"So, we might not be able to meet each other for a while?" that person asked, his voice filled with longing for her.

"Worried that you will have more work to do?" Anna asked as she chuckled.

"Yeah, it's one of the reasons but I am more worried about you" the person on the other side honestly said.

"Of course Ann! Your-" before he could finish, he got intervened by Anna.

"Are you sure you are worried about me or is it because your workload will increase by two folds?" Anna asked as she teased in a playful tone.

"Ann, I am serious," Allen deadpanned.

"All right.. All right. I am just kidding. I need to go, so I will call you after I return. Don't doze off meanwhile, okay?" Anna said and after getting the reply, she laughed again and then ended the call.

However, she failed to notice Aiden who was standing a little far from here. He coincidently crossed paths with her while he came out to make a call and accidentally heard her voice.

Although he didn't get to listen to the whole conversation, he just happened to hear her laughter and a man saying that he was worried about her.

He felt a little jealous that she could talk to that man carefree and openly. He misses their banter, teasing and in fact, he misses everything of their previous moments. The way she spoke to that guy, Anna used to speak in the same way with him.

'Is he her boyfriend? Perhaps a crush or a suitor if not boyfriend' Aiden thought. The way that guy openly conceded his concern for her, only explains that he is special to Anna.

But he felt like that 'sir' she spoke to, might not be a boyfriend.

He is aware that Anna still feels for him the same way. Today at the funeral, during their first encounter they had after many years, he noticed the ring which she wore as a locket of her neck chain.

it is exactly the same ring with which he proposed to her.

Even after many years, she is still wearing it and it only suggests that she still has some lingering feeling for him.

But he didn't dare to overthink it as her love for him. She might be wearing that ring to remember the pain their relationship left her. Or, even worse, that ring might not mean anything to her!

Most importantly that guy with whom she was on call could be her future boyfriend. Time can heal the pain of her former relationship and sincere pursuit from a guy could make her love bloom again.

"I might have let you go back then, Anna. That time I was not in my right mind, however, now, I am sure that I couldn't imagine my life without you. I am not going to let you go, never" Aiden whispered to himself, determined.

All these years without her were nothing but hell to him. There was no love, joy nor warmth in his life. All he felt was pain, despair and loneliness.

He has got accustomed to living like this but his desire to live a happy and fulfilled life aroused after seeing her again.

"Kyle, I was thinking about what Felix said during the dinner. It's true that you don't have many people supporting you. Besides that, proving yourself to my grandfather in a short span of six months is indeed difficult" Aiden told Kyle who was standing alone at the window.

"Yes, Mr. Fletcher, I am worried about the same," Kyle agreed. Although he has his sister who could help him in almost everything, Ria has told him that Anna can't risk getting exposed. She said that it is dangerous to his sister.

He is not aware of what those dangers are but from his Ria's words he could tell that they are serious enough.

So, he didn't dare to ask Anna for direct help.

"I promised your grandparents that I will look after you and the company if something like this happens. As I am advised to take rest for at least a couple of months because of my accident, I am taking leave from my work. I decided to help you till you get accustomed to the ins and outs of the company" Aiden told Kyle.

"Really?" Kyle asked, elated and surprised.

"Yes," Aiden answered.

Kyle wanted to ask Aiden's help but he thought that Aiden wouldn't agree. After Aiden retired from the business world a few years back, he never made any appearances till now.

So, Kyle was still contemplating whether to ask Aiden's help or not and who would have thought that Aiden would willingly offer help himself.

"I can act as your personal advisor and at the same time, I will also represent my grandfather as the shareholder and one of the directors," Aiden added.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Fletcher. I am really grateful to you" Kyle sincerely thanked bowing a little to Aiden.

Everyone in the circle is aware of how wonderful and perfect Aiden is, when it comes to both business administration and influence.

In their eyes Aiden is someone invincible and undefeatable. They respect him, fear him and what not, his presence alone could make wonders. So, Kyle has nothing more to ask for.

Grandfather Fletcher agreed to support him.

Aiden willingly came forward to help him.

His sister Anna agreed to be at his side as his personal secretary.

Now, he has nothing to worry about. All he has to do is work hard to bring out his potential.

Aiden smiled, noticing Kyle's twinkling eyes and pure smile. It made him remember Anna and coming to think of it, Kyle and has a few similarities personality wise.

After Aiden came back from the garden after his little eavesdropping on Anna, he saw Kyle standing at the floor to ceiling window, deep in thought. And, a perfect plan formulated in Aiden's mind after looking at Kyle.

If Anna is going to be the personal secretary of Kyle, she will be following her boss everywhere. So, if he can be Kyle's personal adviser and mentor, he will be able to spend time with Anna. That is why Aiden decided to help Kyle.

For Anna he broke his promise and decided to go make a comeback in the business world. This time he is determined to go to any lengths for her.
