The courier was a woman, perhaps a few years older than him, with short vibrant red hair. She wore the standard uniform of the virtual market: a beige polo shirt that hugged her figure and a black athletic skirt.
Though her beauty didn't rival that of Jade or Amethyst, she had a pleasant face that was easy on the eyes. A nametag on her chest read "Freya" with the letters "VM" beneath it, along with the virtual market logo.
"Good evening." Freya greeted kindly as she met Yves at the door.
"I'm Freya from the virtual market. Are you Mr. Yves Morningstar? I've come to collect the materials you've listed for pickup."
"Could you please confirm your identity for me?"
Yves nodded, returning her smile with a polite one of his own. "Yes, that's me."
Freya's surprise was evident as she observed Yves retrieve his mobile phone from the storage space ring. She hadn't expected such a possession from someone living in a small apartment unit like Yves.
