopped the bullets but they exploded in red which surprised her a bit. This also surprised the rest of the people there as they were surprised.
"Gandr!" Olga said shocked.
"What?! What happened?" Roman asked from the bracelet on Felix's wrist.
"Master Felix had used the Gandr spell on the bullets which he had used to attack." Mash said to him in shock.
"What!?" Roman said shocked.
"How did you do that?" Olga asked shocked at how he had done that.
"I just copied you." Felix said to her as he loaded both guns and shot Artoria again.
This time she wreathed her sword in mana and swung it destroying the bullets but that gave the chance for Medusa to appear behind her as she attacked but the swordsman turned and blocked her leaving her open to Medea's magic which hit her, though the damage was reduced to an extent due to Artoria's magic defence. But she was also hit by the Gandr bullets that Felix shot at her.
"Did you teach him that spell?" Roman asked Olga.
"I showed him how to when he asked me but I didn't think he would learn to be able to use them so quickly." Olga said shocked.
"Enough." Artoria declared as her mana flared and a pillar of red and black energy appeared from her as Chaldea's members eyes widened.
"Behind Mash now!" Felix shouted as Medusa and Medea immediately ran back and stood behind Mash.
"Excalibur Morgan!" Artoria Alter attacked with her NP as it destroyed the ground and hit Mash's shield.
"Hang on Mash!" Felix shouted as he gave more mana to her by placing his hand on her left shoulder.
"Hang on girl." Medea said as she also used protection spells to block the attack.
"So powerful." Olga said shocked as she saw the destruction brought by the kings attack.
"Remember what Cu said to you Mash!" Felix said to Mash as she remembered the conversation that she had with Cu.
Flashback
"Listen up missy, a Servants NP is something innate like a talent. It doesn't matter if you know its name or not as it's a part of what makes a Servant. As long as you are able to feel the need and desire to use it then it will respond to your wishes. Think about why you want to use your NP. Not for the sake of invoking it, but instead for the sake of protecting your Master." Cu said to her seriously as they had decided to rest a bit.
"I see." Mash said with a nod.
"Our Noble Phantasms activate in response to our desires so or when our lives are in danger. In the end, it's up to the Servant how they are able to use their Noble Phantasms." Medea said to her as well.
"We can only give you advice. Whether you will be able to use your Noble Phantasm or not depends completely upon you." Medusa said to her.
"Thank you for the advice." Mash said to them with a small bow.
Flashback End
'I have to activate it. No matter what! I have to protect Master and everyone!' Mash thought to herself as she grit her teeth.
"Haaaaaahhhhhh!" Mash screamed out as she felt a connection.
Her shield lit up and then a wall made of mana appeared in front of her which blocked the attack and sent it back to Artoria. The King saw the attack coming and immediately jumped out of the way as she landed on the ground and looked at her.
"It would seem that you do have the will to use that shield after all. But if you think that I will be defeated so easily then you're mistaken." Artoria Alter said as she charged up another attack.
"Rider! Use your eyes!" Felix said to her as she took off her blindfold and opened her eyes as they glowed.
Artoria Alter looked at the armor on her right arm as she saw some of it becoming stone as she narrowed her eyes at it. Then her arms were tied by chains from Medusa before said Servant shot towards her with great speeds and gave a kick to her sending her back.
"Medea, attack her. We can't let her use Excalibur again." Felix said to the Caster as she nodded.
"You don't have to tell me twice." Medea said as she flew up and attacked her.
"Director. I don't know what kind of spells you have but we have to make sure that she isn't able to gather enough mana to use her Noble Phantasm." Felix said to her as she nodded to him even though she was quite nervous.
'How is he so calm?' Olga thought to herself a bit frustrated.
'Focus Felix focus. Think of this like a game, otherwise I will be overcome by fear.' Felix thought to himself as he loaded his guns.
Meanwhile Artoria is exchanging blows with Medusa as the Rider Servant is holding well with her two weapons and the chains. And even if the Saber Servant was able to push her away, she would be bombarded with magic by Medea. It also didn't help that her body was slowly being turned to stone due to Medusa using her eyes on her.
