[4] I totally forgot about that

--- Chapter 4 ---

"...wa...p.."

"...wak...u..."

"Eiji! Wake up!"

The irritated voice of a woman echoed around the room that Eiji was slumbering inside, causing him to wake from the sudden attack inside of his ears.

"Ouch.."

His hands that was below the pillow darted to cover his ears from the screeching, before suddenly falling off the couch that he was sleeping on.

Eiji, who was lifelessly sprawled against the ground, tiredly opened his eyes to see his mother 's piercing eyes glare accusingly at him.

"Eiji! You could have told me that you were going to sleep! The guests were outside for a few hours, waiting for me to come back home to open the door for them! Do you know how embarrassed I was opening the door after they waited in the cold only to get even more embarrassed to see you sleeping on the couch with pizza everywhere!"

Azumi started to rant about the idiotic actions that Eiji had caused last night, only causing herself to be even more angry with him while thinking about it.

"You know what? No more live streaming for a month and no more homeschooling, you will officially enter a prestigious school and associate yourself with others! Hopefully you will get rid of that laziness and make yourself more presentable! *Sigh* You are going to be the death of your dear mother..."

Eiji was listening to his mother's speech half heartedly and with lidded eyes but that all changed when he heard her talk about stopping him streaming.

That, at first caused his face to lose some colour, but the moment she mentioned him going to school his eyes turned dead and hus face went deathly-pale.

'No... I'll have to wake up at 7 am again, I won't be able to sleep at 4 am and wake up at 2pm... my sleep!'

Eiji found himself wanting to cry the moment he realised he had to fix his sleep schedule that had been chaotic for the past few months. Not only that, but he will most likely lose some subscribers due to inactivity on his channel.

'Such misfortune...'

Eiji's mother found herself smiling victoriously at her son's devastated expression and happily moved herself to cook some food for the both of them.

"You'll be taking the exam next week, make sure to study hard Eiji! Oh, and brush your teeth I will cook some food for us now!"

His mother's voice clearly and chirpilly resounded from the kitchen, making the boy - who was dead-inside - move his body mechanically.

He then stared wistfully at the time which brightly blinked at [13:25] before walking upstairs.

'I'll miss waking up late...'

[A few hours later]

"Always making the poor-old boy buy the ingredients. I seriously need a rest the moment I get home."

A silver and green eyed boy with messy hair could be seen grumbling to himself as he carried a heavy bag containing a variety of ingredients.

The young man who ranted to himself suddenly stopped himself in front of a bench and propped himself down it while laying his bags beside him.

RING!

A vibration could be seen inside of the boy's pocket as a melodious and harmonic sounds that somehow sounded both irritating and pleasant echoed around him. This caused people who were walking around peacefully around the park to look at the young man sitting peacefully on the bench.

The youth found himself being stared by quite a few people and slowly began feeling uncomfortable.

'I guess even those with seemingly unlimited shamelessness can find themselves embarrassed.'

The youth began putting his hand in his pocked and took out his phone before answering the call that seemed to be from his mother.

"Eiji? Have you gotten the ingredients?"

The messy haired boy rolled his eyes and spoke in a sarcastic but kind tone to his mother on the other side of the phone.

"Yes mother dearest, I'll be home in around an hour, there's a lot of people here now."

Azumi who was hearing her son talk on the other side chuckled slightly before shaking her head and cutting the call with a few words.

"Okay, make sure to stay safe and come as early as you can."

Eiji who previously wore and impassive expression on his face slowly began to smile as he internally thought how lucky he was to have mother that cared for his safety.

Although these thoughts were quickly disrupted by a few swift and hooded figures.

Eiji glanced at the backs of the fleeting figures in subtle shock before getting up and picking up his bag of ingredients.

'I guess they must be those people from the so-called cults that have been running around lately.'

Eiji did have some questions as to what they were doing, but they rapidly disappeared as he decided to mind his business.

Completely unaware that he will stick his nose in their business in the near future.

