Cooler and I quickly flew back to the ship before the planet could reach its expiration date on life, entering through the top and seeing Lila standing there waiting for us.
She walked up to me and I braced for another smack to the head, only to be pleasantly surprised to feel two arms wrapped around my waist.
"You okay?" She asked, her voice soft as a whisper.
Seeing as how she wasn't going to hit me, I wrapped my arms around her and smiled a small bit.
"Nothing permanently damaged except for my pride." I joked.
She chuckles and I feel her shaking her head against my chest.
We stay like that for quite a bit before the sound of someone clearing their throat permeated our ears.
"I can appreciate the worry one has for their significant other, but I think it's time for you to start explaining yourself." Cooler said.
Lila quickly removes herself from my embrace, her face red as a tomato as she turned towards Cooler, looking anywhere but directly at him.
"Think we can put that little conversation on hold actually?" I asked.
Cooler looked at me with a raised brow.
"For what purpose?" He asked.
"For the purpose of telling two mothers that their sons were nearly beaten to death and a father that his son is dead." I tell him bluntly. "By our hands, might I add."
My straightforward answer seems to cause Cooler a bit of pause before he reached up and rubbed his forehead, seemingly having forgotten that we just killed someone that I thought of as family.
"Right, right..." He muttered. "I'll go check on the other members whilst you go inform them on their current situation. We'll meet back in the Control Room in an hour."
Without even waiting for any confirmation, Cooler exits the room and heads towards the Med Bay to check on the two remaining members of the Onyx Squadron.
Seeing that he was now gone, Lila turns to me with a worried expression.
"You okay?" She asks.
"I told you, I'm fine." I tell her once more.
"Just because you mentioned him once, doesn't mean that I forgot who he was to you." She smiles softly and places a hand on my chest, pressing just above my heart. "I recognize the name you called him. Broly. You said he was your little brother."
"He wasn't actually my little brother..." I told her.
"But you thought of him like he was." She said.
I let out a deep breath and turn my head away from her. She tilts her head and looks at me with an inquisitive gaze before I slowly nodded my head.
"You don't have to be strong all the time, y'know... You can let yourself grieve..." She whispers.
"No point in grieving over someone who isn't going to stay dead." I told her, my voice low.
Lila's eyes widened at my words as she instantly realized what I was implying.
"You're going to use the--"
I quickly cut her off by pressing her up against the wall, our bodies in close very proximity each other.
"Zyleth..." She whispered, her cheeks red.
Surprisingly enough, she didn't seem to mind that I suddenly pushed her against the wall to seemingly do some other... extracurricular activities.
I'll have to remember that little tidbit later...
"Look in the corner." I leaned into her ear and whispered.
She looked at me with a confused expression before gazing towards the corner of the room, spotting two cameras pointing at different angles.
"Those are cameras. They record everything they see and send videos to Cooler's personal terminal." I tell her.
Those were the reasons why I started to keep my voice down, so it wouldn't be picked up on any of the cameras. Barring the bathroom stalls and the crew's personal quarters, Cooler had cameras placed everywhere around the ship. And they were excellent at picking up sounds if you weren't careful.
"Keep your voice down." I told her.
She nods and whispers, "You're planning on using the Dragon Balls to bring him back like you did for me, aren't you?"
"That's the plan." I replied.
"And you're avoiding those camera things because you're trying to keep the Dragon Balls a secret from Cooler?" She asked.
"Not so much keep them secret, they're just on a need-to-know basis." I tell her.
"So you're keeping them secret." She smiles.
"Yeah, I'm keeping them secret." I said as I responded with a smile of my own.
We stare at each for a little while before she she tilts her head cutely at me.
"You gonna let me go now?" She asked, her voice returning to its normal pitch.
"No." I said simply.
Her cheeks go red and she giggles a bit.
"Hurry up and go before he gets to the front of Yemma's line." She says.
"You say that as if you're not coming with me." I said as I smirked and teleported us back to Celvana, just outside the cave which we call home.
The sudden change of scenery caused Lila a bit of shock before she shook her head at me.
"You could've warned me." She says.
"I could've, but where's the fun in that?" I asked.
She rolls her eyes and follows me into cave. I step inside my ship and open the container that held the Black Star Dragon Balls, tossing three of them to Lila.
"We should really put them in a better container. I'm tired of bending down for them." I told her as I stood up straight and stretched my back.
"You've only used the container once..." She says.
"Doesn't mean I'm not tired of it." I replied.
Lila and I walked out of the cave and headed towards the clearing, the spot having become something of our official summoning point.
As we walked, I took out the pouch of infinite Senzu Beans and ate one, the soreness from my fight with Broly dissipating like a bad dream.
Once we arrived at the clearing, we place the seven small spheres on the ground and step back a ways.
As I was about to raise my hand and summon Bahamut, I see the thoughtful expression Lila has on her face.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Nothing. I was just thinking about whether or not making wishes one after another has any kind of negative effects." She says as she stares at the Dragon Balls.
Well, that is an interesting question.
If we're going by the Super timeline rules, then the Dragon Balls are pretty much just a get out of jail free card that has no side effects whatsoever.
If we're going by GT...
"Yeah, I'll just go ahead and him..." I tell her.
"Wait, I didn't mean anything by--"
"No, trust me. That would be a really, really good thing to know about." I said, stopping her from arguing.
The normal Shadow Dragons would be a massive pain in the ass, but considering how I made my Dragon Balls, I do not want to have some sort of Divine/Godly variant of the Shadow Dragons running rampant throughout the universe.
