Chapter 5, Chatching up

"Well, Master there were a lot of movements near the place we slept so my senses alerted me so when I woke up, imagine my surprise when I found that some demons were moving around the area we were sleeping."

Hearing Ava talking about demons, I was stunned a little, as I had chosen a very remote place to sleep, so there shouldn't be anyone near this planet except for the few humans that managed to escape.

"Huh? What are demons doing on this planet? I remember that there were only humans here," I asked with my expression turned quizzical and raising one eyebrow in mild surprise.

"I was also curious at the time master, but I choose to evacuate first and ask questions later, but what I found later surprised me greatly," she said with a smile full of amusement.

"Huh? What is it?" I asked her while still looking at her quizzically.

"You wouldn't believe it," she said playfully.

"Hurry up Ava, you know I hate it when you do this, and you better hurry unless you want me to spank you," I said while urging her with my eyes and showing her my hand as I am indicating what her punishment would be if she kept me in the dark.

At first, Ava was worried about her master, as she was afraid that he would change after sleeping for such a long time, not to add that he has been dozing off those few days since he woke up and didn't speak much, but when she heard him saying something about spanking, she knew her master was okay and spilled the beans quickly afraid he would spank her like when she was a child.

"Master, apparently there was some strange energy signal that come from this planet that attracted all the major races in the Universe," said Ava with a big blush on her adorable face.

Although Ava is an adult that lived a very long time, in front of her master she is nothing but a small child.

Seeing her blush like a child, I just surpassed my laughter for now as I focused on the energy signal that Ava just talked about.

"Is this the reason why I was attracted here?" I said murmuring under my breath.

"Are you saying, something master?" Ava asked recovering from her blush and seeing that her master is murmuring something in a low voice.

"I am talking about the reason why I came to this remote place in the first place," I said regaining my focus on Ava.

"Master, didn't you at the time say that something attracted or called you here?"

"I guess? I am not sure, it could that my instincts at the time wanted me to come here, or maybe some of my abilities that allow me to see the future was warning me."

"Then why don't you use them to check now, since a lot of time has passed, and there are a lot of parties on the planet, although they mattered not, I am curious to know about their goals here," said Ava with a little bit of excitement that started to appear in her eyes and on her face.

The answer to this excitement?

"No."

…. Was a flat No.

Bursting the bubble of excitement that Ava was started to feel since she woke up.

"Why master? You ruined my excitement," said Ava with a pout.

"Because I have no energy to look into the future, and looking into the future is no fun," I said while speaking flatly without an ounce of emotion in my voice.

"But doesn't know what they have been looking for all this time is better than waiting?"

"Still no, besides won't it be exciting to just take it from them when they find it?" I asked with a predatory smile, a smile worthy of THE DEVOURER although it is an old habit, and I have just said that I won't devour anyone, who said that there aren't any idiots out there?

But it is not like I am going to go out and advertise my awakening, so I am sure there are going to be a lot of idiots.

Seeing my smile, Ava just shivered but not from fright but from excitement, and Yes, she has some screws loose.

You don't grow beside someone like the Devourer with a sane mind, some of his personality got splashed on Ava which resulted in the current situation where she is shivering not from fear for the poor souls but from excitement at what is going to happen to them.

"Besides, what have you been doing all these years?" I asked curiously. 500,000 years aren't a small amount of time.

"Nothing, I just changed my appearance and joined the supernatural society here on Earth, so I can make money, since our money is a very outdated currency Master, and to make connections as I can't use my real name," said Ava while giving me a cheeky smile.

"Huh, right I still didn't use my senses to check on the planet, as I am too lazy right now, but how many races are we talking about that came here?"

"All," said Ava with a smile.

"All?" I asked skeptically, as that's strange how come all the races in the Universe are here and the planet is still standing with such a peaceful atmosphere without any wars between them?

"All," nodded Ava with a firm nod.

"Even those leaches and pointy ears?"

"Yes, all the societies of the gods in the Universe came here, as for the elves, they planted a World Tree seed that has spurted a long time ago."

"Hmm."

"What are you thinking about master?" asked Ava curiously.

"I was just wondering what am going to do since basically, I have nothing to do now, as I already finished venting my anger," I said with some confusion on my face.

"Why don't you just enjoy your life a little master? Wait for your energy to recover and study some of the trends out there by using the internet, maybe you will find something that attracts you."

"Maybe, I will just sleep for a few more days and check the thing you called the internet here, didn't they name it something else in the past?" I said curiously.

"Yes master, they named it, huh… I don't remember master," said Ava embarrassed after finding that she also can't remember.

"Well, whatever, it isn't important information so there is no need to search for its previous name," I said dismissing the issue.

Saying that I waved to Ava telling her that I will go to my room to rest, as I am getting a little sleepy, and getting my energy reserves back is going to be annoying.

When I senses the atmosphere around me a little, I noticed that the Mana concentration in the air is a little high for a planet that start evolving a billion years ago.

Although a little strange, I just contributed this situation to the World Tree and the appearance of many races here.

The Mana in the air is very large but someone of my caliber can suck half the Mana in the air to replenish 20% of my Mana reserves and doing that would alert whoever supernatural entities live on the planets, and that would be bothersome to deal with.

So, what should I do now?

After spending for what seemed like five seconds thinking, I decided to sleep first and leave this matter for some other time.
