"Secondly..." Zayne paused to look at Mekhi. It was a look that led Mekhi to stand abruptly. He was slightly jerky in his movements and the suddenness of his actions, and let's not forget, still a little tipsy.
He steadied himself and walked to the altar. On reaching Zayne, he slid something into his pants pocket and stepped to the side.
Zayne nodded at Mekhi and continued while his eyes, never leaving Aubrianne's, said, "I can't think of a better place nor time to do this, but in front of our people and at this ceremony," a dashing smile graced his lips, "I refuse to wait..." He sneakily adds.
Aubrianne's eyes widened at his words, and then Zayne slowly descended onto one knee, holding her left hand.
Her knees felt weak suddenly. She would have fallen if not for Leia, who was just as shocked, but she felt her humans' knees weakened.
"Yes," Aubrianne excitedly shouted, and the crowd erupted in cheerful laughter as Zayne had not asked a question.
