(It's pretty light-hearted, so you don't have to worry. No NTR, No cuckoldry, No UB, No bad tags. Just good old harem with a plot instead of pure harem. Small warning though, the MC won't be immediately strong since that would make no sense storywise. He will still need to train to be able to reach the strength everyone else has. [I could just make him gain a power-up but that would be too easy, LMAO]. Also, English is my third language, so I'm sorry if I have a lot of typos/grammatical errors.) Chapter 7: Four Deaths in One Night

In an apartment complex, in one of the ground floor rooms, rested an old man. As he slept, he was woken up by some loud chanting that probably came from the room above.

Hearing that, he was cranky as his sleep was disturbed, so he shouted, "Goddamnit! Shut the fuck up. You damn noisy brats."

"Goddamnit, There should be no one else besides me in this apartment tonight. Most of the people here work night shifts! Doing religious bullshit so loudly… KEEP QUIET, YOU FUCKERS!"

However, he suddenly heard blood-curdling screams. From his experience as an old veteran, he knew that these were real screams, so he immediately contacted the police as he could no longer move properly.

—----------------------------------------------------------

An officer was driving his patrol car along with his partner while jamming together. Loud music echoed in the car.

Suddenly, their speakers went quiet as their radio sounded, "*Static* Code 240 in an apartment complex building 206, west side, at Fall Street. Officers needed immediately *Static*"

As soon as they heard the alert, their sirens churned as they drove towards the location at high speeds.

"Garcia, do you think it's that rampant murderer that's currently assaulting someone?"

The officer who was driving, Garcia, a friend of Caspian, simply sighed as he said, "I don't know, but if he is, we need to take care of him."

After arriving at their destination, they hurriedly unholstered their guns as they rushed to the building, bumping a homeless man on the way by accident.

They hurriedly apologized as they ran inside the building and headed to the second floor as if running out of time.

They heard screams from one of the rooms, and they headed immediately to the room they heard screams in and broke the door open.

Then they saw a person horribly beating someone up on the ground, his hands and body stained by the blood of his victim.

Garcia then loudly shouted, "Hands up! Don't move, or we'll shoot immediately!"

The man stood up and suddenly lunged at them. Seeing this, they did not hesitate to shoot as they dumped their whole mag on the person.

The man was pushed by the recoil of the bullets even though they were just 9mm. But for some reason, Garcia still felt immense danger.

Suddenly, the man who was pushed down by the bullets stood up and rushed towards them again, in a crazed state.

"How the fuck is he alive!" Garcia shouted as he reloaded his gun. He knew that none of his shots missed.

But the man was approaching at high speeds, so he immediately stopped reloading and pulled his partner while shouting, "Rodriguez! Fall back!"

But suddenly, Rodriguez's neck was sliced open, a horrible gash wrapping his whole neck.

He turned his head at Garcia and mouthed one word, "...Run…."

The man grabbed Rodriguez's neck and threw him to the side. Just as he hit the railing of the apartment complex, his head separated from his body.

Garcia immediately ran while reloading his gun, and fear encompassed his mind. But Garcia knew he had to try and stop that killer, so as soon as he reloaded, he turned back and prepared to shoot.

However, Garcia suddenly felt a stinging pain in his chest as he vomited blood. The person looked at him with amusement as he threw him out of the apartment complex, Garcia's head hitting the ground, killing him.

The homeless man outside witnessed everything and was terrified by what he saw.

As soon as the man looked at him, he trembled from gear and peed his pants while falling down.

The man suddenly disappeared, leaving the homeless man in a terrified state.

----------------------------------------------------------

"There's been another murder!"

Caspian and Abby, who were drunk out of their minds, were instantly awoken from their drunk sleep.

"What!?" Caspian exclaimed.

"Two officers encountered the killer, but both of them are dead. They called for backup, but unfortunately, we arrived too late."

After hearing that, Caspian paled. Two armed officers failed to subdue the killer, which means he's no ordinary person.

Caspian went outside and washed his face to sober up, and so did Abby. They then immediately headed out to the location that was sent to them.

After they arrived at the location, which was an apartment complex, they saw a familiar body on the ground. "Garcia!"

Right next to him was a homeless man wearing a terrified expression.

He saw multiple officers and some forensic officers covering the body up. While gritting his teeth, he approached the homeless man while Abby talked with some officers who were called here.

"Sir, did you see what happened here?"

The homeless man who was sitting on the ground, his pants wet due to peeing, looked up at Caspian. He was trembling as he said, "Mon…ster…! There's a monster there!"

