Encounter: The Rising of Luna

Eratonium, the most precious and powerful stone of the whole realm finally chooses its owner, a young eighteen-year-old werewolf girl who doesn't know anything about it and the evil world revolving around her. She has to find her rightful mate on her own and crack the mystery of her pack's destruction and her parent's disappearance. This is the story of her journey from being the weakest to the strongest Luna, her journey of falling, betrayals finding her rightful mate, and being able to protect the werewolf world. Disclaimer: This is a werewolf story but also has a lot of magic involved in it. As this is fantasy story, I would request readers not to search for facts. It's solely the imagination of my mind. Please don't forget to vote with your power stones cause it's an Eratonium for me and comment on the story. That's a motivation. Have a nice reading. Thank you!!!

Tell the truth or save myself

Chapter 4

Kimberly's POV:

"Alpha…Alpha's here."

That is Archie's voice. I realize Beta Simon telling me to hide as much as possible from Alpha. I am told that this is a secret annex. How did he know about this place?

"You need to hide," Beta Simon's voice rings aloud in my head. I cannot sit and stand on myself. I look at him for help.

"Let me help you," he bends to carry me from the bed but…

It's late. It's too late.

"Don't look at him in his eyes," Beta Simon instructs. He closes my eyes with his palm. I don't understand why is he closing my eyes. It's the end after all.

I thought I could survive all of this and live perfectly after I leave this place but I don't think that is going to happen anymore.

"Beta Simon!" I hear the loud noise of screaming in the room. This isn't anyone's voice from the morning. This is someone else's. It's the voice of their Alpha.

"How dare you? How dare you bring someone without my notice? Do you even know what dangers you can bring in the pack?" he shouts with a terrifying voice from the door.

His voice isn't nice. It's rude. It's cruel. I can imagine a horrifying wolf with that voice who has no sympathy at all.

"It's not like that Alpha. She … She was hurt and she had no one. She is seriously injured so much that she needs to be treated right away," Simon tries to confront him with patience but suddenly I feel a hush of air passing through me. I hear the loud sound of someone falling hard on the ground before I can even comprehend and my eyes get flashes of light almost blinding.

I rotate my head towards the floor. I see a huge male figure over Simon on the floor.

"N-No…P-please," I speak. My voice is much louder than it was before. Alpha suddenly stops after hearing my voice. So, my voice was audible to him.

He stands up from his place and turns his body towards me. I don't look him in the eyes and instead, I keep on staring at his brown boots having no guts to look at him in his eyes. I see his steps pacing towards me slowly but then suddenly they change the direction and he turns back to Simon one more time.

"You were aware of what happened before. You knew what we had to go through Simon and still, you brought her in," he growls and walks back to me and throws the thin sheet of duvet from my body compelling me to frown and shudder with fear.

"Are you sure she was injured and doesn't want to harm my pack?" he scowls as he presses his fingers on my chin suddenly. I still don't have any guts to look at his eyes. This wolf is scary. My eyes are still closed but I can feel the infuriating aura he is giving to me right now. His warm and angry breaths hit my skin and his fingers pressing my skin like some iron needles are shaking the little heart I have inside me.

I had never encountered any brutish creature like him, never in my life nor I have heard such harsh dialogues and cruel actions from anyone. How can someone be so much unsympathetic?

"She cannot even look at me," he says as he digs his chin further into my skin. I moan in pain but I don't open my eyes to see him. Indeed, I am not able to see him at all. He doesn't know how terrified my heart is right now and how much my whole body is shaking with his presence.

"Tell me! Who sent you? Who?" he shouts with his stiffened voice on my face digging his fingers even more. I can feel his nails dug into my skin. Maybe they already are inside my skin.

"N-No one. I-I was lost in there. I-I lost my way and fell down the cliff," my voice shakes terribly.

"Lost in the forest?" he lets out a small mockery laugh completely making me realize that he doesn't believe me, not even a little bit.

"You want me to believe you? No werewolf wanders in the forest alone? Nobody. Werewolves are always with the pack. So, it's not believable that you were lost in there? Where is your originality? Who's your Alpha?" he growls one more time. This time, my chin pains like hell. I grab his hand and try to take it away from me but with the little energy I have, I can't. It just makes my condition even worse.

What should I say to him? Should I tell him about my parents? The calamity, my pack had to go through because of the stone?

Should I? But is he going to believe me? I don't think so and I cannot talk to him about the stone. I am instructed not to.

"I-I…," I cannot speak.

"Alpha, please listen to me. I was just going to keep her until she became fine. I was going to leave her in the same place once she was fine. She seems to have fallen from the cliff. I see no harm…Alpha…," Beta Simon tries to explain but he doesn't let him to. The Alpha raises his palm signaling him to stop his mouth.

"Don't speak a word," he says as he points his finger.

"You have committed treason Beta Simon and you knew the repercussions of the treason you have committed, don't you?" he warns.

"But Alpha…," Simon gets stopped one more time.

"As you have been my friend for a very long time and served this pack with so much sincerity, I am giving you a choice. Hand this girl over to me and let me take her and treat her in my way or give your life to save this no one girl. Remember, this girl will die and you will live but if you die, I won't guarantee that this girl is going to live," he says.

I am awestruck by his announcement. What the hell kind of announcement is that?

"No…No…You cannot do that. P-Please. You cannot punish him for saving me. I was already dying over there. Please take me instead of him. Don't let him die in place of me," I request with my eyes full of tears. I cannot let someone die instead of me. Not when someone's intention was so pure and wanted to save me and risked his whole life for it. I cannot be so much selfish just to save myself.

Life must be playing foul games with me. People get dragged from one situation to another maybe from good to bad, or maybe from bad to bad, or maybe from bad to good. But in my case, I am being dragged from one deathbed to another deathbed.

I can't look at any of them. I just sit there like a mourner.

"Take her," the Alpha orders.

A few of the werewolves get inside and grab my arms harshly. For someone who had fallen from the cliff, my body hurts like hell when they grab my arms.

"Hey! Be gentle, will you?" Beta Simon shouts and tries to walk towards me but Archie holds him from coming near to me. I just look down and watch their legs moving here and there.

I don't understand why he is trying to help me a lot and why he is caring about me while risking his long friendship with Alpha.

"She…She cannot walk. Please let her rest here for a few days and trust me, I will bring her to you once she is alright," Beta Simon requests.

"She has to die anyway," Alpha growls.

"But she cannot now. Did you forget your own rules that you are never going to hurt the weak ones or the ones who are never ready for the fight? Look at her, she cannot even walk properly. How can you let her inside the prison in that condition? Are you sure she will endanger our pack in that condition?" Beta Simon shouts.

I hear them without even looking at them. I am not aware of what is going to come in front of me soon. But I don't have any other choice than to accept the situation that has been coming to me right now.

"Simon…," Alpha pauses.

"One week. Just one week and I need you to hand her to me right away on the first ever hour of the eighth day. Respecting the rules my dad had formulated, I am giving her seven days to be treated, and on the eighth day, I am going to take her away from here. She is going to be treated the same as the other prisoners are treated from the eighth day. There will be no mercy for her. But if she plans to tell me who sent her, I will make sure, I will let her go but in which condition, I cannot tell," he concludes and walks away with his forces. That loud voice of his forces and his boots walking away from me makes me feel restless and relieved at the same moment.

I am sure those rules are extremely important or else he wouldn't have reconsidered about leaving me here to get treated. But what good is it?

I am going to die anyway. There is no way, I am going to tell him about the stone. So, what am I going to tell him after a week? How am I going to save myself?
