Eating the leftovers of a war between Mindflayers and Demigods!
Through the archive of memories he had from the Demigods he ate, he realized that there was a massive amount of food floating in the middle of space. Apparently, the Gods had encountered Mindflayers which had also come to kill him, and both ended fighting one another.
There were way more Demigods than the ones he fought against, but they were all killed by the Mindflayers and the "mind gods" which were Demigod-level Mindflayers whose enlightenment in the power of the mind had reached divine levels.