"Sir, what do you mean?"

"Monster! That thing was no human!"

The homeless man cried out as he trembled further. Suddenly he collapsed as his mouth bubbled.

Seeing this, Caspian immediately ran over to the man and checked his pulse. After knowing that the homeless man had no pulse, he immediately started resuscitating him while shouting, "Medic! He has no pulse."

They tried their best to bring him back to life, but unfortunately, he died from shock before they could get any other information.

"Fuck!" Caspian screamed. He couldn't believe four people had died just a few hours after a murder.

Abby, who heard Caspian scream asked, "What happened!?"

"He died of shock… He's probably the only witness."

He looked at Garcia's body with guilt as he couldn't believe that he was dead. Garcia's eyes were still open with a terrified expression. His chest had a hole that went straight for his heart.

Seeing that, Caspian felt kind of sick as he looked away and headed up to the second floor with Abby to take a look at the other two who died there.

As he arrived at the second floor, he saw an officer's body just outside the door. It was Garcia's partner.

While looking, he saw that the body had no head. The forensic officers had already started covering him up, but Caspian saw that there was a horrible gash on the neck.

"What happened here….?"

Abby had a somewhat angry expression on her face as she clenched her hand, forming a fist. "Three people at once…. that son of a bitch has gone too far."

Caspian then maneuvered through the yellow signs and saw that there were multiple bullet casings. "There was certainly gunfire."

As he entered the room where the actual victim was, he saw Scarlet there, observing the body with a frown.

Caspian approached her, and he instantly felt sick when he looked at the body.

The victim's torso still exploded as usual, but the face, arms, and legs were torn to shreds with gashes that looked like cuts from a serrated knife.

"What the hell," Caspian whispered as he crouched.

Scarlet frowned further as he looked at Caspian while saying, "The victim is unrecognizable. I think it's the same murderer, but this time that fucker brutalized the victim so much that I can't even recognize if it's male or female."

Caspian felt angry, and so did Abby beside him. Caspian looked at Abby, who clicked her tongue, but Abby left the room with disgust still clear on her face.

"Detective, here, take this," Scarlet said quietly as she discreetly gave Caspian something in a zip-lock bag.

Caspian didn't bother to take a look as he grabbed it and immediately hid it within his coat as he knew it was important evidence. "Thank you."

"By the way, did you find anything about how the two officers outside died?" Caspian asked.

"No, but I'm sure they used a serrated knife. But the question is, how did they die?" Scarlet said.

Caspian knew what she was talking about as he replied, "Yeah, there are a lot of bullet casings outside. There are also no bullet holes in the walls in this place. That means that they definitely hit their target."

"Yeah, there is even blood from the murderer here."

"Do you mean we can identify him!?" Caspian exclaimed.

"That is a possibility," Scarlet said with a confident smile. But her smile instantly turned to a frown, and so did Caspian.

"That still doesn't answer how the officers died instead of the murderer…." Caspian said as he rubbed his chin.

"That could mean two things. Either the murderer is some kind of 'supernatural creature,' which is unlikely, or there are two murderers instead of one, and his colleague killed the two officers and carried his colleague's body out."

"Yeah, since there are no blood trails outside, that could mean that the person put his associate in a bag," Caspian and Scarlet were convinced that two people had done this.

—----------------------------------------------------------

Abby, who was outside, grabbed her phone and contacted someone, "You need to hurry to find that bitch. He's just clearly brutalizing the victims now!"

"We'll work on it, don't worry."

The phone call abruptly ended as Abby sighed loudly.

—----------------------------------------------------------

As Caspian and Scarlet inspected the body, Grace and her team arrived, asking for everyone to leave again.

Caspian simply greeted his mother as he proceeded to leave, but Grace stopped him. "Son, I know you're angry about me taking the case and letting all these people die."

Grace had a wry smile on his face as she said, "But if we didn't take the case, more people would die since the suspect in this mess is more dangerous and tricky than you think."

Caspian had a wry smile as he nodded his head. He certainly understood what his mother said, but what if they just helped each other? It would've been faster than just taking the case.

Caspian then left and entered his car. He sighed as he grabbed the steering wheel. Suddenly he heard a whisper, "Boo…!"

Caspian was jump scared since he didn't really see anyone in the car. As he looked at his side, He saw Abby, who had a wry expression.

"So, did you find out anything?" Abby asked as she glanced at Caspian's face.

"We found a new clue," Caspian said as he showed the zip-lock bag.
