Chapter19: A warrior of legend

Thirty four years ago today...

In the depths of endless space lies one of the first battles in the great zeon war.

A war between to zeon planets, kronen and cryptos.

In search of new powers and resources to grow their own empires the current kings of each planet decided it best to enslave one another and thus started the great zeon war.

A war which would last over a decade and would leave no victor.

Proud and unshakeable stood king Darkus kurai, future father to three.

And although he was king his clothes were that of common cloth as he needed not for any armour or riches as they would only weigh him down.

And soon king Lation's army began to move forwards but Darkus gave no commands he only lifted his right hand upwards as if to give a signal...

In which a zeon appeared his body that of a titan almost beast like but tamed, he was legendary one of a kind, a demi god.

The unnamed warrior spoke his voice demanding the attention of all even that of a king "my king what do you command of me?".

"Densetsu go do what you said you could do prove that my belief in you and your kind was right" demanded king Darkus.

And in a second the beast who would later become to be known as the warrior of legend appeared in the middle of the opposing army.

Leaving behind a trail of blood and death.

Limbs torn, bodies mangled no single person was left intact or alive who encountered the man known as Densetsu.

Having cleared a path king Darkus' army began their approach through the disfigured graveyard of corpses.

Densetsu soon appeared to overload his body on purpose, and soon after appeared a explosion of overload energy killing at least fifteen zeon warriors.

Their bodies disintegrated from the front leaving only their back halves intact.

Soon after the legendary warrior's body began to tear apart as he entered overload one.

And in his transformation another six zeons fell to his aura.

And next Densetsu approached two warriors with meteorite enhanced skin but this mattered not as he popped their heads like balloons.

Splattered blood all over his face and dripping from his lips Densetsu roared with the excitement of battle.

He began to shout out to all "I am Densetsu a member of the same race you all believe to be useless well I'm here to show you that us overload zeons are the strongest of our kind and now that I'm free ill prove it".

And soon a girl covered in blood stained armour approached the titan but she soon disappeared as he walked straight through her body towards king Lation.

The pieces of her body were stuck implanted onto the chest of Densetsu.

King Lation another titan of the zeon race being six foot five.

Being famous for destroying all that he sees he gained the name annihilation and most forget that his true name is Lation.

The corpses of Lation's army piled themselves on top of each other as they drifted in space and soon they created a wave.

A wave of the massacred!

Densetsu barged through them all without a care for the dead, the only thing he had on his mind was encountering annihilation head on.

And while king Darkus' army was the clearly at the advantage king Lation was not in despair.

And finally the two titans met...

The king of the annihilation and the to be legendary warrior.

Lation ripped the war axe made of meteorite, 7 foot long, off of his back wielding it in just one hand.

And even though Densetsu was a overload zeon annihilation was not afraid.

In fact there was no trace of emotion on king Lation's face.

The two titans clashed their auras unrivalled by any other on the battle field but...

The king of annihilation was unmatched having never known anyone who could match his immeasurable strength.

And so Densetsu's left arm was cut off in one clean swing of Lation's axe.

And while Densetsu cried out in agony, he did not back away even the slightest.

No!, he tackled straight into annihilation making it so he could no longer use his war axe.

The warrior of legend soon used another overload explosion hitting them both in the blast.

But only Densetsu was left injured...

King Lation finally spoke his praises "you know your quite amazing for a nobody overload zeon, join my army and I promise you will live a fulfilled life".

Densetsu's eyes lit up as rage overwhelmed him, he bellowed "I would never just switch sides I have a family on kronen you think I'd just leave them behind?".

Densetsu's body gained a scarlet red tint as he activated the curse mark ability known as imperial strength up to times twenty.

And soon appeared king Darkus who spoke calmly with the only emotion shown was his disgust "I see your just as strong and merciless as ever king Lation".

"Why would that change you know you have only survived so long as you've always hidden behind your warriors" annihilation responded his voice full of malice.

But then two zeons appeared at the aid of king Darkus these were Kanan akane and Zanshi sasine.

Kanan a slightly above average zeon who's talent in close combat is exceptional especially when he is paired with his meteorite war axe.

