2 and a half years gone

It has been 6 months since I have come to this world and I have progressed to the same level as most 5 year old's in the knowledge point of view, unfortunately progress for learning will take another few years to catch up to standard but I can speak proper full sentences and know how to use all basic machines and money by myself. I also learned what plants could and could not be used for consumption as although similar some plants in my world that are fine are poisonous here, like the lemon looking one that will burn you alive from the inside out.

I also learned it is used in a potion to treat poising and stomach problems, while also learning the uses of other plants as well.

My progress in fighting has been slow but steady as I can now somewhat control the energy at a steady amount for about 30 minutes before I lose control. I am also now able to properly preform my martial arts forms without constant corrections or aid from Lucien, we will begin sparring once more to get me used to it while fighting to prevent me from falling back into my old form when doing so.

My twelfth birthday passed with another chocolate cake as they call it and a proper spear of my own from Gurlet that was promptly taken by Lucien to prevent me from using it on my own.

I am also preparing to advance as I have not expanded any energy from my energy veins since the first sparing match, making it so it filled up consistently without any wastes. I know I am to Inform Lucien when I advance to allow me to go into closed cultivation in a energy depravation room so as to prevent the events that happened the first time.

After practice today I intend to inform him so as to begin tomorrow, it will take me six months to complete the expansion process and I will be unable to continue my courses until I leave the room.

"I am going to advance and will need to have the room prepared to stay in for long term to complete my advancement." I can see the look of distaste that always appears when I mention my cultivation to him as he most definitely has made his wish for me to try an find an unpainful path forward once my body is cleansed known.

But I have already begun this path and I can't get off so I will continue on even if the pain is enough to kill some people.

Sitting in the energy depravation room the day after I begin the process of condensing my mental energy once more. Once over I lay down next to my plant that I had brought over to have with me for some company during this time, I begin to enter deep meditation and push my mental energy into my energy veins and begin the energy veins expansion process.

Pain once more tore through me as muscles began to break and mend along with my blood veins and small cracks appeared in my bones, the pressure was causing internal injuries.

Bit by bit I merged my hardened energy with my energy veins while some of the energy was absorbed by the injured areas causing them to heal and replace themselves with energy merged parts.

Laying down exhausted I sleep to refill my mental energy for the next step.

Waking to only the feeling of sore muscles an a small smell of decay I know that my body has also begun to expel the impurities along with my mental pathways which I learned is what they call the nervous system in this world.

Taking a deep breath I begin the mental realm expansion process, and as always it hurts far more than the energy veins expansion along with once more causing some nerves to be damaged and slowly repaired and merged with the hardened mental energy. Falling asleep once the process is over to allow for my body and mind to fully recover.

The smell of decay permeates the room as my body tries and throw up the empty contents of my stomach at the scent.

Going into the prepared attached bathroom to wash of and relax I notice after my skin fully dries and returns to normal color after scrubbing it with both water and energy that it has become even lighter than last time having a color of almost but not quite tanned skin, my skin is usually lightly tanned even if I have limited light but now it was not even that as it appeared to be shifting into a lighter color.

Looking in the mirror I study my self to see if any other difference has appeared, although hard to spot my face and hands have changed to be ever so slightly smoother and some scarring has decreased as well as making my face slightly softer and my fingers a little longer. I have even grown a little more than I had originally expected but there is no telling if I didn't just hit a growth spurt during this period.

With no pictures of how I looked when I first entered the cave on me it is hard to tell if I'm just growing or if their is truly a more drastic change taking place when I cultivate.

Grabbing my plant and heading out I see Lucien standing in the waiting area attached to the room meant for those whose family members needed to use the room. He had most likely gotten the alert that the energy in me had returned to normal and came to pick me up.

Hearing me walk in he looks at me and intently an opens his mouth to say, "you look a bit different than before, is there more to the cultivation style than we originally assumed?" He is probably asking Nilan who is sitting on the couch behind Lucien making me unable to see him till I got closer.

"It is possible as he is the first known person to use this type of cultivation, we will have to do a full body scan and compare the data to know for sure." I wasn't the only one thinking I was changing as both also appeared to think it as well.

"If it is changing him structurally then we will have to change up some of our plans for his future education." Nilan continues, I groan at the mention of school causing Lucien to smile slightly and rub my head.

"You have officially been in our world a year after the end of this month and are only at the level of a five year old, if you want to go to Enhanced Being Academy as soon as possible then you need to catch up with the average 15 year old in the following three years while also advancing as much as possible so as to get as much change over with before you attend." Lucien says.

I know that which is why I have gone along with them for everything despite hating instrument and math classes.

Why do I need to know either in order to kill monsters, but at least music is understandable as it trains finger dexterity and reaction ability, math doesn't even have that much. But after all I want to go to the tower and the quickest way is through the academy and I need this much to get in.

Otherwise I would have to wait until I am 18 before being allowed entry.

And so I once more start up my schedule of classes in the morning and physical training and sparring in the afternoon.
