Chapter 5: John Doe vs. Beerus II

Just as John Doe was about to engage Beerus, Goku finally convinced King Kai, and he rushed back from King Kai's planet.

However, he never expected to witness such an exhilarating battle upon his return.

John Doe took the initiative and unleashed his full power, attacking Beerus with a direct energy blast.

Currently, Beerus's strength was suppressed to match John Doe's level, so he didn't dare to take John Doe's attack head-on and instead retaliated with a punch of his own.

The two began their battle in mid-air.

This was a genuine contest, far from a friendly spar. The intense clashing sounds reverberated through the heavens, and their silhouettes flickered in the air, making it impossible for those weaker than them to track their movements.

The stalemate continued until John Doe's fists were grabbed by Beerus, and their legs became entangled, creating a wrestling-like scenario.

Unfortunately for John Doe, Beerus had a tail, and with a swift swing, he lashed it across John Doe's back. With all his limbs entangled by Beerus, John Doe had no means to launch an effective counterattack.

Beerus repeatedly struck John Doe's back, eliciting agonizing cries from him.

Just as everyone was growing concerned for John Doe, he shook his head, causing it to collide with Beerus's nose.

Beerus's nose stung, and he immediately released his hold on John Doe, who seized the opportunity to counterattack.

After a few powerful attacks, John Doe broke through Beerus's defense and landed a punch on his face.

Beerus was sent flying like a cannonball towards the ocean.

However, before he could plunge into the sea, Beerus stabilized himself mid-air and launched a counterattack at John Doe.

"Bang!" Beerus's punch connected with John Doe's cheek, while John Doe's kick landed on Beerus's abdomen.

Both combatants retreated, each clutching their faces and abdomens, massaging their injuries.

They resumed their attacks, and the battle intensified.

Once again, they knocked each other away, and John Doe, with a wave of his hands, unleashed a powerful Kamehameha towards Beerus.

Beerus neither dodged nor blocked the attack. Instead, he unleashed his energy, enveloping himself in a purple aura, and then swung his arm.

John Doe's mighty Kamehameha was deflected back at him by Beerus.

Facing his own powerful Kamehameha, John Doe chose not to evade it, as doing so would imply that Beerus was superior to him.

John Doe clenched his fists and forcefully struck the rebounding energy blast.

The energy blast flipped and shot towards Beerus again.

However, John Doe hadn't anticipated that Beerus would suddenly accelerate, appearing in the path of the energy blast in an instant.

Beerus's hand, enveloped in purple energy, pierced the energy blast like a sword, then emerged from the smoke of the blast's explosion.

Finally, when John Doe was completely unprepared, Beerus transformed his sword-like hand into a fist and struck John Doe's abdomen, releasing a powerful purple aura that passed through John Doe's body.

Under the force of this heavy blow, John Doe opened his mouth and cried out in pain.

He then clutched his stomach and began to rub it vigorously.

Beerus, admiring John Doe's performance, said, "Your strength is truly remarkable, but compared to mine, it's still far inferior. You need to practice more."

"Alright, that's enough for today. I'm happy, and if there's a chance in the future, I'll come back to spar with you again."

Just as Beerus was about to return to the cruise ship to continue his feast, John Doe called out, "Wait, Lord Beerus, the fight isn't over yet!"

Beerus looked at John Doe with curiosity and said, "How can it not be over? You've already lost. If I hadn't used my fist just now and instead used my hand as a sword, your abdomen would have been pierced by now."

John Doe nodded and said, "Yes, but Lord Beerus, I still have an even more powerful technique that I haven't used yet. Don't you want to give it a try?"

"Oh, you have a hidden technique? I'm very interested. Let's see how powerful your so-called hidden technique really is." Beerus stopped in his tracks and returned to stand before John Doe.

Those on the cruise ship below, especially Goku and Vegeta, watched with anticipation as John Doe and Beerus prepared for their next exchange. They were well aware of John Doe's personality, and if he claimed to have a hidden technique, it would undoubtedly be incredibly powerful.

The only one who wasn't as focused was Whis, who was at the food cart, savoring delicacies he had never tasted in his entire life. He couldn't help but exclaim with delight as he ate.

In the sky, John Doe retracted his blue-green aura and gradually calmed his mind, becoming as serene as the sky itself.

Beerus smiled, observing John Doe's actions. Although he wasn't entirely sure what John Doe was planning, he knew from John Doe's solemn demeanor that this hidden technique would be exceptionally powerful.

John Doe spoke calmly, "Lord Beerus, I'm ready. You can attack now."

"Is that so? Are you sure?" Beerus asked.

John Doe nodded, "I'm sure."

Since his opponent had said so, Beerus tentatively attacked John Doe, but something strange happened.

No matter how Beerus attacked, he couldn't land a hit on John Doe's body. It was as if John Doe had foreseen Beerus's attack techniques and evaded them instinctively the moment Beerus threw a punch.

Not only that, but after dodging Beerus's attacks, John Doe counterattacked during the gaps in Beerus's offense, landing several blows on Beerus's body.

The final punch was particularly devastating, sending Beerus flying into a distant island.

Whis, who was on the cruise ship, was now looking at John Doe with surprise. He exclaimed, "Oh, this is truly astonishing! He's just one step away from mastering Ultra Instinct."

Beerus emerged from the rubble on the island and said, "You've truly amazed me. The fact that you've managed to grasp even a tiny bit of the essence of Ultra Instinct is more surprising to me than witnessing your mastery of godly ki."

"This must be your ultimate technique. As a sign of respect, I'll also unleash my full power to fight you. Don't worry about the energy difference; I'll match your level," Beerus said. After finishing his statement, he took a deep breath, and instantly, a purple aura encircled him.