Which is similar to king Lation's but unlike annihilation Kanan must use both hands to wield it.

And the other, Zanshi named the king of brutality, wielding two meteorite gauntlets on either arm.

You could say that Zanshi is the original brutal warrior.

And soon members of the elite team known as the cryptos warriors appeared.

Cryptos warriors, a team in which the current king so in this case king Lation chooses warriors with unique abilities to serve as the planet's guards and conquers.

The members present are named Tyger and Dieregi.

Tyger being the newest member of the cryptos warriors was unsure of his place but his unique ability caught the eyes of annihilation.

And while this was also the same for Dieregi but she is more proud of that fact then she deserves to be.

Kanan tensed his muscles each one on the verge of tearing.

Using this force he propelled himself without a sound into the heat of battle selecting Tyger to be an quick and easy kill...

And while his judgment should of been right but as soon as their eyes met Kanan felt immense fear rattle throughout his body and thoughts of anxiety beginning to control mind.

Although Tyger had made no movements his eyes gave the glare of a predator.

The mark on his chest was different to other curse marks it wasn't a blank oval no it was a tiger enveloped by fire although no one knew what this truly meant.

But Kanan battled against his fear casting it aside.

And to do this his body underwent a change as he entered imperial three.

And without doubt Kanan took his first swing but missed entirely...

Tyger without any action made entered imperial two and the only words he spoke were "I'm sorry but I really have no choice".

Beginning to step left to right back and forth repeatedly almost never stopping, until he dug his claws into the gut of Kanan.

And as Tyger ripped each blood stained blade out of Kanan all he could hear was Kanan's cries of anger "your sorry? Your pathetic I'll kill you I swear on it".

And once Kanan had finally gone quiet almost dead like he struck!

Fracturing the young cub's sternum.

Tyger began his descent into unconsciousness but kept awake by his animal instincts he avoided each and every one of Kanan's attacks.

Healing his sternum at the cost of a whole year of his life, Tyger clashed against the relentless Kanan.

Seemingly equal Tyger was ready to switch his approach but...

At the moment of hesitation Kanan's rage dealt a fatal blow to the young cub, punching a hole straight through the left side of his chest.

Or at least that would of happened if not for Dieregi's swift interference.

And soon Kanan shouted "hey sasine keep her under control".

Once again Dieregi put her attention solely on Zanshi but what she failed to notice was that in the absence of her attention another member of the sasine family had appeared.

His name Bjorn sasine more commonly known among other warriors as the bear, wielding two bearded axes made of meteorite he stands among some of the greatest warriors in zeon history.

And a lesser known fact about Bjorn is that he is the older brother of Zanshi.

Both brothers entered imperial three to challenge their opponent but they found themselves travelling towards each other and without any way to stop.

It was as if their bodies had a mind of their own.

And soon after Dieregi used the ninth ability to shapeshift her forearms into meteorite broad swords.

Without moving her body and without teleportation Dieregi appeared just a few seconds behind Zanshi.

And as she appeared she put an end to Zanshi's movements but mistakenly she also cancelled Bjorn's...

And the bear appeared in between her and his brother, his eyes fiercely emitting his murderous intent.

And soon after Bjorn's sudden appearance Dieregi was forced upon the blades of bear's axes.

Blood gushing onto Bjorn but they were not done yet.

Zanshi grabbed Dieregi by her legs and ripped them from her torso.

But thanks to her unique ability she sent both brothers downwards prolonging her life for a few moments longer.

Just like Tyger Dieregi's curse mark was different its symbol was of two arrows circling in opposite directions.

And soon Bjorn shouted demanding the attention of Zanshi as if commanded him "throw me towards her brother now!".

Zanshi did as his brother commanded but not out of fear but because of his faith in Bjorn's ruthless strength.

There's a reason they call him the bear after all...

And once thrown it seemed that all sentient thoughts left Bjorn's mind but his body gained huge unnatural increases in strength and speed.

Thanks to his new animalistic power Dieregi noticed the bear immediately but even she couldn't activate her powers in time.

