Chapter 12- Disappointment and Inner Thought

"Dragon God, did we do anything wrong to have displeased you?" The first to ask a question is Marduk, the Earth Dragon King. His mountainous body is larger than any behemoth in existence. When he tried walking on his two feet, his height would reach the heavens so that everyone could see his body.

"Hm, hmm. No, no. As a matter of fact, I am very pleased with your progress. The progress of the Dragons. Your mind didn't bloat out because of the authority I have all given you. You adhere to my words and created progress in mere 3,000 years." Ragnarok carefreely drank his tea while saying it to them.

"Although I needed to wake up 2,000 years early because my siblings have seen that they have been forgotten by their creation. But guess why?" He added, looking at them mischievously.

The Four Dragon Kings are not stupid, they have been gifted with extreme intelligence, the will to grow and progress no matter the years and the fortune of the world. They even arrive at the answer when he said, "I needed to wake 2,000 years early."

"We are ashamed, Dragon God, please punish us." The four of them bow extremely quickly, if the table is not made by Ragnarok, they will split it open.

"Raise your heads and that is alright. I have seen your dedication and intelligence. But lower the rate at which you are helping them. My siblings will walk down the world." Ragnarok said, making them look at him with a baffled look. 'What do you mean walking down the world?' Even Arcia, the Green Dragon perks up her pointy ears.

"Because they needed it to be that way. They will never grow if they think they are a high and mighty existence ruling a world. We are but a mere beings, who knows how many gods out there dying in this expanse." He added that makes their jaw drop even more. But they understood what he wanted to say; 'Don't slack off at the development because there will come a time when you can see the whole expanse.'

"We will obey the Dragon God." They unisonly shouted again.

"Hm, in ten thousand years at most, you can ascend to become new gods. Albeit too weak compared to us but still gods. Do your best." Ragnarok declared to them as he happily enjoyed drinking tea.

If any alcohol makes any mortal or gods drunk then a tea will wake any beings in existence. The tea the Green Dragon has prepared has been aged especially by Ragnarok as he wanted new hobbies and this piqued his interest. Making tea.

The Four Dragon Kings clearly heard his words but they all became deaf for a second. The green dragon, having been shaken by all the fuss Ragnarok was telling, has not yet been accustomed to it. She wanted to lie down and process it but she couldn't.

"Gods? Us?" Marduk asks, although hidden, ecstasy has been etched on his face. Even the Four Dragon Kings can't hide that delight.

Being a God, they can have their own authorities. Although level lower than Primordial Gods, they are still gods. With powers that can decide the life and death of mortals.

"Yup, gods. I will not guide you on how to become one but when the time is ripe, you will naturally know how." Being enigmatic is good sometimes because relying on how to become stronger will only make someone become dependent. They are gifted with many things and so the Dragon God was assured that they will become gods in no time at all.

"We would not disappoint the Dragon God." They bowed again. Ragnarok sighed as there was no conversation in this meeting. They are too afraid to speak and there are no suggestions. This is the case for him. He wanted to have some fun but they are too rigid and hard to break.

"And that is the end for this meeting. You are all boring. This is the first time I become disappointed in my creation. The second time you come here, you should have a proper conversation with me." Ragnarok said as he stood up to end the meeting. The Four Dragon Kings on the other hand have been sweating profusely and anxiously waiting to come down.

"Well, I will all bless you and all the Dragons in existence, my dear creation. He added as they vanished in the air.

Now then, Arcia, is it?" Ragnarok then looked at the Green Dragon who looked like a Green haired elf. She was panicking now that the Four Dragon Kings are gone. She thought her endless torture will end but she was wrong. Although she was not feeling the fear but an anxious look because disappointing the Dragon God is synonymous for betraying the Dragon Race and the gracious holiness of Dragon God.

"Am I that scary?" He added, looking at her playfully.

"N-no, the Dragon God is our creator so I will not fear you. It is just that my lonely self is trying to decipher why I am here." She said her honest thoughts. She was just a Green Dragon, living with her clan. She was the daughter of the First Life Dragon in existence so her life is nobler than the rest.

