CHAPTER 4

So after a night of Andrew trying to convince his mother of what actually happened he finally succeeded. Even though he was able to convince his mother she told him," I know that you are having a hard time adjusting but I want you to love her the same way you have your affection towards me.Can you do this for me." In which Andrew replied with," For you mom I will do it. Even if it is the last thing I do." After this Andrew prepared himself And once again he went back to Tom's place due to his mother's pleading.

He arrived at the mansion once more but this time he went straight in. He made found Ashley in the piano room once again just playing with the keys in a random set of orders try to come up with something then Andrew asked while standing at the door frame," If that is your attempt of trying to play a piano then you're doing a great job of failing horribly. I'll overlook yesterday's incident and accusations and try to spend this day with you."

"It would seem that what you need is attention and love which luckily for you I I'm allowed to give you due to a promise I made to my mother." Ashley was delighted to hear this so she requested for Andrew to show her how to play the piano by playing a piece of the Blue Danube in which he agreed. The sitting posture was just like earlier but this time Ashley seemed more into it than before. After playing Ashley requested," I think you should break up with Cassie." But Andrew said,"I'm here to give you attention not to decide my life. Since it looks like we are done let's go outside. "

So after that, Andrew went to the garage where he found a lot of luxurious cars parked in a very neatly manner and grabbed the keys to one of the cars then indicating for Ashley to get in. She was a little hesitant but she got in anyway. They sped off in which Ashley found a little fearful because of the high speed Andrew was driving at she requested," Andrew, can you slow down for a little bit."In which Andrew replied, "No because where I'm taking you it's rather far and unique. So strap in."

They arrived at the destination which turned out to be... a regular hotel much to Ashley's disappoinment. Andrew parked the car and they both started going towards the hotel then Ashley inquired," You drove me all the way here just for a regular hotel." But Andrew just said," Just come on inside there is something I want to show you." The establishment didn't have that air of class and elegance Ashley was expecting as it was just a regular hotel which was majorly empty given there were people present just not that much.

They quickly took their seats before Andrew called out for a waiter and ordered something so in the meantime Ashley finally burst," I can't believe that you took me to some mediocre restaurant out in the middle of nowhere." Andrew teased," My lady if this is not to your liking then feel free to leave and unlike you I don't have a solid financial system." The food was delivered which turned out to be chips and dip. There was disappoinment written on Ashley's face but Andrew ignored her and started to eat and Ashley noticing this she took started to eating finding that it was actually quite good.

So after completing their meals Andrew told Ashley," Okay this is one of two reasons why I took you here. As for the second reason why don't you follow me and find out." He got up from his seat and like a proper gentleman he courtesly

helped Ashley get off from his seat and took hold of her hand with the warmest expression he could muster before heading out the back and a grand beautiful majestic waterfall was revealed which was quite a breathtaking site. Ashley was captivated with the beautiful before asking Andrew," How did you know that this was here." Andrew,"My mother and I usually come here to spend some quality time together when she's off from work."

There was a flimsy guard rail which prevented the onlookers from falling down into the waterfall whose bottom was out of sight and the restaurant's best effort of dealing with this was putting up a sign warning the onlookers but it was constantly ignored resulting in a lot of casualties. Andrew watched Ashley walking ahead of him in a playful manner before she suddenly stopped and told Andrew while leaning on the guard rail," Andrew why don't you take a picture of me here." But Andrew quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her out of harms way but instead of a thank you he received an insult from the oblivious girl,"  Andrew why the hell did you do that ! " With a furious expression on her face but Andrew thought it looked kind of cute then coincidentally the guard rail which she was leaning on fell into the dismal abyss rendering her speechless. "That's why."

There was a moment of silence before Ashley spoke up," T- Thank you and screw you. I'm thanking you for saving me but screw you for not telling me that it was unsafe." Andrew with a justified look," There's a sign warning you that the guard rail isn't safe over there." Pointing at a faded sign whose context was covered in in rust and moss but he text was clear on the guard rail. After that Ashley took a few photos of her and Andrew at the waterfall but there was no smile on Andrew's face so she pleaded with a playful manner," Can't you at least smile for the camera please. Do it for your cute little sister." And broke off into a spree of constant pleading until Andrew finally submitted and she perked up and took the picture which looked like Andrew with his dead set face with a small smile on his face while Ashley had a broad smile on her and behind them the waterfall making the picture look more romantic than it should.

