Jake?" I exclaimed, surprised.
He retorted, "Crazy Jessie!"
Because we were so engrossed in our musings, the Dean cleared his throat to bring the situation back to its normal state. "Jake Blythe, I'm guessing you've met Jessica Hills before?" said the Dean. Aunt and I were astounded by what we had heard.
"Blythe!!?" Aunt exclaimed as she rose from her seat and turned to face Jake before turning back to face the Dean.
"Yes," responded the Dean, who looked confused. "His name is Jake Blythe, but I thought you already knew him."
When I noticed that a tear was almost flowing down my cheek, I managed to reply, "Yes, I do."
. "Elizabeth Miller and Jake Blythe, is that all you wanted to say?" he asked both of them.
Jake barely glanced at me as they both nodded. I was devastated, and I was intrigued as to why Jake had changed his surname.
The Dean motioned to the female student, "Since you're here today, Elizabeth, I'd want you to assist Miss Jessica Hills in fitting in at this college. You are one of my brightest students, and it will be your obligation to look after her ",
The geek female student with a blue short gown with two braids in her ombre hair caught my attention. Her gorgeous ivory complexion displayed her dimples when she smiled, "I'll make sure to do that sir, and I vow not to let you down."
Her eyes finally found mine, still smiling, and she indicated for me to follow her, so I feigned a grin to disguise my sorrowful gaze.
"Jessie, please take care of yourself and don't forget to buy a new phone or do you want me to send you one?" aunt asked as she moved over to me and pecked my cheek.
"You don't have to buy me everything aunt, I'm not a kid anymore," I said, feigning a grin as I hugged her. "Don't worry, I'll get a new phone soon and I'll make sure to call you first." I let go of her and cast a glance at Jake, who I had a lot of questions for, but I kept them to myself as I followed Elizabeth out of the office.
I'm not the kind to strike up a conversation with someone I've just met, so I kept quiet as we headed to Aunt's car's trunk. I lugged my suitcase myself because there wasn't much in them.
"Let me assist you with that," she said softly, her face lit up with a brilliant and slow smile that spread across her face and into her eyes.
"My name is Elizabeth, and what's yours?" she inquired as I handed her one of the suitcases. I admit that I'm naturally timid, but her smile and vibe made me want to get to know her further.
"My name is Jessica Hills, but you can call me Jess," I said, brushing a strand of hair from my forehead to the side of my ear.
On our walk to the dorm, we chatted about a lot of things, and I learned a lot about her, including the fact that she dislikes honey and milk. I taunted her with it till we got to the dorm, saying things like, "What the fuck, why would a person dislike honey?"
We entered a large hallway that led to the doorways of many rooms, each of which is large and numerous. I'm guessing they'll have around 500 rooms.
She added, gesticulating as if she were playing in a play, "Welcome to the World of the Female Dormitory." I couldn't take my gaze away from her as I chuckled.
She weaved, "a safe haven where you may be yourself and live your life. Have a good time with no pesky boys or lecturers. Jess, this is our fortress "...
"This place looks cool, but don't you think it's funny that people are watching you perform like a Hollywood starlet?" I remarked, a light snicker coming out of my mouth.
She threw her arms around my shoulder and said, "This is just the tip of an iceberg, Jess. Don't worry; I'm not going to ruin the fun "... We both giggled as we struggled to lug the suitcase into the unlocked room.
The room is quite huge and large; giving me the impression that everything at the college is large, which is why I was astonished when I first arrived. The room was painted in blue and white tones, which let the furnishings stand out. "Your room is extremely siiiick Lizzie," I felt compelled to say.
She slid my suitcase inside a large closet door and then adjusted her glasses, "Alan adorned it,"
I knew I'd heard that name before, "Alan? Is he your sibling? ", I inquired, intrigued
"No, he is my childhood friend" she said earnestly.
"Isn't this the female dorm?" I wondered, "You told me boys ain't permitted here."
"Alan is permitted to go wherever he wants; he's brilliant, wealthy, gorgeous, and clever, and he's every Kim Hugh College girl's ideal type."
Is there really any such thing as a guy like that? No, I don't believe so.
"Lizzie, just because he's wealthy doesn't mean he's the perfect kind," I explained.
"Are you kidding me? Don't tell me you haven't heard of Alan Wolfe," she mocked, her face dismayed.
This planet should be neutral; I'm not sure why wealthy people are so adored
"I'm not familiar with him. Who is he, exactly? "..
To be honest, I had no idea who Alan Wolfe was.
"Baby girl, the son of Errol Wolfe Entertainment Industry," she said, placing her palms on his shoulder.
What had I just done? I was stunned. I just insulted the heir of the world's foremost entertainment industry. What was I thinking? I'm a movie buff.
"You are the daughter of Webflix Company!" I inquired, mortified.
Errol Wolfe has a son and his son has only one childhood friend.
With a smile, she nodded.
What have I done? I never once believed i'll meet Will Smith/ Dwayne Johson nor Halle Berry, but I did meet people who were even more superior to them: the heirs of Hollywood CEOs.
Errol Wolfe and Miller never revealed the identities of their children, but everyone knew they were childhood friends.
"I'm sorry for saying that. “I didn't mean it," I muttered, ashamed by the fact that I couldn't even look her in the face.
"Jess, don't worry about it. We are all the same at Kim Hugh College; we only appraise each other academically".
