Chapter 14

    I looked outside and saw Catherine, Max and Axel coming out of Axel's car. My heart leapt with joy. When Catherine saw me, she ran, jumped on me and started to cry. "Amelia, I really missed you a lot. I even brought the stuffed rabbit you bought me. Look. I always begged brother Axel to take me to you but he always says he's busy and ends up postponing it. I was happy when he told me we where seeing you today." 

       I calmed her down and wiped her tears. My eyes were already watering and the tears were threatening to come out. "I missed you too Katie. Don't cry again or else I would cry even more. Do you know that there is someone who has been waiting for you?" 

      "Catherine!!!" Chris cried out and Catherine ran to give him a hug. "Chris!!! I missed you so much. Sorry I left without saying anything." Chris pulled away and held her hands. "It's okay, I am glad you came to visit." 

      The other kids also came and welcomed Catherine. Axel approached me "Sorry I came late. I had to deal with something before I came." Ares suddenly spoke. "Amelia what's going on here. You have met Catherine before? How does she know all this children. Explain." 

     Before he could say more, Catherine interfered. "Brother Ares!!! I didn't see you there. Are you a friend of Amelia?" Ares took Catherine's hand "How do you know her. Don't lie to me. Tell me."

      Catherine was hesitant. Ares hasn't known she had ran away from home yet. Before he could speak I grabbed Catherine and hid her at my back. Then I told him everything. "Ares please don't be angry at her. She only wanted to go out and she got lost." 

     Ares turned to look at Axel "Why didn't you tell me about this? And you even hurt Amelia. Are you crazy?" Axel leaned on a wall "First of all, I don't have to tell you everything and I only knew about it the day I went to get her. I thought she was kidnapped. I was already pissed that day as it is."

     Before they could continue thier argument any further, I interfered. "Enough you two. I know you two aren't in good terms but please, there are children here. This matter has already been taken care of so no need to bring it up again. Max, Blake, please knock some senses into your friends." 

     After saying that I carried Katie with me to continue practice. I knew those two were not on good terms but at least both of them care for Catherine. They should know better than fight in front of her. 

     The four sat down at a beach and watched Amelia and the children. Catherine also joined since she knew the dance moves. The four men jaw dropped as they watched little Katie dance. "Wow, when did your little sister ever learn to do that." Blake said looking really surprised. 

      "Yeah, I mean you guys never let her come this world. Amelia really is superb. She changed Catherine in just three weeks." Max added. 

     Ares and Axel just smiled and continued to looked at Amelia. When they were done. Catherine ran to Ares and Axel."Brother Axel, brother Ares. Please can I also compete in the competition?" Catherine was sure she was going to get rejected, so she had come up with many ways to convince them. But to her surprise, they agreed immediately and they didn't argue. 

      "Sure, you are pretty good already." Ares said. "If it will stop you from running away from home again, then no problem. I was really shocked to see you dance like that. I almost got an heart attack." Alex said jokingly. 

     Catherine chuckled and hugged her brothers. "Thank you so much. I love you both." Catherine let go and ran to Amelia and Chris to tell them the good news. 

      When it was running late, Amelia remember that she hasn't finished the assignment. If she goes home without it, then she would get in big trouble. Luckily, there was a cyber café nearby. Amelia went over to meet everyone one. 

      "You guys, I need to go to the cyber café. I need to finish the assignments given to our class." Axel suddenly remembered Caroline complaining about the assignment. She was terrible at the subject. "Oh, is it the chemistry assignment? Caroline hates that subject. She is looking for a tutor but she keeps turning everyone down because of one excuse or the other. She hasn't even been able to finish half of the assignment." 

      Amelia remembered Catherine mentioned that she has a sister named Caroline. Although we're in the same level and department, we are still in different classes so I have not seen her before. "Is she your other sister? I can help her with her assignment just for today. I am already doing my two cousins own already so it won't be a problem to add one more."

       Ares cut it. "Isn't it one of your cousins that tied and locked you up. Why would you help them after what they did to you. Are they bullying you again?" Axel also joined. "Rabbit do you really enjoy being bullied? You just let people treat you badly and then ignore it. You are really something." 

     I just shakes my head. They won't understand even if I tell them. "I am not being bullied. It's a long story but I can't tell you now. I will finish up the assignments today and give them to you on Monday." I quickly changed the topic. 

     "Why don't I wait until you finish the assignments. I don't think Catherine has had enough fun yet." He said looking at Catherine and Chris playing together. 

      I sighed. "Alright, I will get to work now." Ares insisted on tagging along. So three of us left Catherine with Max and Blake. 

      At the Cafe, I was totally concentrated because I couldn't make any mistake or else I would be beaten and I didn't want to give Caroline a wrong answers. I was feeling really dizzy but I shrugged it off. It's probably because I haven't eaten since morning. Actually I ate really little food yesterday, it is not even meant to be called a meal. 

     After an hour and a half, I was finally done. I gathered the assignments and put mine, Amber's and Scarlett's assignment in my bag and handed over Caroline's to Axel. When I was about to take a step, my head started to spin like crazy and I lost my balance. Luckily Axel caught me on time. 

     "Are you alright?" The two shouted at the same time. "I - I am alright, I just feel a little light headed." just then, there was a loud growl coming from my stomach. I was so embarrassed. I use my palms to cover my face. 

      Ares tried to hold his laughter but Axel made fun of me like crazy. "pttf, hahaha. Rabbit are you really that hungry? Your stomach is behaving like a real monster ready to devour anything at anytime." Axel went outside and I believed he had left us. 

     Aghh, I was too embarrassed to even fight back. Ares finally spoke. "There is a restaurant over there, we can find something to eat over there. I politely declined. "I am so sorry but I don't want to eat in a restaurant now, especially that one. There are too many people there and I hate crowds." 

         Ares was busy insisting I go there with him when Alex came in with three bags. "Here, I heard you like sweet dishes so I bought some for you and I know the children must be hungry as well so I bought extra." 

      I just smiled and nodded. 'I really don't get this man at all. Sometimes he is a asshole and another time he's completely different.' Ares was furious when he saw this. But he tried to maintain his cool. 

      The three got back to the dance studio. Axel and Amelia shared the food to the children. Ares left immediately with Blake saying they have important business to take care of. 

      "Amelia, I am sorry but we have to go. Something came up." Ares explained. "No problem, thanks for coming though. I really appreciate it." I replied. 

    They waved and drove off. I was eating with the children when I saw Axel staring at me. "Aren't you going to eat anything?" I asked. "I don't eat sweet dishes." Max popped out of nowhere and took part of the food I had left for Axel. "He might not like it but I do." Then Max left. I shook my head in dismay. 

     "You guys fight all the time but you have so much in common except for your sense of humor." Axel smiled. "What do you mean about the sense of humor?"

      I sighed. Isn't it obvious already. "Well Ares is a really gentle, mature and polite guy while you are arrogant, reckless and very impolite but you also have a better side. You help people when they need it and that's really nice of you." 

      Axel chuckled. "At first, you stabbed me with your words but I didn't know you see me that way. Anyways, it's getting late. Let me drop you off." 

       I immediately refused and told him I could manage. Axel, Max and Catherine went after that and I also went home immediately. 

        When I got home, I waited for Amber and Scarlett, then I gave them their assignment. Then after finishing all the chores I went straight to bed and slept off.
