The match between the two was at an all time high.
"Flame Sword Style, 1st Form, Burning Heat!"
Feng Qin's sword, covered with purple flames, slashed through the air, leaving trails of ember in its wake.
"HA!!"
Cao Fengzi's hammer swung with unparalleled speed and precision, each strike resonating with thunderous power.
The battle raged on, the sound of metal clashing and thunder roaring filling the arena. The crowd watched in awe as the two fighters displayed their mastery of their respective spirits, spirit abilities and self-created spirit abilities.
Feng Qin's swordplay was filled with elegant precision, each strike calculated and deliberate. Cao Fengzi's hammer strikes were like lightning bolts, fast and devastatingly powerful.
Neither fighter held back, both pushing themselves to the limit as they sought to gain the upper hand. The audience held their breath, captivated by the raw intensity of the battle.
As time passed, the fighters began to show signs of fatigue. Sweat poured down their faces, and their movements became slightly slower. But their determination never wavered.
Feng Qin grinned, excitement and thrill rushing through his blood but he kept his cool.
He never expected to meet an opponent who knew how to utilize their spirit to such a degree and even used martial arts similar to those from another world, but it seemed to be inefficient and has too many flaws.
Cao Fengzi's martial skills are either incomplete...or it was just newly created.
If it was the latter, then Cao Fengzi's more of a genius than he first thought. As martial artists who create their own martial skills are usually those of either higher level of cultivation or wise old people who lived for hundreds of years.
Feng Qin inwardly let out a sigh, wondering what would've happened if Cao Fengzi went to the martial artists universe. He could've reached a higher comprehension of the Dao of Lightning and would probably be more stronger than he is right now.
The sound of thunder was heard and Feng Qin looked up to see Cao Fengzi coming down on him with his hammer raised up, his second spirit ring shone and a golden light covered his body.
His eyes sparked with intense lightning.
"Lightning Storm!"
He exclaimed, bolts of white lightning sparked all around him, as if he was a God of Lightning as he brought down the thunder towards Feng Qin!
"Oh shit!"
Feng Qin cursed as he felt a heavy pressure on him, slowing down his movements by 20-30%, anyone else at two rings below wouldn't have been able to move but thanks to his incredible physical body he could still move his body.
But that slight slowness was enough for Cao Fengzi's attack to not miss him.
'Even if I can dodge right now, I could still be affected. Cao Fengzi's hammer wouldn't hit me but his lightning would! And that would restrict my movements, enough for him to attack me with one of his strongest attacks.'
Feng Qin quickly analyzed the situation and came up with a plan.
'Looks like I'll finally use my first spirit ability.'
He jumped back as Cao Fengzi's hammer came down, into pieces. Feng Qin's purple spirit ring finally shone for the first time ever.
Everyone paid clear attention to his spirit ring. Although they have seen thousand year old spirit rings, this was the first time they ever seen a Spirit Scholar use it.
Was it some kind of extremely destructive ability that would use up all of his spirit power?
The answer was no.
Suddenly, crimson flames spew out of the shoulders of Feng Qin and formed into a long, elegant flowing blood flaming cape.
First 1,000 year old spirit ring ability, Flame King's Regalia.
It mostly acts as a defensive type spirit ability as its strong crimson flames would shield Feng Qin from most physical attacks and even some spirit power attacks. But it can also be used for offense, as it can burn and incinerate anything that touches it.
At the time when he mediated to find out what it was, Feng Qin was surprised he got a defense type spirit ability than some kind of berserk type from the Blazing Demon Lion King.
Cao Fengzi's lightning crackled against the flames, unable to penetrate it. Feng Qin took the opportunity to strike back, unleashing a series of quick strikes with his sword, aiming for Cao Fengzi's weak spots.
Feng Qin could have finished this whole thing in a few moves if it was a life and death situation, most of his swordsmanship are killing moves after all, but this wasn't that kind of fight.
Plus, what he needed the most right now was combat experience. As fighting strong opponents would ignite his potential than any heavenly treasure or training by a hundred times.
That was the will and heart of a martial artist. One of the core parts of the Martial Path, fighting!
The clash of elements filled the air, the golden energy and the lightning sparks creating a dazzling display of light. The crowd watched in amazement, their cheers growing even louder.
There was another fierce exchange between the two that created a blinding explosion of light and sound, momentarily blurring the vision of the audience. When the dust settled, both fighters stood, their bodies panting with exhaustion.
The battle had reached its climax, and it was clear that neither fighter had emerged as the clear victor. The crowd erupted in applause and cheers, recognizing the incredible skill and determination displayed by both Feng Qin and Cao Fengzi.
As the two fighters locked eyes once again, a silent understanding passed between them. The battle had forged a bond, a mutual respect that transcended the rivalry. They were both warriors, seeking to push their limits and become stronger.
With a nod, Feng Qin sheathed his sword, while Cao Fengzi placed his hammer on his back.
"Looks like it's a draw," Feng Qin said, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
Cao Fengzi grinned, shaking his head, he cupped his hands and proclaimed, "No. This victory goes to you. Thank you for going easy on me and opening my eyes. I have a long way to go before I claim the strongest title of this generation."
Feng Qin's eyes gleamed. 'Looks like he noticed that
'What terrifying observation skills.'
And with that, the two fighters parted ways, leaving behind a crowd filled with excitement and awe.
"CAO FENGZI! CAO FENGZI!"
"CAO FENGZI! CAO FENGZI!"
"...I won, right?" Feng Qin turned towards the audience with an incredulous expression.
He did, Cao Fengzi admitted out loud that he lost, so why the heck are they cheering his name?
Feng Qin shook his head, that wasn't important right now.
He turned his head, expressionlessly staring at the cold Mei Lin.
'Mei Lin, or whoever the heck you are, I hope you give me a good fight.' He felt his blood boiling in anticipation.
Sure he wanted to help her, but he couldn't help but want to fight whoever was masquerading as her.
'Don't blame me Mei Lin. I'm no hero or a saint, I'm just a guy that wants to reach the end of the Martial Path. I'll just try if I can help you, out of consideration that you're just an innocent girl, but if not...'
