Chapter25: The akane slaughter

The warriors who regained their freedom began their stampede into the capital city of kronen revenant.But the warriors who had seen so much war and death in their life were put to a halt instantly by the immense carnage that possessed the streets of revenant.Blood, bone, organ any body part you can think of was scattered somewhere in the city.And once the survivor's agonising cries could be heard, reality set in.The warriors knew why they were imprisoned as they found both the dead and injured in their homes.But some soldiers couldn't find any sign of their wife, child or parents."Oh fuck" the warrior was forced to the ground in pure unrivalled fear."What what is it?" another warrior responded."Look!"."Wait isn't that the sasine family home?"."Its... its in pieces" a berserker was left stunned unable to move."Rahhh you think you can just come and demand me to come with you?" Liri in a rage dashed to the ground her hair wild and luminous green.Although caught in a state of mindless rage the smile on her face never faded."If you come willingl..."."I don't want to hear it" Liri knocked the berserker flying into the dead."If were here when Zanshi and the bear return then we'll all be dead it'll be a massacre" one of the five soldiers trembled."Its not them you should be scared of" Liri dashed disappearing from all eyes.Only to reappear seconds later having slammed her fists upon the skull of the trembling warrior.Surrounded by the remaining three un-grazed soldiers all ready to leap into a assault Liri flipped herself upwards.And in her ascent the green flare saw her father charging into the battle.She grinned while whispering "not this time dad, this is my revenge".And her aura changed, her form was still overload one but it was something entirely different at the same time...Energy coated her body like fire but it is no longer her own, the energy was free for all to absorb."Huh what is that?" one warrior cried out.Another ran away from his approaching death "it's like she's possessed by fire"."That's exactly what it is" Liri cried out with joyful ecstasy, "so this is what freedom feels like..., I'm in love with it"."So have you got specialised powers?" a soldier asked dragging himself up, one leg broken."I have no idea what your talking about, so stop ruining this for me" Liri dug her fist into the skull of the questioner.Relentlessly plummeting him, his face pouring with blood, pools of blood resting in his eye sockets.And finally he passed ending his torture.But this did not stop the demon possessed Liri from splattering his head to pieces across the pavement.And suddenly there was no one left to kill but Bjorn and Zanshi sasine's hands were stained in their victim's blood."Tell me what's happened my flare?" Zanshi began to lift Liri up from the corpse."Dad..." Liri sighed into Zanshi's chest, her eyes beginning to well up with tears.And the bear came from the rubble with a shattered shard of the necklace worn by Zanshi's deceased wife Divirity.Enraged Zanshi almost lost his control but managed to grapple onto his sanity keeping Liri close."There's no need to tell me... you have done well my flare keep your brothers safe for me" Zanshi released Liri from his grasp while barging through the crowd.Pushing forth through the stunned crowd the sasine brothers finally found the berserkers..."I'll let you decide how we do this..., you can either die or tell us..." Zanshi was forced to the ground.Spitting blood Zanshi stood up unshaken but his rage was clear to see "i guess you have chosen your answer then".Bjorn walked away without a care, looking for the next group to interrogate.Agonising screams filled the air, as Zanshi pulled every single piece that could be pulled from the berserker's bodies."Oh what's wrong with you I thought you made your decision"."Akane! that's who you are looking for" the berserker cried out."Thank you but it's too late to save you" Zanshi ripped the berserker's head in half passing the disfigured head to the remaining berserkers."So tell me brother do you know where Kanan lives" Zanshi dashed to his brother's side blood still dripping from his hands."I don't but I can find them brother that Kareen is leading the way after all" Bjorn looked to the sky as the feathers fell to the graveyard.An hour passed and the brothers had already made their way through tortured and to the akane family's new burial grounds."I hope you thought this through Kanan I hate to have this be over too fast" Zanshi entered uncontrollable power two, his body over whelmed with the sudden growth of power began to crumble.Suddenly a ball of golden orange energy appeared above the king of brutality's head, lightning swirling around it uncontrollably.The quake bomb was released into the