Warming up

Waking on a yellow sofa to the smell of food wafting in the room, I get up and grab my plant sat on the small table to my left. Heading in the direction of the smell I see a familiar set of glass doors, the kitchen area was here.

Heading in I see Lucien cooking in the kitchen with the same apron on, the pointy ear lady is sat on the right side chair closest to the kitchen beside her was the short man named Gurlet, the human man is sat on the left seat closest to the kitchen with the human female sitting next to him. However the other two chairs at the table surprised him, the only other person than Lucien here was me, meaning it was sat there for me.

Slowly approaching under the eyes of the 4 sitting at the table Gurlet speaks up, "Why tike you sure do like to nap a lot don't ya, Ha HA almost any time I see ya you are sleeping or about to fall asleep." 

I knew I had been sleeping a lot, but it was the first time since the dungeons I could just lay down and not feel like one wrong move would be my death.

Not responding to short man I approach the seat on the back end of the table with it's back facing the door, sitting down I sit my potted plant down on the table. Looking at Lucien in the kitchen I wait quietly for food to come.

Apparently the short man doesn't know how to stay quiet as he keeps talking even with no one responding, "ya know tike I'm a high B-ranker at only 38 that is far better than most, most men my age can only hit low C-ranking. I attended the Enhanced Being Academy at the age of fifteen, meaning I awakened at fifteen. I'm a cream of the crop, able to achieve High F-rank at fifteen as soon as I awakened meant my mental energy was larger than average I tell ye", water hit him in the face from the pitcher in the center.

"JAMES YOU BOINGING DONGO WHAT THE HELL YE BE DOING THAT FOR YA ASAHOLE." James the human man apparently does not take kindly to this false accusation.

"I am a fire manipulator I can't manipulate water as it goes directly against my element, the only one able to manipulate water here in any capacity is Lucien and he is a ice manipulator meaning it would not be a water ball but an ice spike hitting you if it was him." James responds.

"Who ye else can think it be if not one of us?" Gurlet asks. Silence resonates at the table as they contemplate which one was capable of it, I raise my hand a second later and watch as they all turned to look at me.

Bringing my hand back down to rest in front of me I make a small water ball in my hand, their faces all change to stunned disbelief except for the pointy ear woman.

"tike how old are ye?" the short man asks.

"11" I respond.

Silence was all that remained in the kitchen until Lucien came with food and a reprimand not to use energy at the table, "Young one we all agreed after one to many fights no energy at the table, since you are eating here with us you have to oblige by this agreement to." Sitting the food down in front of me he stops anyone from eating by raising his hand.

"Since we will be having someone new with us for the foreseeable future let everyone tell their names and position." Lucien says, "I'll start, my name is Lucien Null and I'm the second attacker and back up tank I use a spear and Ice energy." Lucien then turns to the pointy ear woman who speaks after him.

"My name is Maylen Tar and I'm main attacker I use a arming sword along with wind energy." Poi- I mean Maylen then turns to the short man.

"My name Gurlet tike and I'm main defense I use a war battle hammer and earth energy." Short man says, although I have known his name for a while I find him to annoying so I'll just keeping calling him short man.

Short man then turned to the human man, "My name is James Wenbeth I'm main backline attacker and secondary distractor I use a battle staff and am a fire energy user as I said earlier."

Without prompt the human girl spoke, "I'm Ella Washwen and I'm back line main distractor and secondary backline attacker, I use a short bow and my element is sound." I tilt my head at that, I have never heard of a sound element.

But Lucien helps clear it up somewhat, "she would actually be a vibration manipulator but she thinks it sounds dirty." Why would that sound dirty? I looked at Lucien questionably but get no reply. Now everyone was staring at me, I tilt my head in question. "Barmy we be waiting for your information tike."

Getting a smile from Lucien in agreement I speak, "Aadi, dagger, water, fire, earth." Silence followed my words as they process exactly what I meant.

Lucien looks at me and asks, "you are able to manipulate water, fire, and earth is what you are saying?" Nodding my head I look to see their reactions, all looked astonished at the fact I could manipulate three elements.

Lucien chuckles and says, "Don't just sit there staring at the young one, start eating or someone may eat what you want first."

Everyone starts digging in after that rolls, chicken, a salad and mashed potatoes are all consumed by the end of the hour. Lucien gets up and gets another food item out of the kitchen I have never seen before, it is brown and smells like chocolate.

Ella immediately dives for a slice but Lucien grabs her hand before she can, he then removes a slice and puts it on my plate, taking a bite it practically melts in my mouth in the following seconds I'm scrapping my plate clean. Hearing a chuckle I look up to see Lucien grinning from ear to ear as he motions around his mouth, confused I tilts my head.

Apparently that was the breaking point as Lucien broke down in laughter, a second later he got up grabbed the towel and wiped my face with it.

Showing the mess on the towel I feel my face flush red, others at the table also started to laugh shuffling my hair Lucien smiles at me and says, "stay as long as you need."

  Tears of joy poured silently down my face as I let out a true smile for the first time since I was trapped in that Dungeon.
