Fairune!

The new VRMMORPG Fairune! was lauded as the next best game to hit the shelves, it would be a kind of second world for people. It was pushed as a world without limits, where you could be whoever you wanted. Liam is about to embark on his own adventure in the new world, fighting monsters and finishing quests all with the hope of being the greatest swordsman in the game. Follow Liam as he grows from a novice VRMMORPG player to someone renowned throughout the world. This is my first time writing anything so it will probably be poor at first but I will try to improve as I write the chapters. Enjoy

Goblin Elite (2)

The first thing Liam did was back out of the hallway as he knew he had no chance of winning in such an open area. While in the process an arrow was coming towards him, so he dropped to the floor. After avoiding the arrow he got back up instantly but one of the Goblin Warriors had already made their way to him.

'This is gonna be really tough' Liam didn't let his thoughts distract him, he managed to parry the sword that was coming towards him from the warrior before taking several more steps back.

The Goblin Shamans meanwhile were chanting at the back, both were preparing a fireball just in front of them. It took about half a second to finish before they launched it at the still back stepping Liam. Thankfully he was already out of the hallway. Because the shamans had to launch the fireballs over the others the downward approach if one of the hit the top of the entrance and missed, with the other fall just short of Liam thanks to his constant backward momentum.

Liam continued to pull the goblins into the hallway until he was satisfied, which was at a curve in the hallway. This would mean the 5 ranged attackers would have to move further in, given Liam time to take on the two ugly monsters in front of him first.

Liam swung his sword at the first Goblin warrior in front of him, before stepping to the left to avoid the other warrior coming from the other direction. As the game has no friendly fire, attacks and skills can still be blocked if your allies were in the way. With this is mind Liam used the first goblin to keep the other at bay as he kept circling and attacking and eventually he took the first one down.

Meanwhile the archers had finally made it to the corner aswell, so they began firing arrows at Liam, who then started to use the second warrior as a shield. Although goblins aren't the most intelligent creatures about they still knew to fire in an arc over their comrade, however this made it easier for Liam to dodge them.

With the second warrior down Liam rushed towards the archers, now that they had a clearer line of sight they could shoot at him more effectively. Once Liam was close enough and before the archers could move back, he used <Charge> to put him in front of the first archer and he proceeded to drop it's life quickly.

The 2 remaining archers screeched at losing there comrade before firing arrows at Liam before turning around and running back towards the hall, trying to put some distance between them and him. The two shamans were waiting at the entrance and began chanting another fireball each.

The fireballs made their way down the corridor towards Liam who had plenty of time to move to the side and then continue towards the hall entrance. Liam got there fast, catching up with one of the fleeing archers and went to town on the poor fellow before dodging another arrow from it's fleeing buddy.

While this was going on the Goblin Elite just stayed seated and watched on with a cold expression, but it's left hand was reaching over to the large machete that was sat up against the side of his skull throne. He was getting ready to join the fray.

Liam didn't know this as he was not paying attention to the elite currently as he had just finished off the last archer. His skill was also off cool down so he got closer to one of the shamans before activating it. The shaman was the definition of a glass cannon as it dropped with seconds of Liam getting close. Unfortunately he took his eye off the second shaman and took a hit from it's fireball spell.

"Shit" Liam cursed himself for a second before concentrating on the last goblin other than the unmoving one, however it seems that Grezom could not wait to tear him too pieces any longer. So with a massive bellow, the goblin jumped from his throne and charged at Liam with more speed than his size would suggest.

Cursing under his breath again, Liam eyed the charging brute and watched as it swung the massive machete from left to right hoping to bisect Liam in two. The speed of the swing was terrifying but Liam kept his cool and dropped to the floor and rolled to safety.

Grezom roared in rage at missing it's target before pulling the machete back and bringing the weapon in a downward swing towards the still rolling Liam. The attack missed by a hairs breath but the ground had a chunk taken out of it, showing off Grezom's power.

Liam started sweating bullets seeing that, but didn't lose focus as he narrowly dodged another fireball.

"I need to take out the last shaman before fighting him" Liam made up his mind and rushed towards the shaman who was chanting a new spell
