Waking up the next morning, Owen refresh himself before walking out of his room and going to his mom's and sister's room.

Knocking on the door, he waited patiently for it to be opened, which it did after some seconds.

Walking inside beside his sister, he could see she was tending to the open wound of their mom which was healing in a fast pace.

The herbs given to them by the man seems to be effective as it was gradually closing the wound on her shoulder.

After greeting his sister and his mother, he walked downstairs so as to ordered their meal which they will eat.

Looking at his savings, he could see he still have a lot which could sustain them for now, but he would have to start earning if they were to continue staying in the inn.

Knowing as they wouldn't only be staying in one place and would be travelling from place to place, they would need money to continue doing so.

Carrying the food to the room, they all sat down and eat before he stood up so as to pay Kara and her mom a visit and also buy things for them to eat.

Reaching the healer resident, he walked towards the room he remember Kara's mom being him and was right as he could see her being treatment through the open door.

After finished attending to her, the healer walked out of the room. Seeing her outside, Owen gave her a slight bow which the woman acknowledged by doing the same.

Knocking the open door to announce his presence, he walked inside. Kara on seeing him, she quickly run to him so he could carry her.

Carrying her and walking towards her mom, he sat down on the chair beside the bed.

"How are you feeling now?" Asked Owen as he sat on the chair beside the bed.

"I'm doing good, the healer said I will be fully heal in a week time, so I don't have to worry, thank you very much, it's all thanks to you" replied the girl.

"You don't have to thank me, here, take so the two of you can eat" said Owen as he pass a bag containing food to her.

"Thank you so much, I'm grateful" said the girl as she take the bag and look inside.

Dropping Kara to sit with her mom so the two of them can eat, he stood up so as to take a walk.

Having to stay there with them when eating doesn't seem right to him as it will make the two uncomfortable. Therefore taking a walk was a proper solution to that.

Walking back to them after some time, he could see they were through eating. As the food was too much for the two of them to finish at once, they kept some which they will eat later.

"What's your name miss?" Asked Owen as he remembered that he doesn't know her name.

In the mist of narrating yesterday event to his mother and sister, he find out he didn't even know the name of the woman he save only the child.

"It's Helen" replied the girl, only using her first name and nothing else. "And you".

"It's Owen" replied Owen as there was no need to use his full name.

"Uncle carry me" said Kara as she walked over so he could carry her.

Carrying her and positioning her on his leg, he raise his head to face Helen.

"Helen, let me ask you this question, if you were to ever come across her father, what will you do, or what do you wish for him?" Asked Owen.

"I have always wish for him to get punished for what he did to me, but it's just a wasteful wish as he's from an influential background and can't be touch" said Helen as tears was about to roll down from her eyes but she quickly clean it.

"If he was to be killed for what he did to you, will you be happy?" Asked Owen.

"I would have like that, but for the sake of my daughter, I have never once wish his downfall, no matter how I see it, he is still her father" replied Helen.

"That means you are ready to reconcile with him for the sake of your daughter if the chance was to ever present itself?" Asked Owen.

"I am, I can't let my daughter be laugh at for not having a father, her childhood would be unbearable" replied Helen.

Owen hearing the words said by Helen, he shake his head as he doesn't see the reason to be in a toxic relationship all for the sake of a child.

'Mom would you do the same thing if you are in this type of situation, I won't agree with you going back to such a person all because of us' said Owen inwardly.

"Do you know his address?" Asked Owen as he would like to see where such a person stays.

"He's the son of the Donnie family" replied Helen.

"I'm not really from here so I don't know who the Donnie family is and where they stay" replied Owen.

"The Donnie family is a prestigious family in this kingdom, they have some tie with the king leading to them doing as they please" replied Helen.

"How did you come across her father?" Asked Owen as he could see that her status isn't high or close to the man own.

"I worked as a maid for the Donnie family, but got kick out after I was impregnated by him" replied Helen as tears gather her eyes.

Owen seeing as the topic was too sensitive and he has already heard what he wanted to know, he decided to drop the matter so she wouldn't have to think about the past.

Even though the girl was older than him, he still sometimes see her as his younger sister and doesn't want to make her cry.

'A visit to the Donnie family wouldn't be too bad' said Owen inwardly.