So after that they took off once more to the city park just strolling enjoying the weather and peaceful view of this part of the city which seemed to be cut off from the rest of the noisy and chaotic world outside of the park. Due to Ashley's childish tendencies in Andrew's perspective she requested for some face paint and ice cream which he had to give in and the day was concluded. So after arriving Ashley," Thanks Andrew for spending this day with me." Andrew without much care as he was parking the car back in ," Yeah sure, whatever makes you happy I guess." "Andrew can you follow me for a moment." In which he did and they both arrived at the kitchen which left Andrew bamboozled with Ashley's intentions so he asked," Why are we here." Ashley," The reason Andrew is because I want you to make a promise with me." She then proceeded to grab a knife from it's rack and  made a small cut her on her finger and cut Andrew's finger then proclaimed," I want you to make a promise with me." She then closed one of Andrew's eyes with the bloody finger then said,"From now on you will have to close your eyes on other women and make me your priority in your life."

Andrew caught on and said," From now on you will have to keep your mouth shut from speaking anything against me." Resting his finger on her mouth and Ashley concluded their activity. Andrew,"Of course there will be others other than you since I'll make you a priority, not just the only one." And let out a small maniacal laugh and Ashley realizing her error," No I want to do it again." But Andrew brushed it off and went back to the lobby where he it would seem time was stuck but he didn't focus too much on it before he dozed off. Ashley tried to persuade him to sleep somewhere else but he would remain adamant and stayed at his makeshift bed.

A quick nudge was all it took to wake him up from Tom," You sure do like your space huh. But next time you feel sleepy don't feel restrained, just sleep in one of the guest rooms which have spare beds." Ashley interjected" Dad, I tried to convince him but he refused." Andrew was a little surprised where this young miss popped up from but didn't dwell too much on it and gave his goodbyes before leaving.Tom," Andrew, tomorrow you should come over with one of your friends over." " I'm sorry but tomorrow I'll be a bit busy with something so I'll have to turn down your offer. Though maybe another day." Ashley,"Not to pry but what is keeping you so busy not to spend time with me." Andrew really didn't want to answer that because he promised Cassie that he would spend the whole day with her so he came up with an excuse his eyes darting back and forth," Tomorrow I have ah..a learning study group which I can't afford to miss. Gotta keep those grades up"

"Then come  over and host.." Tom stopped Ashley," It's okay Andrew." Then glared over at his daughter then permitting Andrew to leave. When he was out of sight,Tom"Why are you so selfish. Can't you let him to have a day on his own. I understand that he may be one of the first genuine friends you've ever had but give him a break. Now come on I'm pretty sure dinner's ready." Ashley with a dejected face,"Fine but can I go to his place for brushing up my studies, please." "Fine I'll check with Lucy and see if it's okay."

The next day and Andrew is leaving to go meet up with Cassie but a step out and he's already seen an unexpected guest in the form of a obnoxious miss going by the name of Ashley." What are you doing here?" ." My dad told me that I can come with you. Isn't that great and before you blow me off your mom allowed it so let's go already." Andrew started contemplating on what to say to this creature infront of him but nothing came in his mind. During his brainstorming he got a phone call from Cassie with a soothing voice," Have you left yet, not that I'm getting impatient or anything."

"I'm on my way just give me a second okay. Bye" Cassie responded the same and Gerald now Andrew realizing that a sleek black car was parked on the curb started to move what looked like bags into the house. "Ah.. Ashley what is going on." "Well my dad is going on a business trip so for the next couple of days I'll be staying here with you since it gets quite lonely when he's gone."

Andrew underneath his breathe inaudible furrowing his brows," What a shitty start to this day. Knowing you let's go." Andrew took a sedan which was under his custody borrowing from a friend  with Ashley to his dismay but it had to be done and soon arrived at Cassie's who was waiting outside. He got off and  with a faltering smile on his face surprisingly gave Cassie a big ol hug but Cassie knew something was off," What's wrong Andrew my dear ? I know something is bothering you." As if on cue Ashley got out of the car and approached them with a big smile plastered on her face," So you must be Cassie huh" Cassie gave Andrew a baffled expression so he cleared it up," Cassie I'd like to introduce you to my sister Ashley and Ashley meet Cassie." Both females gave a warm greeting to each other then Andrew continued," As of currently Ashley is staying over at our place and I have to babysit her for the day since she can't do anything for herself. I know we had plans for today but looks like we'll have to hold them off for another day."

"Come on Andrew that's no problem she'll just stay here with my younger sister while we have our day." Andrew agreed but Ashley on the other hand was against it showed by the look on her face. Andrew tried to convince her but to no avail so she had to third wheel their day.