direction of the akane family home and with no warning the building was not just destroyed but completely eradicated."Ah what a shame that my newest interest would be the first to die for her father's mistakes" Zanshi prepared himself for slaughter while the bear looked towards the dome of smoke."Why, why would you attack an ally without warning" Kareen begged for the truth, her wings spread out ready to take flight.But Zanshi spoke no words as he launched himself removing his uncontrollable power two and entering imperial three.Taking hold of the young akane daughter's face Zanshi slammed Kareen into the dull coloured ground.Her body ascended into the sky almost snapping her neck in a instant."You dare to ask why when my wife is dead, my son kidnapped, my daughter attacked, your family deserves no less then to be slaughtered by my hands" the brutal warrior enraged slammed his fists into the young warrior's face.Blood splattering all over tortured's dull environment.Yugo ran from the smoke, coughing relentlessly unable to stop meant he was also unable to see he was at death's door.Kareen screamed helplessly as she was dragged up her legs dangling and afterwards she was slammed into the ground over and over again relentlessly, being implanted deeper and deeper into Kronen's surface.Bjorn was in the mind of a beast having activated his technique known as animalistic nature.And animals needs to feed to live, so they prey on those weaker then them even if they are a child.Snatching Yugo's head from his body Bjorn's first victim was the akane's young prodigy.Kareen's arms fell to the ground seemingly to having given up.But then more shadows ran from the smoke and as the dome faded all of the akane family could be seen.The children were the first to run towards Yugo's headless corpse blood spouting out from the neck as if it was a fountain.Suddenly Kanan leaped from the drifting smoke clenching his hands around Zanshi's neck allowing for his daughter to escape.The bear roared looking upon its next prey...Uzunami and Kult.Bjorn struck them both with Kult being the first to be preyed upon.Bjorn's bear like claw overwhelmed the young brothers slashing deep into Kult's chest.But whilst they were fatal he still had a few moments left.Luckily Uzunami was spared from any harm."Mindless beast" Cylet pushed Koya away, who is cradling the new born Akui.And soon the elderly woman didn't seem so elderly.Her hair and aura glowed a shining sky blue as she entered the form full control.But there was something else as scarlet plates of armour appeared randomly on Cylet's body.But this put no halt to the bear's feeding.As the animal ran towards the scarlet healer drones appeared on his former prey healing Kult's wounds.She dodged all the attacks in which Bjorn threw at her, all his slashes, lunges, grabs and even bites.But soon she was backed into a corner...Bjorn roared spit slapping onto Cylet's face.And as the bear roared his technique faded regaining his control.But thanks to this sudden halt to Bjorn's assault Cylet managed to escape...And without a single trace of her whereabouts she became a ghost.Aiming to heal Kult Cylet created more drones giving up more of her life span.Bjorn turned to face the injured "tell me what gives you the right to defend yourselves when you forced this fight upon us".Taking a hold of his bearded axes Bjorn appeared to lock his eyes onto the strongest person there Cylet.The ruthless bear dashed forward...But his eyes weren't locked upon the strongest after all...Bjorn was looking straight through Cylet.He was aiming for the weakest opponent first...Bjorn barged past Cylet knocking her towards the young Uzunami.And afterwards he took the blade of his axe to Kult's neck, taking the child's head off in one clean strike.Lifted his blood stained axe up Bjorn set his sights upon Uzunami."You won't have any distractions once I kill the children scarlet healer" Bjorn prepared his body, tensing the muscles in his legs.Rushing towards Uzunami Bjorn swung his axes one after another but the blood that coated them both was not Uzunami's.Cylet threw herself into Bjorn's attack protecting Uzunami from all harm.Her back gushed with blood pouring onto the young Uzunami and in her final moments she whispered although very faintly "don't worry... one day I know u'll be an amazing healer my little emperor..., don't forget your kindness for revenge".And as the ghost's corpse dropped to the ground Surak was revealed but his actions were unexpected...Surak stood in guard of the young emperor "I'm sorry uncle but I'm not willing to hide myself away like Liri and I think it'll be better this way"."Heh looks like even children can make their own decisions but you know what this means right?, you have chosen them over us and