"Jadon! How are you?" A fairly familiar face approached me. It was someone I had just met today. Nick was his name. He happened to be seated next to me during the two lessons today. Though we didn't talk much at the very least, we did a self introduction out of courtesy.
"Been better." I responded.
"I get you. Join the group. We all met each other today, right?" Nick looked so full of energy as he introduced the rest of the group who were apparently named David, John and Marcus.
"Hey."
"Hello."
"Sup."
They all greeted me simultaneously.
"Hi guys. Nice to meet you…all." I responded.
"We are all looking forward to the night." Nick shouted as he came over with a few bottles of alcohol between his fingers and glass cups on the other. I can't help but think he had a knack to liven the awkwardness. He could lead in conversations too.
"Me too." The group me included said.
"Yeah lets get drunk and party" We all shouted excitedly.
As we had said, we poured drinks and had refills every now and again. The conversations were interesting as we got to know a bit more about each other. Like where we studied, what we want to do later in life. Which family business each one owns. It was a get-to-know-each-other party after all. We also dipped in truth or dare games. I did most of the dares for the fun of it. I could easily lie, which I personally didn't like to do.
A few girls came over and I humored them. Took their drinks. Danced to some songs and complimented them. I did it just the right amount but didn't take things too far. That was my code.
We talked to other classmates and a few upperclassmen that came to introduce the ropes to us.
The truth was that the party was indeed fun. The dawn greeted us as we were very hungover and just like that the first day came to an end.
