Chapter Fourty_Six: Darkness POV: The Feather Is the Trace (Part three)

Song recommended: You & I By PVRIS

"Did you kill her?" he heard as he stared at the wrapped up feather in his possession. He could hear her steps of her heels as she drew closer to his office. He didn't have to turn to know who it was.

"If I did, it isn't your concern. If I didn't, it isn't your concern either. " He replied rudely, not bothering to turn to her. "Tsk tsk tsk, husband being rude won't help you in this case, especially since I have returned for a bit to see my son but from what I've heard, you have been mightily busy sending my son to run your errands." She said camly.

She wasn't bothered by the way he spoke to her or the way he acted. She had been with this man for years. Seen the worst and the best of him yet he had remained unchanged and acted accordingly as soon as they found out they were having a son.

One would have thought that eons later they would have become a bit more normal but in this case, they hadn't and now she had no choice. She had moved to a different realm to rule and would seldomly drop by to see the damned ruler or their son.

It didn't help that the child wasn't one who brought destruction everywhere and was too normal in certain places. Many had questioned her for this and thought that she might have lied about who the father of the child was. However, their son bore the mark so it was hard for her to even try to overlook it.

"Errands that were necessary." He replied. "He's not your errand boy Lu, he's your son and you are still making him pay for his past mistakes. You aren't any different from your father at the rate that you are moving in." She said calmly as she took a seat.

"I am nothing like that old bat," he defended. "You are acting like him, you never went back to heaven and here you are making things harder for your son to see this realm. Hell, which belongs to his father, as home." She attested. "Shut it, woman," he ordered with a look.

She calmly rolled her eyes, not bothered by anything he did. "I am warning you Lucifer, keep doing this and you will lose everything that you ever desired. Everything that you worked for when you left Heaven. You wanted to make a statement, do so but this shit beginning to become an overplayed song."

"I am not my father." He repeated, "You might not be but I will remind you, no one likes being on the losing side." She said as she grabbed what she came for and left without even bothering to see what was on the table or what had him distracted.

And to think, she had fallen in love with him so deeply and hoped that everything would fall into place. Now here she was. Looking at this fool with a bitter taste in her mouth but it was better than being a yes ma'am to Adam.

"I am not my father," he repeated to himself as he unwrapped the feather and stared at the golden feather with a growing smile. He chuckled to himself as he stared at the one thing that his son had proved himself useful for providing.

The one thing that he knew would be able to create the perfect weapon to defend his realm. The Archangles, his brothers and sisters. They would know to never overlook his beings and his realm ever again. They would all be on the same level, whether they liked it or not.

Reaching for the special vase, he conjured up a mix and carefully placed the feather in it. Automatically feeling the power, the vase slowly cracked and broke apart. His eyes went wide with shock as he realized that everyone had been ignoring the greatest creation ever made.

Golden angel … who are you and how were you even formed. He questioned himself.

"What were you thinking!" his mother yelled as soon as the door closed and her assistant cleaned his wounds. "I told you to stay away from every kind of beings as they didn't need to know who you are and they would soon find out what you were. Now look at you marked at the same time hunted by all these beings." She yelled.

"It wasn't my intention mother," he said softly, knowing not to fight with her as she was right. "Wasn't your intention? My question is, why don't you ever listen to me!? We have angels, fallens angels, demons, all trying to access this realm when it was supposed to be the safest of them all.

There is too much history. Too much power. Too much uncertainity in just one of your feathers. Now imagine if they could capture you. Son, we do not have the ability to protect you. If there is a war that possibly breaks out, what do we do?" she asked angrily.

He couldn't answer because he didn't even know. All the good deeds he had done, were now a thorn in his own flesh.
