Creating My Own Empire In The Apocalypse

The Universe is being devoured. Worlds are being destroyed. Only the strongest universe can escape this destruction. ... [The Apocalypse is about to begin. The host should be mentally prepared.] "What the fuck!" Li Chen cursed, his eyes widening. Li Chen was an earthling who found himself transmigrated into a cultivation world, only to be confronted by the onset of an apocalypse. Without hesitation, he prepared to slit his throat with a sword. As an earthling, he had watched many movies and knew the horror of apocalypses; thus, he was not ready for that in his second life. [ARE YOU CRAZY!!] "Don’t you know? Crazy is my middle name. Send me back now or you’ll see crazy." [Wait. Wait. Wait] Even though he was ready to end his life, when he heard what he could achieve and that he could finally fulfill his fantasy of marrying gods, devils, and demons, he hesitated. "Fine... I agree," he finally relented, dropping the sword. Unbeknownst to him, he had agreed to more than he had bargained for.

The Blood Rain came to an end

With the blood rain falling continuously without any intention of stopping soon, fear and horror marred the faces of those who were still safe in the comfort of their hideout.

Inside the Wild Goose Chamber, Li Chen was using his dagger to cut through the chest of a dead zombie, fishing out a red crystal.

Everyone looked at his strange action in shock and confusion. They did not understand why he was doing such a dirty thing.

Confused, none of them asked him why he was doing it.

Since they were under his protection and had witnessed how ruthless Li Chen was, they all knew their boundaries.

Besides, they had all been given jobs to do. The beautiful young miss of the Wild Goose Chamber was no different from the others.

She used her clean, smooth hands to carry chairs and tables to block the entrance.

After half an hour, Li Chen was finally done harvesting the heart crystals of the zombies.

"Manager Bo, throw them away," he commanded.

"Yes... Yes... Young Master," Manager Bo responded and called the other boy in the room. His name was Feng.

Without hesitation, Feng carried the dead zombies and threw them out of the small visible window.

With Feng and Manager Bo working together, they were able to clean the ground floor in thirty minutes.

Looking at the clean floor, Li Chen nodded his head.

"What are you going to do now?" Hera's voice came inside his mind.

"We wait and stockpile food," he responded.

"Good. The movies in your previous world still taught you a thing or two."

"What do you think?" he responded proudly.

"Are you serious about her?" Hera asked.

"Of course, I'm serious about her."

He knew who she was talking about. His previous conversation with Guiyin was him telling her his intentions.

With the world in madness, slow romance and melodrama were useless.

With such a beautiful lady in his territory, it would be foolish of him not to take her as his woman.

"Good. Controlling a territory is more tasking than what you alone can do," Hera responded.

"With such an intelligent woman, your burden would lessen. Moreover, you need to find trustworthy followers. But that can wait for the future."

"Right."

While he was talking with Hera, everyone on the ground floor already had their eyes on him. They waited for a couple of seconds for his decision but got none.

"Li Chen, what should we do next?" Guiyin came in front of him and stopped a couple of feet away.

"We need to find food. Is there anything we can eat?"

When everyone heard this, they turned to look at Manager Bo. Shaking his head, Manager Bo responded, "We don't have food. It's not like this was a restaurant, but there are still many Fasting Pills available."

"Good. Go and bring all the Fasting Pills and anything that could be eaten down here."

Just as he finished speaking, a loud bang came from the entrance. Instantly, a thick tension rose in the air and everyone turned to look at Li Chen.

"Don't worry about them. Go and complete the order."

They all nodded and everyone left for the second and third floors.

Na, Guiyin's maid, did not want to leave, but when she saw her young miss's expression, she unwillingly followed after the servants.

When the world was still in order, she would never have associated herself with these lowly servants, but now...

She sighed and did not think about it any longer. Yet, deep in her mind, she couldn't wait for this madness to be over and show Li Chen his rightful place as a nobody.

With Li Chen and Guiyin alone in the lobby, she looked at the ordinary boy with short hair, various thoughts flashing through her mind.

If such a boy had come before to ask her to be his woman, she would have cut off one of his legs or beaten him until he lost consciousness, but now...

"Is everything you told me true?" she asked.

Staring straight into her eyes, Li Chen responded, "Why would I lie to you? Don't forget I'm also a disciple of the Kunlun sect. Therefore, I have nothing to lie about."

Even though she found it hard to believe, she knew Li Chen was telling the truth.

It had been hours since people started turning into zombies.

Why did the sect not do something about it?

Unless they were also affected by it...

"You said you know how I can be strong again. Is it through that thing you retrieved from the zombies' chests?" she asked.

"Yes," he responded truthfully.

With the prospect of her becoming stronger and becoming his woman or being weak and perhaps chased out to such vile things, even a fool would know what to choose.

"Give me two days to think about it and I will give you your answer," she said.

"No problem."

Seeing that Li Chen was not angry about her asking for two days to think about it, her impression of him rose to another degree.

Shortly, the group returned with a small pouch. This was not just an ordinary pouch but a spatial pouch.

"Young Master, everything is inside it," Manager Bo said respectfully.

Li Chen took the pouch and looked inside, and a light smile appeared on his face.

He gave them each five Fasting Pills and told them they would last for two days.

"You can pick any room on the second floor, but no one should come to the third floor. Is that understood?" he asked.

"Yes," they nodded.

"I will see you in two days' time."

With that, he left for the third floor. To be precise, he went to Guiyin's room.

Looking at his departing back, Na clenched her fist in anger.

Standing close to her, Guiyin could understand her fury but did not say anything.

"Let's go," she said and left to pick a room on the second floor.

Slowly, time whisked by and the blood rain poured heavily like it would never stop.

Those without Fasting Pills were dying of hunger in their hideout but dared not step out.

When everyone was on the brink of going insane from the nonstop blood rain that lasted for three days.

It finally stopped on the fourth day, and the bright sun pierced the dark clouds, shining brightly on Kunlun Village.