She blocked an overhead axe kicked by Medusa as the ground cracked under the two as she pushed her away, then flared her mana and swung her sword destroying the attacks from Medea.
'These bullets are getting annoying.' Artoria thought to herself as she destroyed the bullets.
Meanwhile Felix rained all of his bullets at her until he emptied the clip. He clicked his tongue as he had used the last of his bullets on her and now he is left with only the guns.
"We have to defeat her fast. Mash, keep your eyes on the Saber and be ready to block her attack. Leave the fight to Medusa and Medea." Olga said to Mash as she nodded nervously.
"That's enough!" Artoria roared out as huge amount of mana appeared around her sending Medusa flying back and destroying the magic attacks of Medea.
Felix's eyes widened when he saw it as he knew that she will attack using her Noble Phantasm at this rate.
'She has to be stopped!' Felix thought to himself as he reinforced his guns.
He then remembered how Medusa had attacked and then went into the same position as he reinforced his own body.
"What!?" Olga said shocked as she saw him.
Then he shot forward and brought the two guns down on Artoria who blocked it but then he started to attack her relentlessly as her eyes widened. The eyes of the rest widened as well when they saw what he is doing.
"Those are my moves." Medusa said surprised.
'He's completely replicating her moves?' Medea thought to herself shocked.
"Senpai..." Mash said shocked.
"What the hell is wrong with this guy?!" Olga shouted in frustration when she saw it.
Meanwhile Felix kept on attacking her as he had just realised what he is doing.
'Shit! Why did I do that? My adrenaline caused me to act before I could think!' Felix thought to himself as he reinforced his body more and kept on blocking her strikes.
'He's fully copying that pink haired Servants movements.' Artoria thought to herself as she attacked him.
She then flared her aura and sent him back but he immediately used his circuits to scan the two guns and then changed their appearance into that of the same weapons used by Medusa as he made chains as well which he used to latch onto Artoria and pulled and rocketed to her as he kicked her on her stomach sending her skidding back a bit as he jumped back.
Though he immediately made the two weapons into a longsword which he used to block Artoria's attack as his muscles screamed at him due to the exertion he is putting them through. But the adrenaline and sense of fear is helping him to cope with it as he grit his teeth.
Then she attacked and he started to block her hits, what was most surprising to the Saber Servant was the fact that he is using her moves to block her attacks.
'It's like I am fighting myself!' Artoria Alter thought to herself in shock and surprise.
'I can't keep this up!' Felix thought to himself as he blocked her attacks.
But fortunately for him, help appeared in the form of Medea who attacked Artoria using her spells and using her magic to lift him into the air and placing him on the ground beside Mash and Olga.
"You're too reckless Felix." Medea said to him as she landed near him.
"Sorry. My body acted on its own when I saw that she was about to attack. Thanks for the help though." Felix said before collapsing on the ground as he sat on the floor and held himself up using his arms.
"You're insane. You're even more crazy than most mages." Olga said as she looked at him.
"Guess I am. Where's Rider?" Felix asked her as he panted.
His answer came in the form of Rider slamming near him as she rolled on the ground for a few seconds before regaining her balance and standing on the ground as she glared at Artoria. Artoria meanwhile raised her sword as mana surged from it as she activated her Noble Phantasm.
"Get behind me!" Mash shouted as she got ready with her shield.
The others didn't need to hear anything else as they went behind Mash as she activated her Noble Phantasm again as she grit her teeth and blocked the attack again as the ground around them was destroyed by the attack.
"I'll be using my Noble Phantasm now. This is my chance." Medusa said as she placed her hands on the ground.
Mana surged around her as a magic circle made of her own blood appeared in front of her. Then a Pegasus slowly appeared from it as she sat on it while holding its reins while the four of them looked at the horse stunned.
"Take this, Bellerophon!" Medusa shouted as she activated her Noble Phantasm.
The Pegasus neighed and flew in a streak of white light at Artoria as the king raised her sword to intercept her. But Medusa was able to dodge it while Medea distracted the King using her magic which allowed Medusa to hit Artoria causing an explosion inside the cave of great magnitudes as dust was kicked up due to it as the group raised their arms to cover their faces.
'Damn. That's a very powerful attack.' Felix thought to himself as he covered his face.
