Chapter 4

This chapter is more of an introduction to the dependants present during the story, so I give you a double chapters.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

819 BBY

As I was sitting on my 'throne' built by my dependants, I looked over the report briefing in summary all of the important actions taken during this year.

While I was reading, my seven dependants were present in case I needed to ask some question about the report.

The report was quite big, even though all information have been summarized by my skillfull dependant.

It wrote about the successfull establishment of the settlement and the continous expansion. The only reason we could do it so fast is due to the fact that we found some old buildings from the Automatas before they disappeared. We then dismantled those buildings and built with it's materials droids and brand new buildings.

The reason we didn't settled ourselves in the old building is due to the difficulty it would offer to defend it, as the surrounding terrain wasn't suitable for defence.

The second more important thing being the dependants, I spared no effort to try to find them, but only seven of them have been found. The main reason is that those expeditions to try to find those dependants are very costly, with all the metal eating predators present on Aurea, many droids sent were destroyed.

Finally, the last thing that I paid attention to was the droid production, due to it being the main source for the manpower of my settlement. Currently we are producing a humanoid droid which was the standard for the Automata civilization. The main reason being that they are the most polyvalent. Although they are very polyvalent and can be sent on all type of task like production, construction and fighting, they are not specialized and aren't as effective as specialized model.

The humanoid droid currently produced are 2 meters tall with a white body. Having what seems like an helmet without opening as face and on it's body, what seems like parts of plate armor. The joints being in parts clearly visible showing that it's main use is certainly not combat.

They are the PH-DM111 (Polyvalent Humanoid-Droid Model 111)

Looking at the nearest dependant, wanting to know if anything else of importance needed to be reported, I asked her in a monotone voice:

"Anything else to report?"

This nearest dependant was a petite girl with long purple hairs freely hanging up to her calf, she had purple eyes and smooth skin. Something that changed a lot from a year ago is that we are finally fully clothed, and her clothing consisted of a big black robe going praticly to the ground. She had a calm temperament, as if she would stay impassive no matter the circumstances. Under the cape, she had some armor parts covering the vital parts of the Automatas and a close fitting black cloth to avoid hindering movements. Due to her appearence, her 'master' named her Medusa.

"No, master"

Nodding at her, I got up from my throne and prepared to go out, my dependants following me closely behind. They will present me future prospects for buildings or production plans as we move to the concerned. The only reason we are moving is due to the fact I'm not used to stay immobile for long periods of time, although this part can change if I do something I'm passionate about.

The settlement looked more like a military base, although it had some factories included. The settlement was made with silosteel, a strange mix of materials found on Aurea of metals and rocks treated with chemicals to ùake it more durable and more resistant. This material gave the settlement gave the settlement a 'furistic' feel to it with it's light grey metallic (shines with light) color.

Listening to a proposition to build a defence facility and nodding to the idea due to the necessity, I couldn't stop my thinking to the effects this body had onto my mind, as I couldn't deny my mind changed during this year.

Firstly, my emotions tuned down, I still have emotions but they are not as 'intense' as they were and I am hardly affected by them. It also accentued somehow some interest I have: for example, my interest in science was accentued. I was a laboratory assistant in my previous life due to the interest I had in science, but now I'm passionate about understanding each science and their laws, making me want to build a laboratory.

"What is the cost and effectiveness?" I asked the two dependants that proposed the idea.

The two servants being a petite girl with silver hair falling to her waist and grey eyes, she had a blue and black robe. With an innocent feeling emetting from her body, if someone looked at her and compared her to her master, they would most probably think they are sisters. Her master named her Melusine.

The other was a mature woman with purple hair also falling to her waist, she had red eyes and a cold temperament, giving the aura of a powerful general. She was named Scáthach.

"It would be enough to defend this side of the settlement, as for the cost..." She began to list of a headache inducing list for many people.

"Materials should be enough."

I am really trying to be more 'social', but I just can't bring myself to speak more, another part that my body seems to influence.

As I portrayed the settlement witht the defencive facility, I saw that we could soon build a spaceport. This project will be a major one but with the greatest effect: it offered aerial superiority and support. Two elements in modern warfare so important that it could be considered a 'victory', albeit a small one if one of the sides successfully have taken aerial superiority (this factor changes depending on the number of anti aerial weapons).

Turning myself to face the rest of the dependants, being Medusa, Artoria and the last three dependants, I asked:

"Anything else necessary?"

The first dependant being a blond woman who seemed to be in her late teens shook her head.

"No master, currently, all necessary facilities have benn built."

She had blond hair tied in a braid behind her back, blue eyes and a 'pure' feeling emitting from her presence. She was called Jeanne by me.

The second dependant nodded her head to the words of Jeanne. She had a face similar to Jeanne, but had short silver hair and pale yellow eyes Finally, she had a somewhat violent and impulsive feeling to her, as if she would pounce on her ennemies the next moment. She was found in an egg just next to the egg of Jeanne, making me think she is a sister of Jeanne, she was then called Jalter as I remembered about the Avenger version of Jeanne.

(Will Jedi think she is a Sith? XD)

The last dependant was a woman with tanned skin, purple hair and eyes. She had an expressionless face and no presence, if one didn't pay attention to her she would be quite quickly forgotten. I called her Hassan.

Her, with Artoria and Medusa nodded too to the words of Jeanne.

Finalizing the decision, we marched toward the droids responsible for construction and protection of the settlement.

Soon, we will be able to build a spaceport and begin to dominate once and for all the planet. Due to the amount of loss taken during expeditions and lack of raw materials, we had a hard time to install ourselves, but once we build a corvette, everything will change.

The corvette in question is the HAC-SC240 (=Heavy Anti Corvette-Star Corvette model 240). It has a 'main hull' with an hangar opening in the rear as well as it's thrusters. Next to the main body of the corvette, there are two wings filled with point defence and medium turbolaser, able to take out other corvette and sometimes light frigate. A fast and nimble ship able to take on many roles.

Although building a ship and the space port is currently a pipe dream due to the lack of material.

"Ready an expedition. We need more raw materials."

Nodding her head, Artoria bowed to me and went toward a group of droids. Thanks to the lack of need of Automatas and droids, we just took weapons, a bit of water for the Automatas and went out, in the search of the much needed materials for our future plans.

And I have a clear destination: the cave that served as a refuge my first night on Aurea, it seems the metal I saw in it is a metal used on spaceships. Exactly what we needed, also, I believe it is time to avenge myself for my arm taken by the Metallbrecher. Although we repaired it, but I will never forget the pain it inflicted on me, as even those days I steel feel a phantom pain. Thankfully, it is possible to replace an arm easily with the technology and characteristics of the Automatas without leaving any trace or impending my movements and senses.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There won't be more dependants, also, while they have fate character appearence, don't forget they don't have the same personnalities and memories, which mean they won't act like their fate counterpart.

The dependants will be:

-Artoria

-Hassan

-Jalter

-Jeanne

-Medusa

-Melusine

-Scáthach
