Going shopping (1)

The silence in the shop was eventually broken by the door opening again.

The one who came in this time was Guang Liang.

When the S Rankers saw him, their eyes all lit up with hope.

That was because out of all the people here, the only one that had any hopes of controlling Maria was him. As her little brother, he was the closest one to her and the one that knew how to guide her the best.

So they all looked at him with pleading looks.

Guang Liang had just arrived, so he was confused by the scene that was in front of him.

But he was a smart person, so it didn't take him long to figure out what was happening.

Especially since he saw the black cloak in Maria's hand.

He had already heard about the situation with the Assassin King. Since he saw that Maria was holding the black cloak, he could guess that this matter had already been settled.

So what he had to do now was…

With a sigh, Guang Liang asked, "Big sister, what are you doing?"

Maria trembled when she heard this.

Normally it would be the other way around between the two of them, but this was the one scenario where it was reversed.

After all, she knew that she went too far when it came to her obsession with cute things. She wanted to stop herself, but it really was hard to stop when she was obsessed with these things.

So it was usually Guang Liang who stopped her when she went too far.

Like this, she had developed a weakness to his scolding when it came to this topic.

As for Seul Ah, she would never raise her voice when it came to Guang Liang, so she was hiding herself in the corner.

But of course, Guang Liang didn't let her off as he reached out to grab her by the head and pulled her back in front of him. He sat her down in front of Maria and then started lecturing the two of them together.

"You two, when will you finally learn not to do things like this without other people's permission? You know that this is wrong…"

The little girl who had been on the verge of tears suddenly looked at Guang Liang with sparkling eyes…It was almost like a princess who had just met her prince…

When he was finally finished scolding the two of them, he took the black cloak from Maria and reached out to give it back to the little girl.

The little girl however didn't take it and just looked up at Guang Liang with starry eyes.

Seeing this, Seul Ah couldn't help feeling a bad feeling.

Her love for Guang Liang surpassed her love for cute things and she came forward to take the black cloak from his hand. Then she walked over to the little girl with a smile on her face as she said, "Here, let me help you get dressed."

Of course, there was a hint of hostility in this smile that made the little girl flinch.

She quickly wrapped up the little girl, only leaving her face out for everyone to see.

Guang Liang didn't really understand what was happening, but he felt that Seul Ah was bullying the girl, so he grabbed her by the head again and pulled her back.

Though he grabbed her by the head, this was something that they could do because they were close. It wasn't a grab that was meant to hurt her, but rather a loving way of bringing her back when she went too far.

The little girl's eyes didn't miss this and she looked at Seul Ah with a bit of hostility.

There was a tense atmosphere that filled the cafe, but Guang Liang was the only one that couldn't feel it.

Everyone else just had a bitter smile on their face as they watched this.

Finally, Guang Liang said to the little girl, "This miss, what are you planning on doing now?"

The little girl looked at Guang Liang and opened her mouth to say something, but then she suddenly closed it as if she had remembered something.

That was right, she was Wu Qing, the Assassin King.

She wasn't the kind of person that would be able to hang out here like a normal person…She wasn't the kind of person that could openly walk out with him in the sun like she wanted.

So after closing her mouth, she planned on leaving.

But before she could do anything, Maria suddenly grabbed her again and wouldn't let her go.

No matter how she tried using her power, there was a force that cancelled it out.

Her power was the power to stop time, so she had been trying to stop time in this space to escape. But when her mana spread, there seemed to be something that prevented it from spreading any further, so she couldn't use it to affect the flow of time.

It was almost as if there was something in this place that was stopping her, like a barrier that cancelled out her ability.

Or like someone was cancelling her ability.

Guang Liang was surprised by Maria's sudden action, so he quickly grabbed her hand as well and said, "Big sister, what are you doing? Let her go, you can't do things like this."

But this time, Maria didn't back down as she shook her head and said, "I'm taking her shopping!"

Everyone was taken aback when they heard this and they couldn't help revealing confused looks.

Maria pointed at the back of the little girl's cloak and said, "I have to repay her for ripping her clothes!"

Everyone looked carefully at the cloak and they found that there was indeed a tiny little rip there. It was so small that if they didn't look at it carefully, they never would have noticed it.

Guang Liang looked at Maria for a bit before giving a sigh.

He could see the determination in her eyes and if he really did try to stop her, he knew that she wouldn't give up. So it was better to just go along with it to make it easier…He knew how hard it was to deal with her if she really made up her mind since he had already seen it many times.

So with a nod and a sigh, he said, "Un, it's the right thing to do. So let's go then."

Maria's eyes lit up and she revealed a bright smile as she gave a nod in response.

The little girl's eyes had been on Guang Liang the entire time, so hearing him say this, she couldn't help asking, "Are you coming with us?"

Guang Liang looked back at her and revealed a bitter smile before giving a nod, "Yes, I'll be coming along too. If I don't come, who knows what kind of craziness my big sister will get up to."

Maria started complaining and Guang Liang just raised his hands with a helpless smile.

Neither of them noticed that there was a slight blush that appeared on the face of the little girl.

However, someone did notice…

"I'm also coming with you!" Seul Ah suddenly shouted.

Guang Liang and Maria were taken aback when they heard this. Guang Liang looked at her and was about to persuade her not to come, but then he saw the intense look in her eyes…

If he said no…perhaps he would suffer a lot…

He had known Seul Ah for quite some time too, it could even be said that he was obsessed with her, so he had paid good money to learn a lot about her. So he knew that when she got this look in her eyes, she wouldn't let anyone convince her otherwise.

The easier way to handle this was to accept just like when his big sister got these kinds of eyes.

It could even be said that they really were well matched to be best friends with how similar their personalities were…

Though his big sister was more gentle than Seul Ah most of the time.

Still, it made him happy seeing the two of them get along like this since it would be very helpful for the future that he had imagined.

But when the little girl saw this look on his face, she couldn't help feeling a hint of pain in her heart.

So instead of being her normal quiet self, she suddenly said, "Aren't we going shopping?"

All three of them were taken aback by this, but seeing the cute way that she said this, they all couldn't stop their hearts from melting.

Maria took the little girl in her arms and then said, "Let's go then! Guang Liang, I'll leave the details to you!"

Without waiting, she started walking out of the store holding the little girl in one hand while holding Seul Ah's hand and leading her out in the other.

Guang Liang was left behind with a bitter smile on his face, but he still took out his phone and started making a call.

Behind all of this, from the group of stunned S Rankers that stood there, Alex asked, "Maria, what about the store?"

Maria just raised the hand that had been holding Seul Ah's hand and waved back at them, "I'm closing the store for today! You can pack up everything for me!"

Without any hesitation, she turned the open sign to the closed side and walked out of the cafe.

All of the S Rankers just stood there with bitter smiles on their faces as they thought…

"How could you do business like this!?"

But not a single one of them said anything and just helped her close the store.

Who told them to be unable to live without her cooking?
