Chapter 32 Buying Time

"So what is this I hear about a war?" Luo Feng asked as all the top personnel of the sect had gathered inside the main hall. "Its just as it sounds, Endless Hell Sect and the Royal Family have declared war on us." Qin Mei explained as the Elder's expressions fell.

"How did this begin?" One of the Elders asked with a nervous expression. "....They initiated conflict with my son and I when we had gone to visit Long Tian's Ancestral grave." Qin Mei explained, hearing this the Elder nodded.

"But who sparked the war, was it their intention to begin with?" Another Elder asked. "It-..." Qin Mei tried to say when Long Lei cut in. "Look I know you all like your politics and shit, but at this point we have to prepare for a fight. The only thing at this point is to appoint a new Temporary Sect Leader." Long Lei declared.

Hearing this some Sect Elders weren't too pleased, but they all just sucked it up and nodded. He wasn't wrong after all they were wasting precious time which could be used in preparation of the coming battle.

"In that case, I suggest that Luo Feng takes up the position of Temporary Sect Leader." Long Lei announced. 'He has highest seniority apart from the other Supreme Elder, and I am on good terms with him. Apart from that even though mother might know that father is alive right now, she isn't in the best state of mind.' Long Lei mused as everyone else in the hall agreed.

"Since you all think I am worthy then I won't refuse, tell the disciples to get ready to attack, if we strike first we may come out victorious." Luo Feng declared as all the Elders nodded. "Just a second." Long Lei said, hearing this they all stopped.

None of them really took him that seriously, but out of respect for Long Tian they listened to him. "There's no need to attack at all, at least not for now." Long Lei stated as they all looked at him in confusion.

"What do you mean?" Luo Feng asked, even he was growing weary of Long Lei's antics. "Well lets say we kidnapped the little princess, how would the Palace react?" Long Lei replied with a devilish expression.

When Long Lei said this they were stunned, but how could he complete such a task. "I know what you're thinking, give me a minute." Long Lei stated before disappearing from his current position, leaving only a kunai behind.

His view then changed from that of the main hall to the princess' bedroom. Currently the Princess was playing in the garden right outside her room. 'Well I better take this pill, and slip you right under the bed.' Long Lei thought as he swiftly moved the box under the Princess' mattress.

After that he creeped out of the Princess' bedroom and towards her. Right now she was playing in the garden while accompanied by a palace maid "Intruder!" The maid suddenly said as she turned around, but all she saw was a small blonde haired child.

"Puk!"

Before she could process this, she was hit in the back of the neck knocked out. "Y-You what are you doing here?" The Princess asked in fear. Long Lei didn't bother to reply though, before tapping her hand, and teleporting all the way back to the main hall.

It was needless to say but his qi reserves were almost exhausted at this point. "How in the...." One of the Elders said in shock as they witnessed Long Lei's reappearance along with the little Princess.

"W-Where am I, where did you take me?" The Princess said in fear as she inspected the Elders in front of her. "So now do you believe me?" Long Lei asked before walking forward heading for the exit.

Immediately the Elders parted so that Long Lei could pass through. "Oh and for the record, keep her hostage but don't treat her too badly, she is after all only 3 years old." He said before exiting the main hall, leaving all the Elders even his mother in shock.

A few minutes later he arrived back at his room. These past few days had been very eventful and even Long Lei had to prepare himself. Currently his clones were working on manufacturing more puppets, and so far they had completed 3 more.

'If I can make around 10, if I were to engage in battle it would be like having 10 extra shields to absorb some blows.' Long Lei thought before storing the new puppets.

He then dispelled all his current shadow clones and then began to meditate on his bed. It was time to continue his cultivation.
