"Is there a solution?"
Ryan looked at the doctor.
It was hard to reconcile her serious demeanor now with the flirtatious woman of a few moments ago.
It was as if everything before had been a figment of his imagination.
Were women always so fickle?
"The specific solution will take time to study, but for now, the only effective method is to bathe frequently."
"Is it that simple?"
What kind of treatment was this? Could bathing really solve his problem?
Ryan was skeptical, but the doctor sitting across from him nodded.
"It's the simplest solution," she said.
The doctor shifted her position, crossing one leg over the other.
Her long, shapely legs were pressed together like two smooth, snow-white pythons, accentuated by her black high heels with red soles.
Her cold expression, paired with bright red lipstick and an air of sensuality, exuded an almost natural allure.
"Every human being secretes hormones that contribute to their unique physiological scent, often referred to as body odor, or in professional terms, pheromones or external hormones," she explained.
"These pheromones can trigger reactions in the human brain that cause sexual attraction or impulses in the opposite sex."
"Body odor comes primarily from sweat. It becomes noticeable when the sweat evaporates, releasing its scent."
"Therefore, frequent bathing can dilute the pheromones you emit. It won't eliminate their effect completely, but it will reduce their range. However, anyone in close proximity to you will still be affected."
Ryan nodded slowly and began to understand.
In other words, the reason women were so attracted to him was because of the overwhelming hormones he exuded.
If he could mask his scent, he could reduce the effect.
"I need to conduct further research on your condition, so I may need your cooperation in the future. Please give me your contact information and address."
"My name is Liang Shiqin."
Liang Shiqin?
It didn't sound like the name of an American woman.
A Chinese woman?
Ryan gave her a curious look. No wonder she looked so familiar - she was a compatriot.
Even though they were from different worlds, it still gave him a sense of connection.
After giving her his contact information, Ryan left.
---
"Postpone all my afternoon appointments until tomorrow," Liang Shiqin instructed her assistant over the phone.
In addition to being a doctor, she was also one of the major shareholders of the private hospital.
Treating patients was just a hobby for her.
After rearranging her schedule, Liang Shiqin entered the lounge adjacent to her office.
Standing in front of the full-length mirror, she slowly removed her white coat and clothes, revealing only her intricate, hollow-patterned lingerie.
Her flawless reflection in the mirror was enough to make even other women envious.
Yet her face remained calm and emotionless, her eyes devoid of excitement - as if she were inspecting meat in a supermarket.
She glanced down at her chest and lightly supported the weight with her hands.
"Why do men like this?" she muttered.
It was just a mass of useless fat.
Every man who saw her couldn't take his eyes off it.
In the 20 minutes she had talked to Ryan, his gaze had lingered on her body for at least 15 of them.
Although she didn't fully understand why men were so fixated on such things, she knew how to use it to her advantage.
She picked up her phone and made a call.
"Honey, what's going on? How did you find the time to call me all of a sudden?"
A woman's soft voice came through the receiver, though there was a faint rustling sound in the background.
A man's voice interrupted. "Who is this?"
"Don't worry about it, just carry on," the woman said, clearly distracted.
Undeterred, Liang Shiqin replied, "Today, I met a man who made me feel..."
"Wait, what?"
The woman's tone changed dramatically.
There was a pause, followed by the sound of clothing being adjusted, and her voice became more serious.
"How is this possible? Your emotional indifference couldn't even be treated by the best doctors in the Country. How could you feel anything for a man?"
Liang Shiqin remained calm.
"Maybe his situation is unique," she said.
She briefly explained Ryan's condition, then continued, "When I deliberately approached him, I felt something... strange."
"Interesting," mused the woman on the other end. "This is such a rare case. I'd like to meet him someday."
Her tone became serious again.
"Your condition is serious. If this man can arouse feelings in you, I suggest that you maintain contact with him. Ideally, you should try to develop a deeper relationship with him - perhaps even sleep with him. A real, heartfelt connection may be your only chance to regain normal emotions."
"Whether you pursue this is up to you, but it may be the only chance you'll ever have to heal."
"I understand."
Liang Shiqin ended the call and sat in silence, lost in thought.
Finally, she walked over to her wardrobe.
After sifting through its contents, she chose the sexiest outfit she owned and tried it on.
Looking at her reflection in the mirror, she muttered, "This should work, right?"
