Overbearing

Several thousands of meters away from the ocean palace; in a forbidden trench where even the highest of Nereids were barred access.

The water element here was extremely pure. A heavy primal energy sat within this trench, its purity and concentration had reached almost impossible levels, after all in this era where primal energy was slowly but surely fading away, such pure primal energy clinging to one location was nearly impossible to come across.

It was at this time that a disturbed figure with a frantic arua levitated through the ocean current before settling on the ground. The dim light released by the walls of the trench illuminated the face of the figure.

It was Pontus, the previously mighty ocean King. If before he had been surrounded by a dignified and overbearing air, now he merely seemed broken beyond the point of redemption.

His robes had been soiled by a glaring blood red stain. It was not just any blood stain, but a heavy spurt of blood he had vomited out when his heart had been shattered.

Now as he lifelessly trekked through the trench, his motion through the waters gradually slowed down, then, finally, after reaching the deepest part of the trench he completely stopped moving before collapsing on his kness.

Amidst the intimidating darkness that stared at his broken expression a pair of deep purple eyes that seemed to contain all the secrets nestled into the world shone.

A calm, dignified voice spoke from the trench. "Pontus I sense that our lands have completely fallen into chaos. What has occurred? Is it the visit of the toxin immortal emissary?"

Before this grand presence Pontus lowered his head even more as he spoke in the mildest voice he could muster. "Crisis has befallen us, and I the king am incapable and useless, the only way to escape this crisis Im afraid, is to rely on the power of our ancestors!"

"Your mind has been pushed to the brink of collapse and even your blood flow Is in total chaos. A mere emissary of the toxin immortals would never be able to do this to you. Just what occurred?" The presence asked with a grave voice.

Pontus's revisited the hellish memory that had fractured his soul into a billion different pieces and forced himself to dwell on the strange sight he had seen.

After a an indefinite amount of time had passed, Pontus finally spoke: "It is a youth of uknown origin. He masqueraded as the emissary in order to find a suitable reason to justify.....killing my sons.

Several incomprehensible things have occurred since his arrival and even now I am certain that what is occurring within our lands is of his doing!"

"A mere youth!?" The deep voice that replied was saturated with astonishment, as well as a good amount of trepidation and fear,

"Yes." Pontus replied simply.

Then the trench was silent again as the the glowing purple pupils that had suddenly opened within it suddenly closed serenely.

The trench entered a strange silence where not even the lightest sound had been made after a while. Even with this, Pontus did not move in the slightest, only kneeling respectfully until the voice spoke again.

After a few moments had passed, the deep voice spoke from the trench again. "Konal, Jirah, you will lead the the ten ocean blades out of seclusion and remove this unpredictable tumour that has infected our lands. After the realm is pacified, you may return with them as soon as possible."

"Yes." An infinity away from the pair of glowing purple eyes, two dignified and overbearing voices sounded.

Meanwhile the man in question, Canaan himself lied unperturbed in the throne room as he stroked Corissa back.

'I almost forgot what this what like..: He thought as his memories drifted to the first time he had coupled with Talia. The moment they had shared was quite similar to this one.

But as Talia's perfect face glowed within his mind he frowned slightly as he remembered the last time he had seen her.

He had invoked the ire of Kaldur, the blood wraith King and, in his rage he had sent at him enough destructive power to obliterate millions of tumes over.

He had prepared himself to die when Talia interfered, then….everything had gone dark.

When he had woken up he was suddenly in Babel's presence. He had no idea how he had come to be in her care and Babel herself had volunteered no information.

Canaan only knew that when he had woken up, she was gone for some reason.

'Why I am I thinking about this?' Canaan thought doubtfully.

He couldn't explain the sudden unease he felt. Eerily it was as if a part of him was certain that something horrible was about to happen to Talia.

Before he could dwell on his thought anymore Corissa eyelids fluttered open.

'It looks like it's my turn to say it' Canaan thought with a nostalgic smile. After a while he finally remarked softly. "I know you are not asleep."

Corissa's beautiful Cerulean eyes opened and faintly shone with a complex light.

The truth was that she had woken a long time ago but she was too ashamed of what had occurred last night to face anyone, especially her mysterious tormenter.

But despite understanding her feelings, Canaan did not seem to care as he seized her chin and faced her eyes with his.

Despite struggling, Corissa was completely unable to break through his casual grasp, she was forced to follow his dark pupils into the lightless abyss the carried with them.

Her struggles stopped immediately as her soul quivered before the sight before her. There was no way to descripe the pools of darkness she faced. They were a bottomless eternal abyss without the slightest bit of life.

Despite knowing the danger they hid, one could not help but want to explore their depths. To sink into the beautiful darkness bit by bit until there was no rescue.

His most inescapable charm had never been his perfect appearance but the pools of abyssal light that rested within his demonic pupils.

"You….who are you?" Corissa asked as if she was in a trance. She had never before felt a grave sense of danger, as she did now from any other being.

Despite the strange magnetism that pulled away at her soul, her rational mind instructed her palms to form a strange seal.

With the unique glow of her divine energy, an azure jade with a strange rune appeared in one of her palms as she hid it at her back fluidly.

As if he wasoblivous to her sneaky motion, Canaan replied to her question with a slight smile. "My name is Canaan. The third son of the Abyss. The Heretic devil emperor and male doppelgänger of Heide the soul stealer."

With his words Corissa shook as if she had been electrocuted. The light in her eyes suddenly dimmed as it was overcome with a deep gray bleakness. She had expected him to be a formidable foe, but never had she thought that her house had offended someone so terrifying.

Her palm closed tighter around the azure jade token in within it and she willed the teleportation rune within it to glow subtly.

It's light had barely bagin to touch upon her body when it suddenly vanished from within her hands.

As her trembling eyes fell on Canaan's form, she found that he lightly gripped the azure jade with his fingers.

His grip slowly tightened until….

[PING}

The azure jade completely shattered into several light fragments that disappeared into the ocean currents.

The shock and terror within Corissa increased exponentially as she attempted to escape his embrace in a fluster. To handle the strain of tearing through space, the azure jade that teleportation runes were inscribed upon were extremely durable.

Not even a gold class devil god using all his strength should have been able to break him.

To completely shatter it into dust with a simplest exertion of force from ones fingers was utterly inconceivable.

"Quiet down!" Canaan hissed as he imprisoned her in a tighter embrace. Some fury was present in his voice as he warned. "Just now, you were wary of me. Fearful of the wrath I would visit upon your kind. You wished to escape my embrace!? To warn them of my coming!?" He asked with a shocking amount of rage in his voice.

Faced with the genuine pressure of Devil emperor, Corissa's cultivation of the mind which she had once been so proud of completely collapsed and she could barely form a string of words.

Bur despite her alarm, something within here seemed to crave the sensation of being pressured without being given the slightest space to breath.

"I have taken you." Canaan began. "Not because I felt any passion for you, but because you were the beloved of my foe and for that reason I took you from him.

However vain and sinful that reason it, you still now belong to only me in body and soul. I could burn everyone you love to death and it would still be your duty to love bme everyday, for only I can be your sun, your reason for living.

And if you have not understood that.." Canaan continued with an evil smile. "Perhaps I will simply have to drill that lesson onto your soul once again."

He immediately pulled Corissa into his body the moment he was done speaking, her yell of surprise soo devolving into screams of pleasure that involuntarily tumbled out her lips.
