Bound To The Vampire Prince

The human race was at war with the vampires but it all came to an end when an agreement was made. A truce that had been in existence for centuries– a woman would be offered to the current vampire prince to be his wife or mistress, trapped forever as his prisoner. It sounded drastic but thousands of women would kill for that spot but Eliza was the unlucky one Some said she was lucky, while others said it was through power and wealth that she managed to catch the interest of the cursed prince. Eliza lost all her privileges the moment she was proclaimed his bride but what happens when the vampires demand for their prince to have a child with Eliza? Or he chooses another human female that would do the job. " Don't worry, I respect your decision, I understand if you want to take in another wife." She whispered with a handful of tears ready to spill out from her reddened eyes " No wife, you are the only woman in my life!" Dav exclaimed. Will that promise hold for a long time, when Eliza refused to do her duty as the Prince's wife?

The Visit

All eyes were directed to Dav, he was the only one with the right to decide on whether or not she would stay but to my greatest dismay, Dav hadn't said anything. Instead, he seemed to have contemplated the issue on the ground.

I panicked, why would he even have a thought about it? A reasonable husband should have said ' no ' the moment she said those words.

Maybe he did liked her.

Wordless, Dav went to sit on one of the couches and face-palmed himself. With that simple act, I knew he would let her stay.

" Alright, you can stay but only for two weeks as you had said."

Immediately after his words, everything around me disappeared as I was drawn into a world where it was only Dav, his mistress and I that would be of existence. I heard one of Dav's friends curse in the background while Dav's mistress joyfully rushed to him and gave him a tight hug. As expected, Dav didn't push her away even in my presence but only fixed his gaze at me to see my reaction.

Tired of watching the drama before me, I, like a zombie, walked away to Dav's room. I immediately stripped myself of my clothes and walked up to the bathroom where I cried the life out of me. My life felt like my face which had been freed from the bondage of heavy makeup, while my heart felt like the makeup itself which had been flushed into the drainage with the cold water that rushed out of the shower.

I stood there for what seemed like thirty minutes before tying a towel around my chest and getting out of the bathroom. One mistake I made was that I didn't take any change of clothes with me to the bathroom.

Certainly, fate was not on my side as Dav walked into the room the exact moment I stepped out of the bathroom. At that moment, it was just the two of us staring at each other with no one saying anything to anyone.

Dav removed his gaze away from my face to the rest of my body. If looks could strip someone naked, then Dav's gaze would have done the job. I became conscious of myself as I firmly held onto the towel. Vampires were well known for their lust.

I noticed how he carefully studied every part of my body but whenever his gaze traveled down my legs, a certain weird sound would be let out from him.

I figured that he planned not to say anything, nor did I. I disengaged the stares and walked straight to the closet. As expected, he didn't remove his stare away from me until I got to the closet.

It seemed that I forgot the weird advice that my mother gave to me, marriage is not for the faint-hearted. To survive in a marriage, one needed to be strong in heart, especially when dealing with men. And even if Dav wasn't human, there was no difference between him and the average human male when it came to cases like this.

With that, I withdrew my tears and sneezed out the mucus flowing down from my nose, and put myself together. Dav didn't deserve my tears especially when I had just met him less than four hours ago.

I wore my usual nightwear– a free short gown. Usually, I don't like wearing anything underneath but because I would have to share a bed with a male figure, I chose to go against my norms.

Again, why does fate have to be against me?

The moment I stepped out of the closet, I saw Dav seated on the bed, staring at the direction of the closet. It seemed that he had been waiting for me to step out but I wasn't ready to have another staring contest with him, so I diverted my gaze somewhere else and walked up to the left side of the bed since he was seated on the right and laid on it.

Even when I had my back facing him, I knew that his gaze was still directed to me.

" Wife, I'm sorry for letting her stay." He finally opened his annoying mouth to speak. If only he knew how he sounded when he said those words. He still wasn't getting the whole point of my silent treatment. As long as he wouldn't address what happened back at the wedding reception, I wasn't going to say a word to him.

" Wife, I couldn't just let her become homeless. I am the vampire prince, their next king, I just couldn't let one of my subjects go astray."

Annoyed by his chants, I got off the bed, took my pillow, and went to lay on the royal couch in the room but it seemed that was not enough for Dav to understand that I needed to be left alone.

I heard his footsteps as he walked closer to me. He touched one of my arms with his palm and I could feel the signature cold skin of a vampire.

" Wife, please, come sleep on the bed, I will not bother you, please."

My eyes immediately widened, did I just make the vampires' next king beg?

" Please wi–!"

" My name is not my wife, it's Eliza." Once again, I broke my oath of not talking to him but I felt disgusted whenever he called me wife, especially with that mouth he had used on his mistress.

Silence reigned, I did not need a soothsayer to tell me that he had widened his eyes in shock but I cared less. In the next second, I felt the couch press, oh my goodness!

Dav had just laid beside me and due to how limited the space was, his body was in contact with mine. He placed his hands on my waist and brought his nose to sniff my hair…. harshly!

" Wife, you are my wife and I can call you whatever I wish to call you and I wouldn't mind if refer to me as husband." He whispered and again, harshly sniffed my hair.

" Now, will you come to sleep on the bed or would you prefer we stay like this? I am fine with whichever you choose but I might not control myself if we stay like this." He continued and pressed his groin against my behind.

Still, there was no response from me but anyone would have known that my face was flushed and full of embarrassment.

In the next minute, I felt the couch press which meant that Dav had gotten down from the couch and I couldn't help but sigh in relief but my celebration was hurriedly cut short. Dav placed his grip on my waist and in one swoop, lifted me like some piece of paper.

" I'm sorry wife, I have waited for this day when I will have to lay beside you on my bed and I just can't let it pass me by." He said and gently placed me on the bed.

He immediately got on the bed and scared that I might go back to the couch, Dav shortened the distance between us as he coated me with his body and I hated to admit, I felt warm even with his cold skin.

" One thing you should know is that, as your husband, I will always be there for you and will love you until eternity." He whispered and kissed my hair but before my heart could melt by his words, a knock echoed in the room.

" Dav, it's me Beatrice, I feel cold."