She meets some Elves where they become friends. She wanted to copy the looks of her friends so they can play without hindrance while also learning some herbs and plants that can be drunk. She was a natural prodigy at it. When she was just readying to make tea, she realized she was teleported here.

"Oh, nothing much. I just saw how you absorb the culture of Elves and even copy their body to transform. That is bravery and not conforming to the norms that have been given. Do you want to become my Saintess?" Ragnarok said. As for what she will do in the near future. He doesn't know, he just wants someone to call like that. A whim but he saw the girl and he thought 'Why not her?'

"Your Holiness, you are my creator. All that I belong to is yours but may I be too presumptuous to hear what my duty is if I become your Saintess?" Arcia said, a conviction formed in her eyes. She may anxiously and nervously talk but she is not as spineless as the Four Dragon Kings.

"Hm, now I like you better. Stay and grow like that and you shall find your path in life. You don't really need to do anything. I will just call you if I need some assistance like picking out my old scales, massaging my body, making me some tea and the likes. If you don't like it, then forget about it." Ragnarok smiled and looked at her. He can just fix himself if there is discomfort in his body although that is impossible. He only wanted to have his body return to Heaven. When he was getting older in his previous life, he wanted spa and massages. Relaxing is good sometimes when his body wakes up while his soul is trying to decipher his being or true self.

"I- I'll do it. I will become your Saintess." She replied without much thought. In this way, she will be higher than the Four Dragon Kings, her clan will become noble and sacred. Her place will become like a Holy Land.

"Good, a nice choice indeed. And because of that. I will give you this." He gave her a golden seed for tea making. Of course, even if she declines, he will still give this seed.

"This is for tea making, put it in your backyard and it will surely bloom." He added.

"Thank you for your generosity, Dragon God." She bowed her head. This is too much isn't it. This is her blessing for a lifetime. No, this is her blessing for eternity.

"Then until I called you again." He said as a golden light bloomed around her. And then vanish.

—-

They are amazing. I thought to myself as I saw the grandeur of the Dragon God. His glistening azure scales is what I believe to be the perfection a God should have. I have thought my truest form is the epitome until I have seen the image of Hemisha. She is the true goddess incarnate using that form. Lormond also had that kind of form but he was more of a darker side.

When I saw all their forms, I was filled with admiration for all of them. My truest form is a widened circular shape with countless eyes and a moth wings. Every mortal who saw it will have their minds broken and their will crumbling.

This timidity of mine is not acceptable because being a God means having the pride and mindset of a God but I have neither of those. Only the Dragon God has that kind of personality. He was the epitome of perfection. And so when he said that he wanted to bless one of my creations, happiness filled my heart. It may be my greatest achievement in this life of mine.

I have been filled with gratitude as the product of his blessing is more prominent. Gray scales and horns growing from her back, she has no wings but she can fly. All my creations followed her like she is their leader. She was the only reason for all the monsters I have created. Maybe it was one of the effects of Dragon God's blessing but I am truly grateful. She is my single thread why I am not even destroying them.

The monsters and abominations I have created wreak havoc in this World but all Gods didn't seem to care.

They even gave me thumbs up as the monsters become the opposite and the natural enemy of every species they have created. They are the opposite of me, they are prideful and arrogant creatures, unlike me. They don't care about the lives of people getting slaughtered everyday, but I do. I created them based on my own image and maybe that is what I have been all along. It scares me to no end. I may be the God governing Death and Chaos but guilt has been piling towards me, every single time that a life has been lost.

Dragon God may have read my mind. He said to me one day "I am baffled by yourself. You are the incarnation of Death and Chaos but you worry yourself towards life. Hemisha cared for the cycle of life and the bloom of all life in a bigger picture but you cared for every single being. You may not notice it but you are a masterpiece even I cannot fathom.

If somehow you have seen your path, people of all ages will worship you nonstop." The words he said to me that day became my inspiration. I don't know what path I should take but for now, I am piling up my guilt. I wanted to destroy what I have created but they are still needed.
