Awakening

Luke O'Conner was the 16 year old son of Sarah and Mathew O'Conner. With a head of bright red hair and standing at 6 foot 2 he was easy to pick out in a crowd. Being the first born son of one of the nations best businessmen led Luke to live a rather spoiled life. While average in intelligence, he excelled in his physical abilities. With physical abilities that made him have the strength of 4 people. With the abilities he was born with and the money from his parents Luke became quite the athlete and adrenaline junkie. Having mastered multiple fighting styles and being chosen to be apart of the Olympic fencing team, Luke's future was set in stone.

Or at least it was until that faithful day. While doing some spelunking in a cave off of the coast of japan.

-pacific ocean off the coast of japan 2000-

As Luke begins to descend further into the cave system he hears a yell from his spelunking crew

"slow down Luke and wait for the rest of us try not to get separated." Percy yells

"yea yea I know what I'm doing I'll be fine, I see a opening just ahead" Luke replies

Shrugging off the yells from coming from Percy to just wait for them, Luke drops down into the opening he saw. Pulling out his flashlight he sees the opening is bigger than originally thought. As Luke begins to walk forward, the cavern he is in begins to shake and the opening he came in through disappeared. As if on queue the chamber lights up revealing a floating light next to a door with text on it written in a language Luke is unable to recognize. With no other option than to push forward, Luke begins to walk towards it before getting stuck in place. While stuck in place a unknown warmth begins to course through his body that makes him feel like he is full of energy. As the energy left is body as quickly as it came, a voice sounds out inside his head. "Successor found. Spirit root type Axe saint. Body type primordial atlas body. Body and spirit root unawakend, proceeding with awakening.

-24 hours later-

As Luke wakes up the first thing he notices is how much energy he has. The second thing he notices is him being naked minus his underwear. The third thing he notices is how much taller he is. Where as he was originally 6 foot 2, he is now 7 foot tall. Exploring his surroundings Luke finds a robe with a scroll on top. Opening the scroll written in perfect English 'You may be shocked about your surroundings. This robe will fit you and shrink and grow with your height. If you exit the door you will find a library. In the library you will find another letter explaining what happened to you'

Making his wait into the room described as the "library", Luke found a room with empty bookshelves minus 4 books on a table, a scroll, and a ring. Unrolling the scroll Luke reads 'The energy you felt was a qi sensor I used to check your spiritual root and body type and congratulations your pass! Your spirit root type and body type combo is a powerful one however it comes with its drawbacks. With your body type your physical prowess will be hundreds of times more powerful than those of the same cultivation level. The drawback is however you are unable to use elemental energies, but with your body that will not be a issue. Your spiritual root will help supplement that. Your axe saint roots will make your axe feel like it is apart of your body. The 4 books on the table are a cultivation technique that will be able to take you to qi ascension level, which at that point you will have learned enough to make your own technique which is a requirement to ascend. The other 3 books are battle techniques. Oh and before I forget, if you touch the ring to the books and think store you will store the books and if you think remove the books will come out. Once you reach peak qi refining the silver circle in the corner will recognize your energy and teleport you to the land mass you call japan, as well as once you hit qi ascension level I will contact you through this ring again, until then Sword Saint Huang'

With no other choice Luke takes the book titled simply atlas physique refining. Reading through the book Luke begins his journey to ascension.

----1 year later----

One year has passed since Luke began his journey to qi ascension and today was finally the day he escaped his secluded prison. At first he panicked because he was worried about food, but as he slowly cultivated his qi, he noticed that it would alleviate his hunger as he absorbed it. Over the year being here Luke practiced the 3 techniques that he was left. He was gifted a boxing technique a sword technique and a movement technique. The boxing technique was named Sky shattering fist. When fully mastered it enables the use to punch a hole in the sky. The axe technique was named Heavenly severance. When fully mastered would allow the user to chop through anything with the users axe. And the movement technique he received was called sky step, which when mastered allows the user to run in the air at super speeds. Of course this technique was the first one learned by Luke, although he is only able to take 6 steps at the moment.

With the sound of popping bones Luke jumps up in excitement.

"Finally after who knows how long I can finally leave!" Luke shouts excitedly

Gathering the books into the ring Luke steps onto the silver disc and channeling his qi into it disappearing in a flash of light.
