Goten’s Failsafe

18 got up to see Android 21 looking at her.

"Who are you? What happened to me?" 18 asked.

"I am Android 21." She introduced herself.

"It's nice to meet you, Miss Lazuli. Or should I call you Android No 18?" 21 replied.

"Where is my husband and my daughter." 18 asked.

The last thing she remembered before losing consciousness was that her husband Krillin and her daughter Marron were defeated by someone really strong.

She was not able to figure out who that person was but she knew that the woman that is near her was the most likely suspect.

"They are still alive." 21 replied.

18 frowned when she heard 21 said that. It seems that her suspicion of 21 being the one who attacked her family was true.

"I brought you here because I wanted to ask you a favour." 21 said to 18.

At that time in the middle of the Ocean.

"Ahh. I was defeated." 17 said as he floated along the water while lying on his back.

He was a park ranger from one of the most dangerous islands in the world so he was able to prevent himself from drowning.

But even he could not get up immediately after getting hit by Piccolo's special beam cannon.

There was still a hole in his body near his heart which would have killed him if he was a normal person.

But luckily he was not and that was one of the reasons why he is still alive.

At that time Goten met up with Piccolo.

He told him about what 21 said to him.

"And you believe her?" Piccolo asked Goten.

"Yes, but not completely. We still need to prepare to defeat her if she ever decides to go back to her words." Goten replied.

"But right now there is nothing I can do. I don't know where she hid the wave machine that is holding back our powers."

"And as long as the machine is active I don't think even fusion would be enough to beat her," Goten said.

He knows that even if he trains in the time chamber to become stronger his power will be sealed away again and Fusion also would not make a difference.

"She has the data and abilities of Frieza, Cell and Majin Buu. That means she has the potential of Frieza, an instant learning ability and regeneration of Cell and she might even possess the ability to become stronger by absorbing others just like Majin Buu." Goten explained to Piccolo.

"Even if she didn't limit my powers I doubt I would be able to beat her." He said.

"So what do we do now," Piccolo asked.

"Let's go to Kami's lookout. I have a plan." Goten said to Piccolo.

There was a place on Kami's lookout that would allow Goten to learn a technique that might be able to help him defeat her.

At that time. On Beerus's planet.

Goku and Vegeta are fighting each other while being in their Super Saiyan Blue form.

"Oh my. It seems that something interesting is happening on Earth." Whis said as he watched Android 21 and 18 flying together.

Goku and Vegeta didn't notice as they were too focused on their training while a threat that was even bigger than Golden Frieza was about to be released to the world.

At Kami's lookout.

Piccolo took Goten to a room called the Room of Time which is also known as the Pendulum room.

"You are talking about this place. Right." Piccolo asked Goten.

Goten nodded.

It was a room that allowed the person's mind to travel back in time into the past.

However, it cannot alter the events that happened in the past and the interactions that the person who was sent back never actually happened.

But the one who was sent back still retains the memories and experience of the past that he experienced.

It was mainly used as a tool for training warriors by helping them learn a techniques from the martial arts masters who lived on the earth.

Piccolo leaves Goten alone in the room as Goten starts to meditate.

Goten knows that to defeat Android 21 if she ever turns against them he has to improve his martial arts and learn the technique of the greatest Martial artist that ever lived.

He started to meditate as his mind wandered through the past.

When opened his eyes he saw a man with Spiky blonde hair fishing near a lake.

He was wearing a white shirt and a long-sleeved orange coat that had black sleeves. And a pair of lime green pants.

"Huh? Who are you? I feel like I have seen you somewhere before." He asked as he looked directly at Goten.

"I am Son Goten. And I am here to learn Martial arts from you." Goten said as he looked at the man.

"Son Goten? You have the same family name as me." He replied as he looked at Goten with his green eyes.

That man was Son Goku.

To be exact, that man was Son Goku while he was training with Gohan, as the two prepared for the Cell Games.

Goku in the present was the strongest that he had ever been, but Goten doesn't consider him as the best Martial artist.

To become strong Goku started to give into his Saiyan pride bit by bit.

And the results speak for themselves as Goku becomes even stronger, stonger than he was in the past.

But he only becomes stronger as a Saiyan and a warrior.

And he didn't become stronger as a Martial artist. He becomes a lesser Martial Artist than he was before.

Goku in the past had no problem meditating for the entire day even as a kid but in the present day, he struggles to sit still for even an hour.

Goten suspects that Goku becoming more reckless as time goes on is because he is giving in to his Saiyan roots.

Goku in the present day is still a Martial arts master but Goten cannot consider him the best.

To be the best you have to have balance. And Goku in the present day was only starting to rediscover that.