I raise my right hand, holding it over the Black Star Dragon Balls.
"Manifest, Bahamut!"
As expected, the Dragon Balls shine a bright red before a burst of red energy shot out towards the sky in the shape of a massive dragon.
The energy grows bigger and bigger until it dwarfs the planet before the visage of Bahamut becomes perfectly visible.
"I am the divine dragon, Bahamut. What is your wish, my Creator?" He asks.
"Bahamut, are there any negative effects that come from using the Black Star Dragon Balls in any way?" I asked immediately, not wanting to beat around the bush.
"There is not." He answered.
I wait for him to explain himself further, but he doesn't.
"That... That's it?" I asked, feeling a bit underwhelmed.
"Yes. I cannot give you any details on this because it simply how it is. In simpler terms, you asking this is similar in nature to if you asked an Arcosian if there are any negative effects to being able to breath in a vacuum. There simply aren't any."
Oh, well I guess that explains it.
I look over at Lila and she just shrugs her shoulders with a satisfied expression.
"Fair enough... Bahamut, can you please bring back the Saiyan known as Broly?" I said. "And for my second wish, please alter the memories of those who had witnessed the death of Broly so that they think we somehow managed to save him instead. Everyone except for Lila and myself, of course."
His blue eyes glow a bright gold and we looked around for Broly, but he wasn't anywhere nearby.
"Due to your second wish, the one called Broly is aboard a ship owned by the one called Cooler, awaiting medical attention."
Huh, dragon came up with and followed the cover story.
That's my boy...
"Farewell, my Creator." Bahamut said before reverting back to his incorporeal state of red energy and returned to the Black Star Dragon Balls.
Like before, the Dragon Balls ascended to the sky and held out my hand to call them back before they could depart.
"Alright, let's head back to the ship." I said before pausing in my steps. "Well, we'll drop these off at our ship first and then go to Cooler's ship."
"Our ship, huh?" She asked with a teasing smile.
Her question causes me some confusion before I suddenly realized what I said.
"We live in it, don't we? Trust me, once you move out, it'll go back to just being my ship." I responded quickly and calmly.
She continues looking at me with that damn smile and my eye starts to twitch in annoyance.
"Shut up." I said before turning and walking away from her.

After returning the Black Star Dragon Balls to the ship, and placing them in a far more convenient container, Lila and I teleported back to Cooler's ship.
"So... where are we going?" She asked as she looked around the hall.
"Med Bay." I answered simply as I leaned against the wall.
"And where's--"
She stops talking as she looks over and sees me motioning towards the door beside me.
"Smart ass..." She says as she walks into the Med Bay.
I chuckle and follow her inside, seeing the members of the Onyx Squadron floating inside the healing tanks.
Besides Broly, they others seemed to have have gotten out of the situation with only a handful of bruises and broken bones. Broly himself on the other hand, looked as though he's seen better days.
Well, obviously, we did kill him.
His armor was completely destroyed, his clothing underneath were in tatters, and there was a scar on the left side of his face and chest.
Huh...
Now that I think about it, didn't he have those scars in canon?
"Feel relieved?" Lila asked, snapping me out of my train of thought.
"A bit. Though all our hard work will probably be sir nothing once Sela gets a hold of them." I said as I looked at them all with pity. "Poor bastards..."
Lila laughs and shoves my arm a bit. I chuckle a small bit and shove her back in retaliation.
[I'm assuming since you've returned that their families have been informed?] Cooler's voice came over the loudspeaker.
"They have." I lied.
[Good. I'm waiting for you both in the Control Room.] He said before the loudspeaker turned off.
The smile on Lila's face suddenly dropped as she heard what he had said.
"Great..." She muttered.
"Not a fun conversation?" I asked.
"Complicated." She replied.
Leaving the Med Bay, we headed towards the ship's Control Room, silence reigning over us as we walked. Upon entering, we see Cooler sitting in his chair and looking out over the core-less planet.
"It hasn't blown up yet?" I asked.
As soon as those words left my mouth, the planet suddenly imploded, leaving nothing but a few rocks and dust scattered around the empty void of what used to be a decent enough looking planet.
"It has now." Cooler said simply as he turned towards us.
"Guess you're going to have to find some other way to make your father suffer." I said.
"Oh, I don't know about that." He says with hint of a smile before pulling out a container holding a familiar looking plant.
"Where'd you find that?" I asked, my eyes widening in a small bit of surprise.
"It was in Broly's pocket." He answers.
How 'bout that...
I wonder if that is something Bahamut caused or if Broly actually had it on his person before he suddenly went apeshit.
...That term takes on a whole new meaning when you're talking about a Saiyan...
"Speaking out, do we know why Broly suddenly flew off the handle?" I asked curiously.
"My medical team is working on that as we speak. We should have answers soon enough." Cooler replied before turning his gaze towards Lila. "However, that isn't the only thing that requires answers."
Lila let out a short breath before stepping towards Cooler and bowing her head.
"Thank you so much for saving Zyleth." She said, he tone nothing but sincere. I opened my mouth to object to the notion of being saved, but she quickly swatted me away and kept from talking. "As I promised, I'll answer anything you wish to ask."
"How did you know about the golden transformation?" Cooler asked immediately, not beating around the bush at all.
Lila stood up straight and I could see that she was biting in her lower lip.
"Because... Because I..." She hesitated.
I step up and place a hand on her shoulder. Lila looks at me with wide eyes and I just give her a reassuring nod. She looks at me for a moment before taking a deep breath and nodding back.
"Because... I'm the one who created you..."
