Farewell
Chloe's POV
"Can you hear anything"? Ken asked me, because my ears were pressed to the door. Damn these noise cancelling walls!
"Not since I heard Carter say something about returning favors" I whispered. " It's awfully quiet".
Suddenly I heard the doorknob click and jolted away from the door, dragging Ken and Oliver along with me, who were also pressing their ears.
Margaret opened the door with a weird expression. It was mostly expressionless, but if you know her well enough you can spot a tad bit of melancholy in there. What surprised and delighted me at this moment was her form. It was back to the way it was. She looked stronger than ever. I was so happy that she was cured.
"Margaret, you are back"! I exclaimed happily.
She looked at me with a weird expression, mostly anger and sadness. Did I say something wrong?
"Where is Carter, by the way? He entered inside forcefully". Oliver asked her.
"Gone" she said in one word.
