What the fuck is Arlong doing here ?

After coming out of the washroom, Nami went back to her room. But when she was returning, she saw a shadow on the floor.

Nami was half asleep. So the shadow spooked her out. So she immediately looked at the window.

While the window was closed, it was still made of glass. The faint moonlight was coming through it.

'What the hell is that shadow !'

Nami didn't scream out loud. But the fear in her heart was still there.

Looking around she found the kitty staff on the shelf along with their gun.

Taking the staff, Nami slowly opened the window.

But looking outside she didn't find anyone. But then at the corner of their house, she again saw a shadow, which was moving.

'Fuck ! Is it a burglar ?'

The thought was not impossible or baseless. After the visit of the celestial dragon, they have practically become the richest family in the Conomi Island. While the security of the island is tight, it was not impossible to break in.

Nami thought about calling Bellemere. But then she decided against it.

She was confident in herself. She could already overpower Bellemere due to her special diet and training schedule. So she decided to follow and capture the burglar herself.

Jumping out of the window, Nami silently went towards the direction where the shadow had moved.

Comparing her shadow with the shadow of the burglar, Nami found that whoever the burglar is, he is definitely big. Not wanting to get caught, Nami followed the man cautiously.

The man was covered with a dark cloak. So identifying him in the faint moonlight was impossible.

'Where the hell is he going ? Isn't he going towards our factory ?' Nami asked herself when she saw the man moving towards the factory where the tangerine syrup is made.

The factory was not far away from their house.

'What the fuck is this guy after ?'

Following the man, Nami finally reached the large building which was being used as their factory and store room. With a single jump, the man climbed the three storied building.

It was not an impossible feat. But now Nami was sure that the man was no ordinary man. Now, she was not that confident in beating the man. But backing away was not an option either.

While following him, Nami has hidden behind the tangerine bushes. So now if she tries to back away then the man will be able to easily spot her from that height.

So Nami decided to follow the man further into the factory.

After the man who was completely gone from her vision, she silently started climbing the wall of the building.

Thankfully even though the entire building was mostly made of wood, no creaking sound was made during her climb.

After climbing up to the roof, she found the skylight open.

The man whom she was following was nowhere on the roof.

Peaking through the skylight, she didn't find anyone. So she decided to enter the building.

'Damn ! Where the hell is that guy ! Did I lose him?'

Nami was very cautious. Even though the man was nowhere to be found, Nami didn't drop her guard.

Holding her staff tightly, she searched the floor thoroughly. After not finding anyone, Nami moved to the first floor, where the store room was.

"*Snap*" After hearing the sound of the seal being opened, Nami immediately went towards the storage room.

But when she peaked through the door, she got frozen in her place.

Long saw like nose, sharp teeth like a shark, gigantic stature, light blue skin and gills on the neck.

While it was the first time Nami was seeing the man in her life, she immediately recognised the person. Under the faint moonlight, the man was mixing something into the barrels of tangerine syrup.

The man was none other than

"Arlong…" Nami has unconsciously whispered the word due to panic.

But the fishman who was vigilant during his invasion, immediately heard the voice. His head snapped towards the orange haired girl.

His eyes were glowing green in the shadow of the moonlight.

At that moment there was only a single thought in Nami's head.

'Fuck !'

"Fuck !" Nami cursed loudly as she jumped away. The fishman launched himself after her without making any sound.

His blood shot eyes were fixed at Nami.

It was her first real life fight. And she has to face the freaky ass Arlong as her first opponent.

Obviously she was panicking in this situation. For a moment her mind went blank and she couldn't understand what to do.

But then adrenaline rushed into her bloodstream as she regained her composure.

Nami knew that no matter what she couldn't overpower Arlong. So her best option was to run away and alert the others.

Just as Arlong was about to reach her, Nami adjusted her Kitty staff and opened it at the right moment. One end of her staff hit Arlong in his chest as Nami holded the other end which was expanding towards the opposite direction. The recoil force sent Nami far away from Arlong.

Nami adjusted her posture mid air as she folded her body like a ball in order to roll down towards the stair.

As soon as she reached the stairs she didn't climb down. Instead she jumped down to the ground floor directly.

Landing on her feet she immediately went towards the exit. She sucked a lot of air into her lungs in order to shout as loud as possible upon going outside.

But suddenly, she felt a stinging pain in her neck as darkness clouded her vision.

Arlong cursed. He has taken everything into account before his infiltration.

His plan was simple. Mix poison with the special food that celestial dragons love to eat and then kill them all in one fell swoop.

He even got the most powerful poison available for the fishmen to do the job.

But he didn't expect a little human child to follow him.

But the most surprising thing was that the child knew his name.

Looking at the unconscious human child, Arlong stopped himself from killing her. Making a mess there will only make them suspicious.

Moreover he was interested in finding out how the girl knew his name ?

Arlong hasn't gotten any bounty yet. And unlike Fisher Tiger, he was not that famous. So how a girl from the backwater of East blue knew him, piqued his interest.

After mixing the poison in every single barrel of tangerine syrup, Arlong left the island while taking away the girl with him.