we can't have a traitor with the sasine name" Bjorn dropped his bearded axes and they slammed into the ash covered ground.Bjorn was saddened as he hopped he would never have to let the beast takeover to kill a member of his own family..."So the king of brutality has decided to take his revenge upon us" Kanan laughed but his fear was obvious."Tell me what did you think would happen when I found my wife dead" Zanshi launched into close combat with Kanan.Kareen flew over the battle, landing next to her mother "we need to get you and Akui out of here mother, they won't spare you".Kanan flew past Kareen landing on top of Koya...Kanan Lifted himself up and as he did Koya began to scream.Akui's remains were scattered all over Kanan's body slowly dropping off his back as if they were rain drops.At least it was a swift end but the long life the newly born baby should've lived was cut so short."You monster!" Kareen's wings spread as she screamed like a banshee."No I'm no monster I'm just a husband and father who saw his wife dead, and found his son kidnapped" Kanan ignored her deafening cries and took hold of her face."Hey akane!, you remember my wife right? well this is gonna be much worse" Zanshi lifted Kareen up into the sky digging his fingers into her skull.Kanan was still suffering from the trauma of Akui and was unable to truly understand what was about to happen that was until...Kareen's body was flailing around above him and his wife, Koya struggling, screaming in panic was unable to life her husband off of her.The universe went quiet, as if everyone had disappeared but that wasn't it.The truth is that the sasine family are some of the most brutal monsters in all of zeon history and no one will ever fight them willingly, so the akane family was alone no one was coming to save them.And as Zanshi slammed Kareen's body into her parents and dead sister again and again without end, that dark truth came apparent to Kanan as he accepted his fate.But Koya was left unharmed and was alive the whole time to see Kanan's body be crushed, to see the life from his eyes fade away, to see him choke on his own blood, to hear him scream...And once his screams ended Zanshi pulled Kareen's body away which flailed into the air, coated with the blood of the deceased."I have no use for you anymore" the brutal warrior tossed Kareen away into the sky."You deserve to know why Koya, why your family needed to be slaughtered, all I can say is that Kanan did it first he attacked my family first he murdered my wife, kidnapped my son and I cannot forgive him for that and to pay for it I will kill all who share the akane name" Zanshi lifted Kanan's remains up tossing them aside.And to live up to the name king of brutality Zanshi dug his fingers into Koya's shoulders but it was almost like she was already dead, there was no emotion left no sound made, her soul was already dead so some could say this is a mercy killing.And so Zanshi pulled on her shoulders tearing her body in half leaving her corpse just like his wife's.But there was one difference the disfigured flesh of her husband and newest born was left in a pile in the middle of her torn body. Bjorn slashed attempting to dig his claws into the boy's flesh, enraging Surak's potential. Surak's aura exploded with new found power but it was not enough, Bjorn felt no fear, Surak was still too weak.Having not put an end to the bear's assault, Bjorn eventually reached Surak.In which he began to claw at Surak's flesh, clawing it all off his arms. Having forced Surak to drop his arms from the excruciating pain Bjorn was ready to deal the final attack. But without hesitation Zanshi tackled the bear... The sasine brothers were forced into a unwanted battle. As Bjorn's mind was that of a beast and Zanshi was a father first.Zanshi must protect his child no matter what happens between them. And so the brothers battled one a beast and one knowing of what his actions will bring. Surak glanced from the battle to Uzunami "hey we need to get out of here while we can, that woman was right you can be great that mark you have its like no other although I don't know what it means". And while the two boys stared at each other titans clashed behind them. Rain began to fall upon all of kronen as today marks the day that brothers must severe ties... "Brother I don't want to kill you come to your senses already" Zanshi grappled Bjorn rapping his arms around his neck. Bjorn began to slash and claw at Zanshi tearing his skin apart. "Damm it Bjorn damm it Surak" Zanshi screamed as his soul tore apart at the same time as his brutality took over, snapping the bear's neck. And while Zanshi cried out surrounded by the massacre that both brothers created Surak and Uzunami had made their escape into the shadows of tortured.