[??? PoV]

I ran and glided across valleys, and people as I tried to escape from the hooded figures chasing behind me.

'Annoying.'

With all the words I could describe this current situation, I would settle with that one.

At one moment I was peacefully enjoying my ride from England to Japan, before suddenly getting chased by these hooded figures the moment my bodyguards left by the order of my older sister.

I casually glanced behind me and counted the amount of individuals before jumping towards the left.

'7.'

7 figures were chasing me, and judging by how their bodies are popping out of their clothes, they must be males. Quite strong as well.

'Although, I could probably beat them if I had some type of sword with me...'

A vein popped on my forehead as I thought about leaving my prized sword behind for coming here to Japan.

"Hey! Stop running!"

One of the cloaked figures broke me from my reverie as his scratchy and robotic voice shouted towards me.

'He wants me to stop running? Does he think I'm a moron or something...'

The moment the man had decided to say that was the second I started to push my body to run even more faster.

The wind whistled past my ears as I moved swiftly and rapidly through the crowds of people before eventually settling myself towards a lonely valley with no one around.

'Perfect.'

My hand that was hidden under a black, but elegant, cloak quickly reached out to clutch the pipe that was sprawled on the ground before turning my body to face the 7 people that eyed my figure.

We both gazed at each other stiffly and quietly, intense silence engulfing us before one of the males started to speak up.

"The mistress had requested you to follow us."

My eyes began to narrow and focus towards the individual who had stated that before loosening my grip on the pipe.

The individuals saw that and began to look at each other before nodding as if they had came to an agreement.

'Hopefully this will work.'

I began walking slowly towards them and reached out my hand, indicating towards them that they should guide me to where their 'mistress' is.

One of the unfortunate fools fell for my trap by reaching out their hand towards mine. I took that as a sign and swung the pipe that I was holding with left hand towards his head.

BANG!

A clean sound of two hard objects smashing against each other resounded through the valley, making the other figures tense up as their partner fell dramatically to the ground.

'6 more to go.'

My hand that was gripping the pipe tightly loosened slightly as I proposed my body to a stance, or to be more specific, my family's stance.

The hooded people all looked at each other once again before rushing towards me, all aiming at my vital points.

My eyes narrowed at that as I jumped back and smacked the pipe against the individual who was aiming at my neck.

'Weird. They are trained individuals for sure but it seems like they don't want to hurt me...'

My thoughts started to race as I moved through their attacks, knocking two other aggressors to the ground.

'3 more.'

I rushed towards the one that was closest to me, dodging the jab that was aimed at my jaw before kicking at a man's most sensitive spot.

Crack!

Their balls.

I apathetically moved backwards as I saw the man drop to the ground in agony, although he didn't let out a single scream of pain.

The other two figures shivered slightly as their teammates lack of luck and eyed at me with caution, making me smile proudly under the hood.

With 2 people left, my confidence was at an all-time high. I quickly rushed towards the one closed to me and jumped on his back before turning my body to kick at the others jaw.

The man, who I had jumped off of, used this as an opportunity to pull me down by my cloak. I forced my body to move slightly from the man's hand, dodging him from pulling my whole cloak down but not preventing him from removing my hood.

I sighed with exasperation and smashed the pipe down on the man's head before watching him slowly faint from the impact.

'Now who's this mistress-?'

My body that had gotten relaxed by defeating all my opponents instinctively tensed up as I heard some rustling from outside the alley.

My flowing blonde hair - that wasn't covered by the hood anymore - drifted behind me as I turned rapidly to inspect the individual who came out with his hands up.

Messy black and silver hair mixed together with an angular jaw sharp nose. Although, his most distinctive features would be his eyes. A pale silver, an eye colour I haven't seen, on his left and a beautiful shade of emerald on his right. A clear sign of heterochromia, reminding me of another individual I had seen.

Although, I was quite surprised by the man's appearance, I still held my guard up and pointed the pipe at him before questioning the youth.

"Who are you, and are you after me?"
