Chapter 41: DEATH....

"This...." Ebube's system panel suddenly emerged before him causing his expression to darken, The information on the panel almost made him trip on his own feet due to shock.
Not only him but the azure glowing deer atop him also had a strange look on her face when her own system panel emerged simultaneously as him.
Moreover the both of them weren't the only one's who received this new message from the system, all around the world, thousands of Evo beast's received the same notification.

After the string of notifications came the information regarding the one to kill, A blood red profile emerged before Ebube and Fa Yifei's eye's, a figure they could never forget, emerged before their eyes.
Before their eye's was the 3D holographic image of a fearsome black scorpion with several blood red pupils, 6 legs, a terrifying tail and two deadly stinger's with a mouth filled with ferocious teeth which were unbefitting for a scorpion.
The image before their eyes could easily instill fear within the heart's of many but the two of them weren't the least bit frightened instead they were busy contemplating the sudden string of notifications they'd just received.
"...This can't be possible" Fa Yifei muttered with a look of uncertainty.
The scorpion before Fa Yifei's eye's was a creature deeply etched within her mind, no matter what she thought she couldn't understand why such a kind and " noble " creature who had once saved her life would suddenly be branded as a traitor by the system and should be hunted down.
Ebube didn't even utter a single word instead his savage fangs gnashed against each other while his pupils revealed a cold gaze.
The sound's of the rampaging bull behind him didn't even grab his attention anymore, instead he was completely focused on the news he'd just received.
"Tsk!, Hold on tight!" The black wolf clicked his tongue with dissatisfaction before quickly speeding up!, in a split second his speed increased greatly.
Although he didn't show it on his face, his mind was clouded with worry after seeing that system notification, if such a thing suddenly happened to his older brother then he couldn't help but worry about his younger siblings as well.
If such a thing happened to him just because he decided to go against the system then their was a high chance his younger siblings might be in danger as well!.
If that were the case then he didn't mind using another skill of his,Ever since he was being chased by the gargantuan bull he didn't dare to use this skill because he didn't have a full grasp on it yet, he feared that if he used it carelessly he might just be offering himself to be Violent Earth Cow instead.
As for what the skill was, just seeing his sudden burst in speed was enough to tell anybody what it was.

" H-Hey!!!!" The azure glowing deer was momentarily caught off guard by the sudden burst of speed, if not for quick reaction her little figure would've fallen off before she knew it.
" Are you trying to get me hurt!, What's with the sudden increase in speed!!" Fa Yifei's eye's glared at the Black wolf below her.
Ebube didn't bother to reply to her word's instead his sprinting figure became a swift gale that disappeared deeper into the forest.
"....?" Fa Yifei who was visibly annoyed suddenly stopped complaining when she noticed the hint of worry the black wolf was giving off.
' He suddenly increased his speed after reading that system announcement.., I know the two of them might be related but as for how much I can't tell for sure..' She tried recalling the past and as far as she could remember whenever the Scorpion was brought up within their conversations she had never seen much of a change in his expression but those could all be forced as well.
The more she thought about it the uncertainty within her eyes grew even more.

The Present....
Ebubes pass pounded the earth rapidly, his whole being screaming of desperation as every muscle in his powerful frame aching from the relentless chase. Although the bull was nowhere to be seen, He could still hear it's unrelenting roars and the sound's of collisions behind him as it continued to chase them from afar.
Its roars echoing through the forest like a harbinger of doom. Fa Yifei felt utterly helpless at the moment, normally she would've been able to take on a violent earth bull on her own, however, this violent earth bull was one at the prink of the next stage.
With her current strength, she knew that facing such a beast was akin to suicide. With nothing left to do, she could only cling onto Ebubes furry back as they fled in terror. Although the chase had taken it's tole on them, they both knew that any attempts at slowing down was definitely not an option.
Fortunately, After running for so long with his speed which was enhanced by his Gale ability, Ebube finally saw a small clearing in the distance, moreover he felt relived when he saw a few silhouettes in the distance.
_Yes!, I made it back!_ Ebube thought to himself with glee.
The closer he got to the clearing, the clearer Kosi and Zara's beastly figures became.
The sight of the both of them gave him a glimmer of hope yet when he got a closer look at their expressions which were overcome by sorrow and heartache, That hope was instantly snuffed out, His heart rate accelerating rapidly before he knew it.
He increased his speed, soon arriving before them in a few moments.
" Hey, what's with the glum looks, What happened? " He asked after coming to a drifting stop Infront of the two but his words feel on deaf ears, The two siblings looked as if they were hollow and lifeless at the moment.
Their expressions further heightened Ebubes fears which threatened to harm his already agitated heart.