And her limitless safety was shattered, she was useless, her body destroyed, her powers weak, this was it, this is the place of her grave.

Just as a bear preying upon fish in the river Bjorn preyed upon Dieregi in the endless depths of space.

Bjorn ravaged into Dieregi's left arm ripping it from her body making her even more useless.

The youngest brother told of Bjorn's story "my brother has the unique abilities of a animal so he invested himself into that eventually developing a technique which turned him into the beast, and with his unique abilities activated you stand no chance so just give up no special abilities will save you now".

Meanwhile with no interference from Dieregi Tyger was doomed to lose...

Kanan's overwhelming anger was just too much for the novice warrior.

And as both Bjorn and Kanan were about to deliver a final blow to their prey the sounds of chains snapping ran through everyone's ears.

Annihilation soon yelled in horror "what have you done? I didn't give the command".

A untamed monster was let loose onto the battle field.

The final remaining cryptos warrior Gaku krex, King Lation's younger brother.

He appeared mercilessly slaughtering anyone who he encountered not sparing any thought for who they were.

A trail of the dead was soon left as over half of King Lation's army was left in devastation.

Just short of king Lation's height Gaku krex is known as the monster born of kindness.

Although not many know why he is called this as all they see is a monster they don't know his true story.

And yet it didn't matter no matter his story Gaku krex is the only overload zeon with the exception of Densetsu to be allowed a place within the army of a king.

The only reason for this is the undeniable strength the monster possess.

Tyger knowing the reason for the sudden stench of death disappeared to the side lines.

Which opened Gaku's eyes to the one person alone on the battle field Kanan...

But without fear Kanan roared out "you think you can kill me pathetic overload zeon?".

Gaku appeared to have teleported but this was not the case, his speed surpassed that of what the eyes could possibly see.

And Kanan immediately took his words back as without a fight Gaku took Kanan by his throat.

Squeezing each and every breath out of Kanan, death was soon approaching for Kanan akane.

But thankfully Kanan was not alone.

Bjorn being a mindless beast abandoned his brother and went for the strongest threat.

After all in Bjorn's current state all that he could see was a huge pile of meat being served up to him and him alone.

Bjorn appeared and devoured the flesh almost instantly from Gaku's back, revealing his spine.

But its almost like it didn't hurt, no that wasn't it the monster just didn't care.

Gaku threw Kanan to the rotten crowd of corpses.

And took his sights upon the bear.

Burrowing his fingers deep into Bjorn's back, the monster began to carry him like a piece of meat.

But before Zanshi could make any form of retaliation...

Densetsu left his king's side and appeared to aid those left breathing.

Densetsu and Gaku's eyes met both of them holding the same mindless animal buried deep down inside of them.

The only difference is that Gaku wasn't scared of that animal.

Densetsu snatched Bjorn away, throwing him to Zanshi.

Immediately afterwards Densetsu threw a overload fist towards the monster but it didn't have the intended effect.

In fact it didn't have any effect.

Gaku was left unscathed but Densetsu wouldn't so lucky...

The monster born of kindness retaliated using his own overload fist to puncture multiple holes through Densetsu's chest.

Gaku threw Densetsu exactly fifty meters in front of him in which he followed with a explosion of overload energy.

Drenching Densetsu in his own blood, his vision foggy, his balance shaken, his death was assured.

Moving closer Gaku spoke his voice full of malice and hate but not towards Densetsu but towards everything that exists "so you're an overload zeon just like me, well I'm disappointed then but you did do well at the start, maybe if you still had both arms oh well time to move on".

Gaku placed his hand gently onto Densetsu's head.

And Densetsu made no movements having lost almost all of the blood in his body.

And so Gaku ripped Densetsu's head off of his body, dragging his spine out along with it.

Placing his foot onto the once legendary warrior's corpse Gaku for once looked like he was in control.

Kicking the corpse into the chilling depths of space.

Gaku's body became sluggish having been let down he spoke again "don't worry I'm sure you left a mark on everyone's mind who witnessed all you could do".

And after the final word the monster returned crushing Densetsu's head in the palm of his hand.

And once again bringing his attention back to Kanan and Bjorn.
