Chapter 3: Enlightened

'HOLY S***! THIS ISN'T EARTH.'

After six whole months, our MC could finally understand this language somewhat. And he finally pieced together his new mother's conversations. Whenever Iza talks about her own mana, Isaac would get confused, because what is mana? That's not even a real thing, At least there was no such thing on earth.

'Abandon all biology knowledge! Forget chemistry!! Actually, let's just throw the whole science thing into the trash can!!!'

Imagine someone saying, "Oh Shoot, I used too much {blank} while cooking!" or "Give me some time, I need to restore my {blank}". What are the chances for you to guess that word is mana? it was just unreal.

Following the same process, Isaac also learned something from his new father as well.

'Aura that comes from a knight, and mana associated with mages. My mother's a mage and father's a knight. Classic, lol.'

Even so, the level of Isaac's excitement is through the roof. He thought his rebirth was gonna be on earth. Actually, he had mixed emotions. He planned to grow up and visit his sister who was still alive, but it seems he'll never meet her again.

'Oh well, she was annoying anyways.'

Isaac wanted to feel this magical power, or whatnot. In the novels he read, it always seems so easy. Like just feeling the environment or something. Maybe even stored somewhere in your heart or abdomen.

'So where is it? How is this gonna work?'

Just like everyone else, he wants to learn more about this new world. Moreover, Isaac wants to get a head start as well. I mean, think about how bada** he would be, even if it's in the early years. He would be overpowered.

Just dreaming of something like that makes him drool. However, reality was different. It didn't work. He didn't know how to activate it or anything. Disappointed once again, he starts thinking.

'At Least I'm still ahead of people, I think. I have the power to form such mature thoughts. lol… but seriously, I have the knowledge from my past life. Unless the newborns in the world are all insanely smart, I shouldn't have a problem right?'

He needed knowledge ASAP. But for now, there was another problem. He was growing too big! Isaac can now move his legs ever so slightly. He might've trolled his mother a little by kicking his legs once in a while, and his mother had to endure such pain. But he couldn't help it, really. It was getting super cramped in here.

Isaac is concerned that something might happen while Iza is giving birth because of his insane growth rate. Worst case, his head gets stuck and he dies along with his mom. That didn't sound good at all. And so, Isaac is trying to prepare for the worst, but what could he possibly do?

'Phew, calm down, I was a doctor before. Remember the steps… think from the other side.'

It might not seem like it, but Isaac has been meditating and keeping his calm, and being patient multiple times to the point where he'll get into a peaceful state of mind the moment he wishes to meditate. It could even be called a skill.

Along with the knowledge he gained, he also found out that he had a big brother. Probably multiple years older than he was. And from the looks of it, they were commoners living on a remote farm for some reason. This family didn't sound too poor, maybe like an average family. But Isaac was sure he wasn't transported in some rich noble families, which was a good thing. He didn't want to stand out.

OOOOO

Two months passed

"Hnngg… Hahh… hURGHh" Iza was feeling extreme pain at this moment. It definitely seems like she's about to give birth. At this point, she was trying to endure until Brutus brought help.

Meanwhile, the father was extremely nervous and worried, running back with two priests. Upon arriving, the priests quickly prepared. One started chanting while the other grabbed the necessary tools. Brutus carried his wife into the room and came back out while the two priests quickly went in and closed the door.

This had happened once before, but Brutus was still not used to this amount of stress. He has a feeling that something is different this time.

What is this unsettling feeling?

~ISAAC's POV~

YOU CAN NEVER comprehend the pain I'm going through right now.

And you DON'T understand how hard it is for me to endure and not cry as loud as possible right now.

This… This is one of the worst feelings I've ever experience, d*mn. I mean, I was cozy a second ago. Now I'm being pulled by some invisible force. Btw, I'm halfway out, for anyone wondering. I'm cold. I'm SO cold. What did I do to deserve this?

Just then, I heard one priest say, "M-ma'am, please push just a little more…!"

Bruh. I knew this was gonna happen. My head is stuck, I actually can't breathe. I'm gonna die here. Wasn't there any type of magic that could help with this?? I know I'm complaining, but I'm dying here.

Fear not, It's time to execute plan A.

Soon, I started transferring my screaming energy into my tiny arms and legs, swinging it as hard as I could. Spoiler alert! It didn't work. I'm about to faint and possibly die. Goodbye cruel world…

… NO!

I'm not dying today! Execute plan B!!

I mustered all my strength ever and struggled, slowly moving back inside my mother. I could hear her moaning in pain and agony. Catching my breath, I knew it's all or nothing. I collected my arms and pushed the inside with literally everything I have. And suddenly…

*POP*

I got out. I actually don't even know, maybe newborn strength is tripled here compared to earth. Wait, that's not important. I'm still in pain. CUT THE CORD! WHY IS IT STILL CONNECTED!! CUT THE CORD!!!!!!

"WAHHHHHhhhhh…" I cried, before slowly falling unconscious.

After closing the door, the priests got to work. One priest felt the baby's tiny leg and took a hold of it. The other used a spell which helped the mother push the baby out easier. Everything was going smoothly, but five minutes later, the baby got stuck.

'Oh no, this can't be…' one priest thought while glancing at the other. The other priest looked back and both started to sweat. They both knew this was the worst outcome everyone had always prayed not to happen. The reason was because in this world, they haven't found a way to solve this kind of problem. That said, the chances of surviving this case was close to none.

They could only hope enough force could pull the baby outta there. Feeling despair, one doctor tried to calm down and said, "M-ma'am, please push just a little more…!".

Right now, both priests understood that there was nothing they could do. Waiting and hoping for the best, they tried to focus with every bit of concentration. Soon, they were losing hope. It's been a minute and nothing much happened except that both the mother and the baby were both dying.

Just then, to their surprise, the baby started wiggling himself and swam back, right in front of their eyes. where babies are supposed to be able to do this? Iza couldn't keep up and fell conscious without warning.

Nobody in the room could understand what was currently happening. Not quite done yet, Isaac pushed himself out with all the energy he had left. Coincidentally, the priests were rubbing their eyes, checking if they were seeing right.

*POP*

The priest stopped rubbing and quickly looked back at where the sound came from. And there it is, a baby out of nowhere. Fully outside meeting the real world for the first time, though still attached to his mother.

The priest was stunned, they didn't even notice how long their jaws had been dropping.

Silence pursued…

"WAHHHHHhhhhh…" The baby cried, and soon fell asleep. The priests quickly snapped out of it and became serious, immediately getting back to work.
