Chapter sixteen

" and that's the end of the class" the history teacher told them before students left.

" So boring" Ariana said aloud.

" I know right?" That was Cassandra.

" Doesn't the professor know that we're in the 21st century? I can't help but sleep the class away" Ariana admitted packing her books.

" Hello girls" Max walked in giving Ariana a little kiss on the forehead.

" Hi" they both replied.

" Wanna grab some snacks" he asked.

" We  don't have snacks in the school. It's already been stolen and besides, I've gotta find the lunch thief" Ariana said.

" Hmmm"

" Raymond Styles, Ariana Wilson, report to the principals office" Mr Shawn said.

THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE,

" Good morning sir" Ariana greeted with a smile on her face.

" Good morning. I'll like to know if you're making progress with the ongoing case of the lunch thief." That was Mr Shawn.

" Not yet sir, the thing is; I need to question some students but I don't that right" Ariana said.

" Is that it?" That was Mr Shawn.

" For now" she replied.

" Raymond?" He asked turning his gaze to Ray.

" I don't need anything. I'll handle it myself" Raymond said running his hands through his hair.

" What a snitch" Ariana thought to herself.

" What do you mean by you don't need anything" Mr Shawn was surprised.

" Anyone would be happy to be interrogated by me so I've got it under control" Raymond said.

" Good. Ariana, you have my permission to interrogate anyone in this school" Mr Shawn said after signing a piece of paper and handing it to Ariana.

" Thank you sir. I'll get going" Ariana said and left.

 As for Mr arrogant, he didn't utter a single word. He just left.

" Hi" Beatrice stopped Raymond.

" Are you stalking me" Raymond asked irritated.

" no. I just came to say hi" Beatrice said.

" Well you said it" Raymond said and left.

" I  can't stop loving you Ray. The more you push me away, the more I'll love you" Beatrice soliloquised playing with her hair.

" Hi, I'll like to ask you some questions" Ariana said to a student.

" Sure what" the student said uninterested.

" As at 11: 15 yesterday" Ariana asked.

" I was at the gym." The student replied.

Ariana wrote her answer down and proceeded to asking other students.

" Thanks" Ariana told her and left.

On Ariana's way to the principal's office, she bumped into a senior.

" Sorry " she told him.

" " It's okay." He told her and left nervously.

" Strange" Ariana thought before going to the principal's office.

" Hi sir" Ariana greeted as she walked into the office.

" good" the principal said as he dropped his pen.

" Hi" Raymond said as he walked in.

" So how have you being making progress?" Mr Shawn asked.

" Here sir. I have asked quite a lot of students questions but I've gotten nothing" Ariana told the principal.

" Raymond?" He asked turning his gaze to Ray.

" Nothing yet" Ray said

" So, I'm eager to know how you're both working together." That was Mr Shawn.

" We're not" Ray said.

" listen, you're supposed to be working hand in hand. If I'm to find out that you're not not working together, then you'll be suspended. You can leave now" he told them and they left.
